Outdoor visibility (max brightness) - HTC U20 5G Real Life Review

Rate this thread to express how well you can see the HTC U20 5G's display outdoors. In case you've been playing Minecraft for 18 months straight, you might not known how to get outside anymore. Well, find the door and walk through it. A higher rating indicates that it has very high maximum brightness and thus fantastic outdoor visibility in direct sunlight.

At first I thought "oh-oh" when increasing the brightness because it only got brighter slowly, but at the end of the setting option there was a lot more. Going through the apps and menus in light mode was absolutely no problem, of course it was more reflective in dark mode, but even there it is possible to recognize and operate everything without any problems even in direct sunlight.

you can see everything very well and the dactive brightness works well

The Brightness at the U20 is not as good as compared to my U11. The U11 had the same low brightness issue at the beginning. It changed after HTCs update to Pie which increased the battery life too.

Light use endurance

Once in a while, when your significant other yells at you, you might use your phone a bit less. Rate this thread to express how the Sony Xperia XZ1's battery performs under light use. A higher rating indicates that the device goes a long time when you're using the phone sparingly: no gaming or video/audio streaming, light web browsing, some calling and texts, etc.

I've been aggresive in turning off most of the apps on my from from running in background where possible. I also installed Startup Manager and stopped many apps from starting at boot time. What's left are the apps that you want to run in background. I can be a light user, 1 hour screen time per day.
I've managed 3 days without charge

Low light

At the club, at the bar, or just in your mom's basement, nighttime is when you come out to play. Rate this thread to express how the Sony Xperia XZ2's camera performs when no or low light is present. A higher rating indicates that the camera sensor "sees" lots of light in dim conditions, and that the resulting photos have minimal noise. A higher rating also indicates that when the flash fires, the resulting photo is evenly-lit without any bright spots.

I think that the low-light image quality has improved significantly after the Pie update. I just recently updated to the latest pie from oreo and i can feel the changes.
You can see that there is a lot of information on the first picture that i have been able to produce the second one with snapseed.
It's almost there with the big dogs, only thing missing is OIS and camera2 API.
Xz2 too has some sort of astrophotography.
Set Shutter speed to 1s and the ISO to 1600 in a visual pollution environment or between 3200 and 6400 in a dark area.
Just make sure to stabilize it, the lake of OIS doesn't help.
Good for rear camera but bad for front camera just.like Xperia C3 lol

Charging speed

To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Sony Xperia XZ2 can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Charging is 'kinda' fast... it's not much slower than the competition up to 60%, but from 70-100% it does take quite some time. This might be due to qnovo Battery protection/longetivity techniques.

Charging speed to 100% is considered slow by today's standard, especially from 85% to 100%. Coming from OnePlus DASH charging, the XZ2 takes forever! The Qnovo charging method slows down the charging speed as it moves towards 100%. This is definitely not a shave/shower/**** phone. You'll need it to be charged overnight (hence Qnovo and battery care) if you want to leave your home with 100% battery charge.
Fastest device that ever i use

Screen on time

It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Samsung Galaxy fold before depleting the battery.

Only had it a week, getting decent battery life but Android System usage seems to be higher than my Galaxy Tab S4 and my Galaxy Note 9. It's either first or second. Seems odd.
Not really got good screen on time as been busy packing and moving house
Had mine for a couple of days only and very impressed with the battery live vs my Galaxy S20 Exynos.
Around 7:30 Hours SOT is very impressive considering the screen size.

Clarity/resolution

The Vivo V20 Pro has a crazy crisp display. Just kidding, this is automated text so who knows if this screen is any good. So, you be the judge! A higher rating indicates that it's extremely sharp and clear, and that you cannot see pixels with your naked eye.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
oops, I just realized this is the resolution section, not the speakerphone. Sorry, will repost on the right place. Well, theresolutio is clear. I think we've come to the point where every phone above 300$ has an acceptable 1080p screen
Such emptiness...
I wrote an emtire essay here but accidently deleted it.... :'(
The speaker is terrible. Insane peak at 2khz and no bass, which is not surprising with speakerphones. Well anyway, here's the EQ preset that I use with Poweramp Equalizer to make it sound liveable (I've attached the preset file, open it with/in Poweramp EQ):

Unfortunately, the eq only works with media player apps. That means, sh*t audio in games without earphones..
