Charging speed - Sony Xperia XZ2 Real Life Review

To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Sony Xperia XZ2 can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.

Charging is 'kinda' fast... it's not much slower than the competition up to 60%, but from 70-100% it does take quite some time. This might be due to qnovo Battery protection/longetivity techniques.

Charging speed to 100% is considered slow by today's standard, especially from 85% to 100%. Coming from OnePlus DASH charging, the XZ2 takes forever! The Qnovo charging method slows down the charging speed as it moves towards 100%. This is definitely not a shave/shower/**** phone. You'll need it to be charged overnight (hence Qnovo and battery care) if you want to leave your home with 100% battery charge.

My bro is uses this cell so can't tell much abt usage .
Managed to get slightly over 7 hours before the phone shut off.
GPS: Power saving mode
Screen: Brightness set to indoor conditions (manual)
ROM: Default
Battery Saving Mode: Disabled
WiFi and Sync: Always enabled
Screen Time Out: 2 minutes after inactivity
Usage: Mainly Facebook, Chrome, WhatsApp, few YouTube vids and Google Docs. Nothing intensive.
Phone charged from 0-100% in under 2 hours without the OS running. I used Anker Power IQ 40W 5-port desktop charger and Moto's USB cable. Back of the phone remained cool throughout

910F Weird issue

Goodday folks, So i have a 910F running stock android 5.0.2 i recently noticed that sometimes my battery charges really slow from 90% till 100% to measure charging current i download an app called battery monitor by 3c. The current seems to be normal however i noticed another weird issue that my phone continues to draw some power from charger even when the battery indicator is full with green led (the draw seems to be going down around 100ma when i took it off) . Im using stock fast charger and cable can anyone else confirm if this is normal or if i have a defective unit? Attaching a picture for reference. Thanks

it will draw power to keep the battery at 100%
and it's normal for the charging rate to go down a bit when almost full.
a battery produces more heat while charging when it's almost full, so they need to slow down the charging to reduce the heat production.

Light use endurance

Once in a while, when your significant other yells at you, you might use your phone a bit less. Rate this thread to express how the Sony Xperia XZ1's battery performs under light use. A higher rating indicates that the device goes a long time when you're using the phone sparingly: no gaming or video/audio streaming, light web browsing, some calling and texts, etc.

I've been aggresive in turning off most of the apps on my from from running in background where possible. I also installed Startup Manager and stopped many apps from starting at boot time. What's left are the apps that you want to run in background. I can be a light user, 1 hour screen time per day.
I've managed 3 days without charge

Screen on time

It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Samsung Galaxy fold before depleting the battery.

Only had it a week, getting decent battery life but Android System usage seems to be higher than my Galaxy Tab S4 and my Galaxy Note 9. It's either first or second. Seems odd.
Not really got good screen on time as been busy packing and moving house
Had mine for a couple of days only and very impressed with the battery live vs my Galaxy S20 Exynos.
Around 7:30 Hours SOT is very impressive considering the screen size.

Slow charging on Tab A SM-T580

I received a faulty Tab A (soft brick) which I was able to fix, however it seems to charge very slow. I used 3 different chargers for a Samsung and Xiaomi mobiles and Asus tablet, all around 2-4a, but they all charged at the same rate. It took 5hrs to reach 94%. I left it on flight mode for the last 24hrs and it's only dropped 1% (which is amazing) so I'm sure it's not the battery at fault. If multiple chargers/cables are charging at the same rate and the battery loss is solid I'm guessing it could be the USB port. If not, what else could it be? I don't know the history of this tablet as they just dumped it on me.
Very shallow curve, it should be a lot steeper:

Hello, I own a T585 and I can tell you that this is very picky with loading ports.
I have a multi loader (Easyacc) and the Tab is only with 2.1 Ampere fast charging.
Not with 1.0 not with 2.4 not with more.
Reccomend you to use a similar charger or a original.
I didn't quite understand what you mean. So I have to use a 2.1a charger or original Tab A charger only? I found them in 5v and 12v, both for Tab A, which one is correct?
