https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07XPMGZYV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I use the one that came with my Essential PH1 those daysworks perfectly

I am using this one. It works fine....two-pack for less than $5. I bought four of them, enough for all of the cheap earbuds I have laying around.

Yeah, especially since the stupid USB adapter that comes with the Vogue doesn't even have a 3.5mm jack on it.

Does anyone know of a good vogue to 3.5 mm adapter? i'm really desperate for one, every one I buy seems to have crackling, and not work! very frustrating!
I just plug headphones into a 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm adapter and then into the supplied usb Y-splitter that came with my vogue. You can find them everywhere online and at places locally like radio shack.... http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2603246 or try something like these... http://www.google.com/products?oe=U...esult_group&ct=image&resnum=1&ved=0CBgQzAMwAA
When I first bought my vogue I bought a bunch of cheap accessories for it including an htc ExtUSB to 3.5 mm adapter. I would say that the quality you will get out of it is limited to the DACs (digital to analog converters) built in the phone. I have found it to be acceptable for a phone. The output power of the thing even manages to handle a pair of larger headphones I have at a respectable volume.
All that to say: If you are expecting audiophile grade audio, don't waste too much money on headphones if you aren't going to use them on anything else. It doesn't sound bad though.
A while ago I bought a decent pair of bluetooth in-ear headphones and I am very pleased with those.
Since I bought that I cut apart one of my other htc accessories to make a nice cable that allows me to listen to music in my car from my phone while charging out of one cable.

I guess I can do that, was just hoping for a less bulky solution but perhaps it won't be so crackly using the included stuff
this will work fine, is cheap, and small.

strange, I tried this and the sound coming through is only mono. I used a stereo 2.5 to 3.5 so I don't know what else could be wrong
Power to the Headphones might be an issue if you are getting crackling.
You could try getting one of those mini-amps for high-end head phones
when the device isnt out putting enough power but of course that is just
more cost/pocket space :<

Nokia Headset Compatible or not?

Hello everyone
So I'm asking if The Nokia Stereo Headset WH-205 is compatible with the Motorola defy...
Because some headset doesn't sound good at all when I plug in my Defy (For instance, the SGS headset))...
Here is a pic of the Headset:
Most probably you will hear sound coming from it. You might even be able to use the microphone. But the button(s) won't work.
If you need that headset just for listening to music I would recommend you some real headphones (IEMs actually), made by someone else.
If you need the mic/button, you have some soldering skills and you are ready to modify your original headset I might have and idea for you.
Have a nice day!

Why wont button work? What you need to do to make a working button? (lost my original one's)
From what I've found (by opening both a Nokia and the original Defy headset) they have a different circuit inside. The Nokia one seems to be working by simple short while the Defy has some SMD capacitors inside.
Sadly I don't have experience with (micro) electronics so don't take my word for granted.
I've tried to find info to convert a Nokia headset to work with my Defy but with no luck.
Have a nice day!
thanks for your response!
I had the chance to try the headset!
And unfortunately the sound don't come out well
The center seems to be to the L earbud...
Anyways I'm searching for a in-ear earphone to use with my Defy without having compatibility issues...
Can Anyone help me??
Do you need a simple in-ear headphone or one with microphone and button(s)?
PS: you can push THANKS if I was of any help

Thanked you
Well most preferably with the controls.
I'm interested with the Klipsch Headsets but unfortunately it says that the remote controls and mic are only compatible with Apple products??
COuld you suggest me some (compatible with Defy)?
What about the Etymotic mc5??
Can you tell me if it will work fine??
It looks like a pretty good earphones (don't care with controls/mic or not)
What I'm using now is HeadDirect RE0 pimped witn Comply TX-400 and they sound fantastic. They could have had a little bit more bass, but with a little bit of EQ tweaking it's pretty much fine.
What I was thinking about is taking the original headset apart and putting a female jack socket in place of the earphones so that I could plug in the RE0. It's not something very complicated to do but it could ruin your original headphones. I've seen something similar with SonyErricson's Walkman IEMs.
If you need any more help please tell me.

Sadly i can conform that neither nokia nor samsung headsets work properly with defy. Did check that in couple of local shops. Also ordered some cheap iphone compatible headsets, in hope that button will work as it should.

I have them from my old Nokia 5530 and they work.
They are the same
Do the button and the microphone work?
what I know is that the original defy headset works on ipod.. so does this mean that any headset "only" compatible with ipod will work on defy?
I'm planning to buy an Etymotic Mc5 but it seems that no one has tested it on the defy yet..
By the way I created a new thread about the etymotic earphones.

I've done some tests with my Defy and my girlfriends Wildfire and iPod 3 (I didn't have Wildfire's headphones though). I didn't test the microphone.
My findings are:
iPod headphones work on Defy but no buttons. (same results with iPod 4 headphones)
iPod headphones and middle button work on Wildfire but no volume buttons.
Defy headphones and button work on iPod.
Now I realized that I didn't test Defy headset on Wildfire.
Have a nice day!

HI everyone
Can anyone tell me what headset with mic and control buttons working well with Defy? I prefer senheisher and Creative ones but I am not sure it work or not.
I like to control NEXT PREV function on the headset!!!
Thank you
Or this?
I tried a Nokia headset from a 6303 on the Defy. Sound came out poor... actually very bad.
What i am using now is an HTC (from an HD1/2 i think) headset. It works. headphones are far better than defy standard. I can answer or end a call. The HTC headset has only one button.
Will try tomorrow with my girlfriend's iPhone 3GS headset. I suppose something will not work. Sound will.
An HTC headset like mine costs arround 30$ i think. They aren't the newest model but they are good. Stylish as well .
For controlling music i don't know....

Which Headphones/Earphones are you using??

Hey guys i want to know which headphones/earphones are u using for the moto g4/plus other than the one given by Motorola in the box. I want to buy a new earphones as my cowon Em1 are dead and asking for a suggestion which earphones should i buy as i have tried skullcandy and jbl earphones (took from my friend) which didn't work(no sound). so i want to make sure that the earphones which i want to buy are actually compatible with our phone.i am looking forward to buy boat bassheads 225, cx 180 and mi in-ear basic and any other you suggest below 1k. Waiting for the replies
All earphones/headphones which use the standard 3.5 mm audio jack should be working. However only buy the ones from trusted brands like SkullCandy, JBL and Sennheiser. Moreover do checkout the ratings before buying. If you're buying it online I'd recommend Amazon and Flipkart (but yea, make sure the seller has a rating of at least 3.5 stars) According to me, the Sennheiser CX180 Street II are good enough. (my friend bought them)
Moto G4 Plus Headphones Issue
Many G4 Plus owners have had an issue with headphones/earphones not working or playing only on 1 side. Check this Lenovo forum thread starting on page 3. I had the problem (1 side only) and after making sure the jack was fully inserted, I put the phone in safe mode (with the jack kept in). Worked fine in safe mode. Rebooted and has worked perfectly since, about 9 months ago. Note: As a new XDA member I'm not allowed to post outside links so Google the issue and find the Lenovo forum thread. Hope this helps.

I think im not having the issue of earphone sound only coming from 1 side. but some of the branded companies headphones (like skullcandy, JBL) which are genuine are not working at all as there is no sound coming from them and on other devices it just working perfectly with great sound. I don't know if its device fault or if its headphones fault.

USB-C Audio Out

so im looking to replace my current phone. i was considering the hauwei mate 9 but i cant bring myself to give that damned company any more of my money. they make great hardware by their skin (EMUI) is horrendous! anyway, it seems that im going to go for the G6 since the price keeps dropping. my only gripe is the headphone jack placement.
i honestly dont care if my next phone has it or not but if it does it needs to be on the bottom. but seeing as my top pick is the G6 im hoping to have options. so, has anyone tried using a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter? if so, which one?? any and all help is appreciated!

But I also bought an extra charger and adapter on eBay.
Completely stock. The one from a Moto Z works also. My wife has a Moto Z.
I have tried a number of USB-C to 3.5mm adaptors on my unrooted LG-H870DS with no luck. The last two I ordered I made sure they were USB-C 3.1 and still nothing. The phone never detects anything when I plug it in.
If anyone can find one that does work without root, please let me know!

I'm using the one that came with an Essential PH-1.
I'm also using a set of earbuds with USB-C.
If you are paying less than about $10, it's not going to work.
You need a USB-C digital audio interface.
There is an analog spec and those cheap cables implement analog.
The digital spec adapters have a USB DAC and AMP in the cable and will cause the phone to supply power.
This should work:
https://www.theverge.com/circuitbre...-ultra&acc=usb-c-digital-to-3-5mm-htc-u-ultra
Search for "usb-c dac headphone adapter"

The problem with trying to use the USB-C without a digital cable and just the jack wire to the two extra pins, is that not everyone supports analog audio over USB-C.
The only way to be sure a USB-C audio adapter will work is to use a digital adapter with a DAC and headphone amp in the dongle.
You will immediately know if it works because it will require power from the USB-C port.
A $2 adapter probably won't work as it will be analog only.

There were a few out there already:
Zorloo Z:ero and Aero.
The Z:ero needs a micro to USB-C adapter of the correct type. This one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B018G6IK7E/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
so it seems that the pixel adapter price has been slashed in half! now lets wait and hope for a black version!

Hi!
Which exact moderl of usb-c earbuds with integrateg DAC are yuo using? I have read some people having issues with some DACs on the g6 precisely due to usb-c error, such as battery draining
What about sound quality between that amp&dac dongles and original headphone jack (not quad dac) ? Should google dongle have better audio performance than G6 headphone jack?

Should have bought Oneplus 6 instead?

Hey guys I think I made a mistake getting TMobile OP6T instead of unlocked 6. I never thought I would miss that headset jack as much as I do. I lost dongley thing already. But this phone is by far the fastest phone I ever had. Coming from S8+ and LG G7 this phone is amazingly fast.
So my question is: Is the OnePlus 6 as fast as 6T but with a 3.5mm jack?

They're the same device except the 6T drops the headphone jack and the regular fp sensor and bigger notch that's it. Same SD845, Same UFS 2.1 2-Lane, Same LPDDR4X RAM
OOS is the same "Performance Optimizations"

Isn't it supposed to get more efficient the more you use it?
Well I've had my 6T for 3 months and at first it's not a big deal touching it 2-3 times but now its so annoying. Face unlock works fine but for my apps that require FP is a real pain.
I sold my 6 when I got a free 6T,6 is better if not only for the headphone jack but also the fingerprint scanner, though Still loving the 6T for it's bigger battery, more storage than my 64gb 6.
Fingerprint scanner works better over time, not a big deal because face unlock works so well
Not gonna lie though,am keeping an eye on other phones like the Mi 9,maybe 7,Poco f2

Also got my eye on the Mi 9 waiting for the official pricing here in the UK, Poco 2 could be interesting but if it has ton of bleed like the first did I can't buy it..
Just buy a pair of Bluetooth earbuds/usb c headphones and use face unlock. Problem sorted!
Not sure why 6T has more bands than 6 even if both have the same hardware.

Percy don't even get me started on Bluetooth headphones I ALWAYS forget to charge them esp when I really need them. I have at least 5 pairs of them laying around here all dead! And since I don't have Bluetooth in my car I use my wired headphones to talk while I'm driving. Not sure if that's still legal.
Sorry to hear you lost your dongle, but it's 2019. Buy a damn BT headset already...
What I do is I keep the dongle attached to aux chord I am using. I even bought aux to USB c chord. Dongles are relatively cheap. I am not defending the loss of the aux port this is just how I adapt. Thankfully the battery life is excellent so charging and listening to music is not an issued to me
