oxygen os 10.5.9.IN11BA - OnePlus 8 Pro Questions & Answers

Hey someone has the stock boot.img for oxygen os 10.5.9.IN11BA ?

Also looking. Let me know if you find it or a download link for the full zip so I can extract it.
Flashed a kernel for .8, but there seem to be some major changes. I cant even boot TWRP, just enters crashdump so I cant access the update file I have on my phone.
Edit: Downloading the zip now. Will update the post with boot.img soon.

That's strange, the files are public and they work for me on another device with other accounts.
I could upload them somewhere else in a little while, I'll be back at the office in a few minutes.

You are da best! I was updating with hurry and forgot to patch with Magisk after OTA and rebooted my phone straight so i lost my root. Other methods didnt work because of new security patches so needed patched 10.5.9.

Going back to stock with stock recovery

How to go to stock OxygenOs from rooted along with stock recovery and relock bootloader ?
Considering the fact that you have already Flashed TWRP and have Bootloader Unlock, follow these steps :
Flash Official Oxygen OS (2.1.0 - Latest ) using TWRP.
After Successful flash, tap something similar to "Don't Disable Recovery Flash"
Reboot in fastboot mode.
Using Fastboot, type in this : " fastboot oem lock"
Reboot
???
Profit!
I verified this works.
Thank you

Is the guide for A2003 ?
Same regarding stock recovery. The TWRP feature that asks to "Disable..." is only available on non-official TWRP. Most of us are using official TWRP that does not ask you about it.

I have no idea. If we have a stock_recovery.img file then we could do the same adb to flash it to our device. So far I haven't seen any post with that file hence the repeated questions in the forum.

Hi,
I want to sell my opo2 and that is the reason that I want to go back to stock rom (Oxygen OS 3.6.1,stock recovery, oem lock,etc.). Where can I download the stock recovery for the Oxygen OS 3.6.1 or do I have to install an older version of the rom? At this time I have installed the Oxygen OS 3.6.1 with the newest twrp.
Thanks for your help.
Best regards.

[ZIP][C6903] 14.6.A.1.216 Customized DE 1277-0154, Pre-Rooted, XZDR-locked BL

Hi members.
As the title says i created a flashable zip.
I did not test the zip yet. No errors occurred during creation.
I used
XZDualRecovery locked bootloaders v 2.8.22
SuperSU Beta v 2.52
Stock C6903 Customized DE 1277-0154 14.6.A.1.216 R2D
Everybody who is downloading the zip should know what he has to do!
It would be helpfull if anybody who has downloaded and flashed the zip could confirm that it is working or not.
Download --> https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw5LFMK1hMKmNm0ycWNmdnJ0S0k/view?usp=sharing
Just writing from my freshly installed zip. Dirty flashed with only wiping cache and dalvik using twrp recovery.
Android version is still 5.1.1 as supposed.
Thanks Bro Downloading
Will try it too!

I don't know what's the problem. I used the zip I created from my computer.
I didn't download the zip from Google Drive. So I hope the upload I did to Google Drive isn't corrupt.
Normally this zip should work. I hadn't any problems.
Then I think there's something wrong with the downloaded zip. Indeed everything is OK for me during the flash with TWRP (no visible error) but when it reboots, I'm still on. 368...
For me it's working. But I tried first the Indian version, I made a clean installation from that, so I don't know if coming from previous versions it would work...

I was on stock (.368)
I just downloaded and flashed your zip
I tried two methods:
Number 1:
-Wiped everything and installed your zip, went into bootloop
Number 2:
- reflashed stock (.368) and then flashed your zip, only this time i left out the system etc. And only wiped the cache and dalvik
---------- Post added at 05:54 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:53 AM ----------
The guy who gave us the indian ftf didn't bother mentioning that it was for c6902, no radios working on that one but flashing was perfect and i did achieve the (.216) firmware
That's strange. I am sorry for the circumstances users are getting using this zip.
I had no problems going from 368 to 216. But I used the zip I created from my computer and not the one from Google drive.
I am on c6906. Can I go into recovery, do a full wipe and then just flash this?
No don't do that. This zip doesn't flash the new build anyway. Don't you want to upload it again?

Download really slow for me, takes three hours, I don't have the time right now. :/
Can we update via twrp-3.0.2-2_blu_spark.v41-onyx_by-engstk.img ?
Flashing made TWRP be overwritten.
After putting it back, I could flash Xposed & SuperSU but it doesn't boot.
I'm on normal 3.1.4 now and it runs great...
I'll trying to flash SuperSU only to verify.
Edit : Flashing SuperSU V78 modded for OOS 3 works.
Xposed seems to be guilty...

no pc/fastboot needed, I did clean install via v41, root is gone but v41 still persisted. how?
- booted to v41 , fully wiped system,data,dalvik,cache
- flashed 3.1.4 finished then directly 'reboot to recovery' within v41 menu (just ignored the "No OS installed") got back to twrp v41,
- wiped cache only and rebooted to system (it was took 8 mins until system completely booted into OS).
- booted back to recovery to check and voila! v41 still persisted, somehow! (even system gt wiped)
- all works just fine so far
any info for superSU 2.78 SR3 would work on 3.1.4? I need to be rooted a.s.a.p. Thanks!

The super SU is breaking your wifi, that happen to me with the nougat beta, ysou have to use magisk v9, that's what the nougat roms on here are using.

[GUIDE]How to Root Stock Nougat.

1.-You need to unlock your bootloader first. You also need to be sure you have your system image available in case something goes wrong.
2.-Then flash the modified TWRP found here. Thanks to [MENTION @tomparr[/MENTION]
3. Boot in to recovery.
4.Flash F2fs fix by @tomparr from here
5.- Flash SuperSU-v2.79. Link . thanks [MENTION @iron maiden[/MENTION] for the link.
6.Rooted ENjoy.
thanks to @tomparr for kernel with F2Fs fixes.
EDIT: device boot up during 2nd time. 1st time during half bootanimation screen flashes and device reboot which is common.

Remark for people willing to test things: Guess there is a good chance to root Nougat if you format data as ext4 instead of f2fs. Then the broken loopback device of f2fs will not be the problem anymore.
Disclaimer: I'm not responsible for things not working if you change anything. Even if it is a suggestion by me. I have no idea if you can just switch filesystems on Android without major drawbacks or problems, although I guess it should be possible. Many devices use ext4 for data.

Remark for people willing to test things: Guess there is a good chance to root Nougat if you format data as ext4 instead of f2fs. Then the broken loopback device of f2fs will not be the problem anymore.

Should be possible in twrp. Wipe, advanced Wipe, choose data, repair or change file system, change file system. Hope there is an entry ext4, can't boot to twrp currently. Then swipe to change.

It's there ext4 but somehow I'd guess you'll probably end up in a bootloop or SuperSU won't flash. Give a try but do a nandroid

I have one issue. My phone was encrypted, so when I change the data partition to ext4 the boot ask me the pass, but always says incorrect password. When I change to f2fs and do a wipe didnt ask the password.
