Don't report bugs related:
to CTS failures (LineageOS does not tamper with CTS results)
with Magisk (It sets a number of props on boot like changing build type to the user resulting in broken adb root etc)
with Custom Kernel, MODs (Report that to MOD maintainer)
with non-recommended recovery, vendor or builds (Use what is told in the wiki)
How to report bugs?
Describe how to reproduce your issue, provide a logcat, or dmesg or console-ramoops as required

Pushed new build few minutes ago. Grab it here.
Most of the bugs are now fixed. Good enough to be used as a daily driver. Enjoy!

Awesome!! I installed this a few days ago, and it's super-stable. I was actually planning to update to the Official LOS, but then I saw this

Absolutely!!

amazing!

Sound is (too?) loud
I have noticed that on both this and the Official LOS 17.1, sounds from the media, alarm and ring/notification streams play pretty loudly, louder that the stock firmware. And when I compared the /vendor/etc/audio_policy_volumes.xml and the /vendor/etc/default_volume_tables.xml files with those of the stock firmware, I did notice that for the three streams I mentioned, the values for the volumes were indeed higher than stock.
I have no expertise on the subject, so I am asking you: is this okay for the phone's speakers, or will they be under too much strain?
And, another implication is that there are times when I find even the lowest volume for my alarm too loud.
Anyway, I edited the files on my phone to use the values in the stock firmware (attached below). But I just thought I should report here.
PS: Out of curiosity, I tried to find /vendor/etc/audio_policy_volumes.xml and /vendor/etc/default_volume_tables.xml on the nokia_PL2 and nokia_sdm660-common device trees on the HyperTeam GitHub, but I couldn't find them. Where are they? Are they extracted by extract-files.sh?
I hope I'm not being a nuisance

Released new build here
Changelog is there as well. Have fun!

Turn off AudioFX

Issue on both LOS 17 and 18 with Tachiyomi and Clover/Kuroba (image viewing apps). Maybe has something to do with scaling/dpi.
Tachiyomi will not load the image scale correctly.
Clover loading of full quality doesn't work , the image disappears and breaks the swiping feature.

I am aware of the issue as I use Tachiyomi too. Can't spot what's wrong, so probably they will remain broken for a while. I will try to fix but no promises.

I was following the instructions at Lineage for a clean install. When instructed to install a recovery image, I assumed the boot.img provided with your package was that recovery image. After flashing it, the phone won't boot and both fastboot mode and recovery mode seem inaccessible. Any help?

That sounds weird, shouldn't happen unless you did something wrong. I suggest try this TWRP: https://github.com/HyperTeam/android_device_nokia_PL2/releases/download/20201016/twrp-3.3.1-PL2.img

Thanks. I installed the latest LineageOS 18.
But for the life of me, I can't get gapps to install.
Using twrp, I format/wipe, flash lineage.zip, then gapps.zip, then clear the dalvik cache. Then boot.
Am I missing something?

After flashing lineage.zip, rwboot back to bootloader, change slot to other one, reboot to recovery and install gapps.zip then. TWRP doesn't changes slot automatically like LineageOS recovery.

That did the trick. I've never dealt with a A/B scenario before, which has caused all of my problems.
I guess the current Gapps for Android 11 is not really ready yet. Sign in is a bit wonky with some apps.

can it update itself?
Great job done, I hope there will be support?
How the firmware update process works. Where can I read more?:good:
Or do you need to flash everything again as soon as a new version appears?

SCREENSHOTS
Thanks to @THEVAN3D for the Screenshots
Actually, there is a section just for them
Ok, so... I've installed the ROM on my phone.
Everything works and these are the "bugs" that I've noticed after short testing:
1. Wi-Fi works when you shut down your phone after first boot and turn it back on
2. Camera recording works fine, records properly but in app (Camera app) recording (preview) is 4:3 and pixelated. Final video looks great.
3. Nothing more so far... will be thoroughly testing it in a few days...
Downloading!
Unfortunately I can't get the wifi to work. I've tried clean installing twice and rebooted several times after first boot but still no wifi.
Hope for a fix in the near future as it seems to be a great rom.

Yes, the latest firmware from Sammobile. Unfortunately not, you have to put phone into Download Mode and flash it. Then you'll be completely stock. Flash TWRP, and from there ROM and SuperSU

Cool! Thanks for your help!
Ok, after testing it for a day... Camera on RR is broken too. "Can't connect to the camera" after taking a few shots, closing the app and opening it again.
Also, Wi-Fi sometimes won't work after a reboot so we need to turn off the phone, wait 15 sec and turn it on again...
Everything else is lightning fast.
We'll see what we can do...
yes,i see. same peoblems with camera.
I have to try it yet, but if it is buggy only on the camera app - and not the ROM itself - it is simple: just delete the standard camera app and install any third-party that works fine. Isn't it just the case?
I have just tested the ROM myself. The problem seems to be the Snap Camera and some versions of Google Camera. Others work fine
hey lucky good job working on this awesome build ... but i had the @pchatzop version that you posted on the optimized thread for more than 2 weeks now and it's working fine ... is this one any different ?? any changelog ??
also can i dirty flash it over pchatzop one ? or do i need to make a clean install ?

Well, actually I don't know. I didn't try it, as well as this build. My main device is a OnePlus 3, so I cannot test them so often. Anyway, looks like my version has some bugs. Don't know if they also are in pchatzop build, instead if you can please test and report (after a nandroid backup)

Great TY @Deadman waiting AOSP 7.1.2 for T800 Good Luck :good:
Thank you. I been waiting for SM-T805.
thanks deadman. i appreciate all the variations in roms your giving us for the T700. have a good day
Having trouble getting Viper to work with this and the latest LD build. I'll see if I can figure it out, but I thought I would post in case anyone else has already had a solution. If I find it first, I'll post in both threads.
I really hope you could make it for T705 sir
I really love the pureness and simplicity of AOSP
Thanks for keeping this tablet alive. Installation went well. Same SD card problem so I'm now a set up as portable storage. MTP host FCs whenever SD card browsing is attempted.
Battery life seems to be same as MM.
Is this better/more stable than your ASOP 7.1.1 ROM?

Maybe should have said 'based on' AOSP. I think it said that in the description.

Build pulled do to some reboot issues
HD Video works fine (does not stutter)
FYI. This ROM installed and runs great on my SM-T700. I did have to install SuperSU, Open GAPPS and Titanium Backup separately (install one at a time and reboot to system after each install) instead of stacking them. But no big deal.
The main thing I want to say is the HD video plays just fine and does not stutter as stated in the intro list of issues. I've tried it on MX Player, Google Play Movies & TV, DirecTV and Showtime Anytime. I did have problems with the prior ROM versions playing any video on some of those Apps.
Thanks Deadman

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.1 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Obviously not a lot has been ported to Lineage so please don't report issues like: "broken buttons backlight". That will be ported over soon (TM).
Also you need custom TWRP build to install these packages, you can find link in the OP.
BTW: You might have to force reboot after the gapps installation is complete as the unofficial installer is bit buggy ( you can do that by holding power, vol down ). Also it doesn't support addon.d so it doesn't persist when updating to next builds.
BRUH! <3
Oh my god thx you so much !!! ?
In call voice is coming from bottom speaker and not from ear piece, volume is pretty low.
Google sign-in stuck on Checking info...
FC on Google Play services on boot
Magisk is working
Can't side load apps. Settings>Apps and Notifications>Special App Access But can be pushed through adb. -_-
Thanks for making this ROM super fast!
Cheers!
The changelog link is wrong. It should be "15" instead of "15.0". And TWRP link says no mirrors found.

aye my man, if people are having trouble with gapps, especially with updating google services then they should flash this one https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=817550096634796662
May be you should put it on the OP

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

OpenGapps 10 are stable now!
Thank you, LuK! I'm enjoying LOS 17 already. Dirty flashing worked flawlessly.
To others who wanna try this ROM: OpenGapps for Android 10 are currently in beta and can be downloaded here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/opengapps/files/arm64/beta/
EDIT: OpenGapps 10.0 are not beta anymore! Download them on the ususal website: https://opengapps.org/
Thank you, LuK!
Finally an Android 10 rom ver of LineageOS will try this later.
Thank you very much, Luk, for another big step for the mi5s/plus!
Thanks a lot. You're keeping this phone alive!
Thanks a million, Luk :good:
Great way to start 2020

Battery is similar as LOS16, haven't used it for long yet though!
Split screen is not working. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? #Edit: It's working, actually. It just works differently. Bug or feature?
Other than that, everything seems normal.

Many thanks for the quick reply. Few questions please...
1, In your earlier post you said, "Dirty flashing worked flawlessly". So you just flashed this 17.0 over LOS 16.0 through TWRP, and then before rebooting, you flashed OpenGapps beta for Android 10 (that you have linked), right?
2, Any issues with Magisk 20.1 or 20.2 (if you have it installed)?

Description:
LineageOS 17.1 for Mi A3 laurel_sprout
Initial Build
Features:
Fastboot ver. (Couldn't get Lineage to build a flashable zip) (TinyADB and Fastboot by K3V1991 provided)
Based on HarukeyUA's trees - Device, Kernel, Vendor
Stock Vendor
Safetynet pass
2020 December Security Patch
2020 November Vendor Patch
Mi Camera Patch by HarukeyUA
No GApps
SHRP patched boot image (optional) by oddlyspaced provided
+ All Lineage features
Working:
Camera (and flashlight)
WiFi
Bluetooth
Telephony (Calls and Data)
IMS (VoLTE and WiFi Calling)
Audio (Record and Playback)
Video Playback
Sensors
GPS
Encryption (FBE / FDE)
Broken:
Nothing (?)
Compatibility:
Compatible with all Xiaomi Mi A3 variants.
Builds are based off the Xiaomi's Android 10 firmware with proprietary blobs from A10 November Global Fastboot ROM.
Bugs:
Issues when flashing SHRP patched boot image - WiFI, Bluetooth not working, SELinux getting disabled, Random Lag etc.
To solve connection issues flash dtbo.img via fastboot again, for other bugs install recovery via traditional method to fix
Shows warning signed by test keys, ignore, I haven't gotten around to signing it with my own keys
Downloads:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mbRIwax7EILDWrYvQ_dNLO_PWgr-0-DO/view?usp=sharing
Important Notes:
No custom kernels are supported. Only stock kernel will be supported. No bug reports if that's not the case
perf+ kernel is due to SHRP boot image, otherwise it runs lineageos+ kernel, which is super fast and stable
* Required * firmware version must be based on Stock A10 based builds.
GApps can only be flashed on clean installs. If you want download from The Open GApps Project , I recommend Nano Package
Formatting data (all user data is wiped, including internal storage) is a must if if switching ROMs and device was encrypted.
Installation:
Reboot to fastboot mode, flash boot, dtbo, system, vbmeta and vendor images
Optional flash SHRP.img as boot if you want for SHRP (buggy)
Wipe Userdata
Enjoy

I use stock vendor instead of oss, plus this was the first rom ever build by me so i thought i would share it with the community,
It is synced with the latest stock vendor sources and security patch, uses the MIUI camera used by stock Mi ROM and I am working to fix the test keys issue and create recovery flashable zip. Stock Vendor I have experienced is more stable and fast than OSS.
I am also trying to port OrangeFox Recovery Latest to our device and Nusantra ROM, I may modify this build to include Fenix Kernel, OFRP and maybe GApps, for those who want pure Lineage I will also make a pure build.

I don't think lineage accepts new maintainers for A10 so I can't do Official , I haven't found found any A11 trees for our device yet, if you can link me to it I can try and build, then apply for maintainer

You're guide is the first that i found complete and clear. I'm already on stock because all guide are about install twrp are non clear... And the feedback of users are very different. I don't understand if the users are dummy or guide are bad. Otherwise you explained every step clearly. Tnx a lot
Somehow it only shows 16GB of memory available. Does anybody else have that problem ?
Other than that, i find it super nice to work with .

Yes, i did, in fastboot. But i found a "solution". Doing a simple factory reset after that actually cleared the problem. Maybe i did something wrong, i don't know, but with that, the problem was gone.

there is a lineage 18 build on the forum (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-stable-lineageos-18-0-mi-a3-laurel_sprout.4174895/), but the developer only links to the pixel experience kernel as a source, however he does have device, kernel, and vendor trees on his github. no idea if they work. https://github.com/PMS22?tab=repositories
edit: paranoid android have also released an a11 build, and they have trees on their github. probably wouldnt be too hard to port to lineage
