Found a cause and reason related to K30PRO 5G calldrop and no signal - Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro) Guides, News, &

The miui version I am using is the 12.0.8eu stable version.
And I installed all other versions (eu, eeu, global, Chinese and even developer version).
All miui12 Android 10 versions, including the current developer version, when using 5G data
Mobile phone information by pressing *#*#4636#*#* The item is set as unknown in the basic network type

The reason is that there is no 5G (NR) in the default network item.
As a result, data is cut off or a calldrop occurs when switching between 5G and 4G.
Now, the eu developer rom is built up to miui12 android 11 (version 20.8.13).
I installed the latest developer rom on my phone. And the result?
Not seen in all miui12 android 10 versions The basic network type NR has been new added.
And there is no longer a calldrop or signal interruption when using 5G (or 4G) data.
Of course, it is not checked as Unknown.
I would like the manufacturer or ROM developer to solve this problem quickly.
Can you create an update patch that can add basic network items by simply flashing on Android 10 version using TWRP?
I want to hear the thoughts and opinions of many users.

I had the same issue on miui 11. I never investigated as thoroughly as you but when I went to 12 the issue disappeared.

Sprint Note 2 L900 Flash 4.4.4 Final - can't update PRL?

I flashed the last 4.4.4 Final L900 Note 2 Rom as I wanted a stable rom on my wifes phone so she wouldn't have any issues. I have this same rom on another sprint phone and it allows prl/profile updates.
On the Note 2 this option isn't there. it has a mobile networks, then clicking on carrier settings causes a crash and I get an error unfortunately com.android.phone stopped and thats it.
It says it is running PRL# 2407. Is that the latest PRL for this device?
As of now the data, calls, messaging all work. I just want to have prl update available. I used voice dialer and searched for APN to get access, and it shows the attached, but none selected. Perhaps selecting one would enable the network settings so it don't crash? But I don't want to select one then lose any connectivity?

I know this thread won't get much viewing probably, but hoping to find a solution, otherwise I may try cyanogen, but prefer to stick with this rom. I want to make sure she can update PRL if needed. Thanks!!!
I got on my other phone (Sprint galaxy nexus) with omnirom 4.4.4 final and it had this app (see picture). The note 2 omni doesn't have it. I may flash this apk and see if it allows prl/profile updates. Think that's safe to try?
Note2 builds for all LTE-capable devices were a unified "t0lte" build.
I'm not sure how to handle PRL updates for such unified devices, you should look around the Sprint Note 2 forums as this probably is a Sprintism that affects multiple projects.
t0lte support in Omni is pretty much dropped due to lack of a qualified maintainer with the appropriate skills to maintain a device (knows/understands both C and Java sufficiently to fix problems without just hoping CM will fix it.) It's unlikely to return for 5.0/5.1 and 4.4 won't be receiving any further fixes.
Thanks, I guess as long as her phone works with the most current prl she should be fine. I read you can always flash back to a touchwiz rom, then update the prl, then reload omni. A pain, but manageable I guess.

Hello.
The Nexus 4 never officially supported LTE. Some people discovered that there was partial support in the chipset and figured out how to enable it. However it only works on a limited frequency range and you have to know if the cell sites near you have the right frequency band. I never bothered figuring it out for myself as HSDPA+ is fast enough for me and I only have a small amount of monthly data to use anyway.
You need to use older versions of the baseband/modem as the most recent ones disabled the possible LTE modes. Whether older versions of the baseband are compatible with community ROMs based on 6.0 and up I don't know. I haven't seen any discussion for a while now. Phones with good supported LTE have been common for a long time and I suspect anyone who really needed LTE has moved on.
Band 4 LTE works just fine, problem is, I think Tmo in the US is the only carrier that supports it (thankfully I am in the US and on T-mo in that case). Any ROM with a Hybrid Modem will work. I am on latest 7.1.1_r4 Nitrogen OS and is works fine: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/development/rom-nitrogen-os-n-substratum-10-09-2016-t3459341
Make sure LTE shows as enabled: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/updated-zip-one-lte-enabler-flash-one-t2358931
Hi
Good news!, in latest 7.1.1_r4 Nitrogen OS, this ROM has build.prop modified by default with LTE option enabled in mobile network menu. But this ROM has modem device only for 3G, so i flashed this file and 4G LTE it's back again on band 4!

No band info avaible on Nougat for GT-i9505

Hi,
I switch yesterday to Nougat from the last CM13. I try many Nougat build, and i get the same problem on all, i can't get the LTE band information.
In CM13 i used tool like "LTE Discovery" to grab it, but in any nougat build i was unable, app tell me some impossible info like Band 1 (2100mhz, this band is not in used for LTE in my country) or stay on unknow band.
I try many tool like LTE Discovery and the result was the same.
Someone know why ?
Did you upgrade your modem to the latest version before switching Android versions? If your version is too old, issues like this can result. Also, when you flashed the Android 7.x ROM, did you start from scratch, i.e. wiped system, data, and internal storage, before flashing? This is pretty much required when changing from one Android version to another.
Off course, i did all of this, i also tested the last 5 modem releases with the same result.
So what happens when you use a different ROM, such as the JDC Team's AOSP?
I have test LineageOS official, unnofficial and the optimized lineage by JDC, all based on lineage. I have download the JDC AOSP but not tested yet.

Insted of the 4G logo normaly this is the band number, sometime i'm on band 1, an impossible thing because this band isn't in use in my country ^^
Also i can say i have no problem to make a phone call or send sms.
I have try to roll back to CM13 and all was working normaly.
The real test is to see if you can get onto the Internet since some carriers route calls through the 3G network. However, have you checked your APN? This sounds like a configuration issue.
Yes i have check my APN and i'm sure it's ok.
I'm sure to be in 4G for data (see the screenshot) and for call i'm also sure to be in 2G or 3G because i don't have VoLTE for the moment (but it's another problem ^^)
You're getting high speed data, which means the LTE radio is working correctly. I believe your issue is related to the hardware drivers being used in the kernel. The problem isn't with Android itself or LTE Discovery, as I installed LTE Discovery just now on my Nexus 6 which runs Android 7.x. It's still being supported and thus includes up to date drivers, and my LTE radio reported the band number. You can try a different kernel and see if that resolves your issue, but you may simply have to live without the band data.
Thanks for your answers, maybe i can report the bug somewhere ?
LineageOS I believe has a Gerrit for bug reports.

[OREO] [G950F/G955F] [Duos Also] Select a specific band on your Exynos S8 or S8+

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ were recently updated to Android Oreo, and among its new features includes a full band selector (replacing the old service menu that was disabled with the security patch of November / 2017)
This mode lets you choose a specific network (as does the test menu in AOSP) and also choose a band specified within all supported.
Now, the only known way to enter this menu is through an activity manager (Nova Launcher or Quickshortcutmaker for giving examples) and look for the com.samsung.HiddenNetworkSetting app
When you find the activity, you must execute it and the next window will appear:
https:// imgur .com/a/61DJo
Where you can choose the network mode. If you open the side menu, you will see the other 2 options (Band Selection and 5G SA Mode) then select "Band Selection" and the following will appear:

}
Here you can choose the available bands, and then activate the slider that says "Selection". In this way, the band chosen as the default (Remember that if you select only one of the bands, you will not have CA)
I remember again that this method only works with builds based on Android 8.0 Oreo (RAP or RB7)
I remember again that this method only works with the builds based on Android 8.0 Oreo (RAP or RB7) and I do not know if it will work on other models besides the international variants of the Galaxy S8 or S8+ (SM-G950F / FD and SM-G955F / FD)
That is all! For now, I will be alert to possible doubts, but I remember that this app is only available through a hidden activity within the Oreo update, and I do not know if it will be maintained in successive updates. I will continue informing.
Thank you so much
Thank you very much for this useful info and for some unknown reason I am not getting Band 40 in band selection menu even when I am 100% sure this phone support TDD band 40
