Hello dude,
sorry if i wrote this but you posted in a wrong place.
You should have posted in questions&answers main thread,
as you can see this is guides, news and discussion thread.
Ask some moderator to move it to the correct thread ..
You could, perhaps, add some information on how the device ended up in this condition ..
What firmware was the last working?
Do you have a twrp recovery? if yes which version?

I tried to install twrp but I messed around. i tried several firmware but they didn't boot. I can't get into recovery, it just goes into fastboot

Ok Domenico,
fastboot commands should be sufficient to restore the device,
but you should say which was the last stock / custom working firmware,
(ex. VNS-L31C432B380 or ex. LineageOS 14.1) or at least the android version.... 6 / 7.
Cheers

Domenico, this is not possible.
B130 is a basic version of android 6.
Android 7 starts from B3xx and above...
Is your device single or dual sim ?
I can provide you a firmware, but it's a bit dangerous
to use without right knowledge of actual firmware version.
Make a little effort and try to remember ..

As you told me you probably had the B389 firmware,
so i will provide you that one...
From your PC download those three files..
1 - update.zip
2 - update_data_full_public.zip
3 - update_full_VNS-L11_hw_eu.zip
Rename file 2 from update_data_full_public TO update_data_public.
Rename file 3 from update_full_VNS-L11_hw_eu TO update_all_hw.
Let file 1 the same name.
Download THIS SCRIPT (HuRUpdater0.4zip file).
Create a folder and rename it VNSL31C432B389.
Copy all 4 file you downloaded into the folder you created (VNSL31C432B389)
If you want keep TWRP (now recommended),
copy the .img file of the recovery into that folder, otherwise proceed with instruction...
Copy your VNSL31C432B389 folder into the SD card of the phone..
Reboot into the twrp, hit install, find out your folder (VNSL31C432B389),
choose only HuRUpdater0.4.zip file and let it flash.
You may have to follow some instructions on screen if needed, flashing could take many minutes, keep calm...
When rebooting, device could go in a bootloop !!!
If after 20 minutes it hadn't booted, press vol+ and power till it reboot into recovery.
Make a factory reset and everything should be good. Good luck...
I would recommend to read at least a couple of times before do... take your time...

P 8 lite bootloop on stock firmware

Hello all,
I have Huawei P8 lite bought from Romania. I install the android 6 and I wanted to go back to 5, so I go trough the steps on the official huawei website :
1) download an install rollback package - all went fine, the B500 firmware was shown
2)download an install B132 - on this step the problem appear; after the installation the phone is in a continuous bootloop, it can;t even shut down for good. I hear the start up sound, then if I press the volume keys it's beeping, so somehow is booting but without showing nothing(strange random colors ). The PC is recognizing the phone, but ADB won't .
The phone isn't going in to the recovery mode or update mode.
I search the forum and found methods to unbrick the phone, but only using fastboot. Since my phone isn't rooted , I can't use this method. What can I do?

You don't need to be rooted to use fastboot. However you need to unlock the bootloader in order to use it and don't tell me that your bootloader is locked otherwise it's a bad news.

There is a program called Huawei product ID generator. You need Imei,Serial no.(both are on the box) and Product ID (via Huawei product ID generator). Through this you can obtain unlocking code
In Fastboot and rescue mode type this in minimal adb and fastboot
fastboot oem unlock XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Where XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is the unlocking code.

Thanks! Will try definitely.
Last question - does the bootloader unlock wipe the user data on the phone? I want somehow to extract it before flashing any ROM over. So my idea was to unlock it, flash some better recovery and make a backup of data partition.
I don't have that option
Maybe it appear when the devices is connected.

No fuss debrick/restore your Mate 8!

Whatever you did to brick your device!
Whatever crazy thing you did to make this beauty a brick!
Next time, please don't waste time and money (dc-un...)
:crying:
First relax, take a deep breath in and smile. This method restored few phones and can be tried on every Huawei phone.
Second, hold volume-down+power and connect USB via PC. Means enter "bootloader"
Then pick up any old stock firmware of your region from this thread
Third unzip and rename folder to suit your model.
Fourth FASTBOOT.EXE FLASH ZIP UPDATE.APP and take a cup of tea or beer. Let all the error messages pass of.
Fifth, remove your ext_sd card and copy this extracted folder into root directory.
Sixth FASTBOOT.EXE REBOOT
It won't boot but will surely go to recovery, factory reset. Reboot.
Seventh, here is the main thing, hold volume-up+power till recovery shows updating
Eight, allow to update and get into the normal mode.
You will get your HUAWEI MATE 8 working in mint condition.
If this works, press the thanks button and rate this thread 5 stars.
All the best.

Another simplistic method if you are able to boot to your working rom.
2846579
Manufacturers port
Check your region
Then fastboot flash recovery recovery.img of existing 4.1 or 5.0 Rom.
Reboot.
Sdcard dload
2846579
Sdcard upgrade
And you are back to stock.
Do whatever you want to do, mate, but dont flash nougat rom this month!
Thanks. Will come in handy.
Think for yourself. Question authority.
This method also locks your bootloader without a trace of relock bootloader

Buddy, I had a tough time to roll back from nougat to my own firmware because of local power cuts affecting the process and I bricked.
I logged in DC account and even downloaded Phoenix software but thought let's try.

Hi there! Thx for the instructions but unfortunately it's not working as intended.
After the Step FASTBOOT FLASH ZIP UPDATE.APP i get this output: see attachment.
Then the device reboots normally after FASTBOOT REBOOT
Does the bootloader need to be unlocked?
I really like to go back to Version B180 for my mate. As hassle free as possible.
Thx in advance
Daniel

Thx for the quick reply.
I did all that, but the only options i get are:
- normal recovery with reboot, factory reset and wipe cache
- or eRecovery when still connected to USB with the option to connect to wifi and download the latest package, which fails.
Other than that it's just a normal factory reset and the B320 Firmware boots just fine and welcomes me with the first start wizard.
My device is not really bricked. I just want to downgrade, maybe that doesn't work this way.
Also after the FASTBOOT FLASH ZIP UPDATE.APP there is:
...
writing zip..
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)<--- this makes me wondering somethings not right, is it? This should at least work?
finished. total time: 12.077s
Hope you can help there

Will try this after my Honor 8 gets charged.
It was bricked when updating from B162 (MM) to B320 (Nougat). Booting logo is the only one I could get, unless entering fastboot mode with holding vol- plus power keys when connected to a running computer. Three buttons (the above two plus vol+)results in bootloop as well.
Battery gets depleted unless charging when in fastboot & rescue mode. I'm going to charge it now (again).
BTW DC-Un... showed it was on B162.

[TUTORIAL] Unbricking VNS-L21/VNS-L31

Hello everyone! I know there are a lot of threads and comments about unbricking your device but in order to get you on track quicker then anything else and point you to the right direction i`m writing this tutorial which i find is quite successfull. This tutorial was made basically on my personal experience and with the help of some advices and suggestions.
First of all there are some questions that you must ask and answer yourself in order to do everything correct:
1. Do i have unlocked bootloader and frp? If yes, continue reading. If no, read Important note 2!
1.1. Do i have access to stock/custom recovery? If yes then continue to read.
1.2 Do i have problems mounting partitions with Revolution Recovery? If yes, read Important note 1!
3. Do i have installed SDK Platform Tools (ABD and FASTBOOT)? If no then download from here (Always use the latest version!!!)
4. Do i have installed HiSuite? If no then download it from here.
Okey mate if all your answers are Yes then follow Guide 1!
5. If you think your device don`t have access to these then read and follow Guide 2!
For those of you with locked FRP you can check this website and see if it helps!
How to get into fastboot?
Variant 1
Hold down (VOL-) + POWER when connected to PC!
Variant 2
1.Start HiSuite.
Step 2 (Click for image preview)
Step 3 (Click for image preview)
Turn off your phone and then by holding down (VOL-) + POWER connect usb to the pc!
! Important note 1 !
If you can`t mount partitions then the thing you must do is go to Revolution Recovery then do as i say:
Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Select partitions one at a time! -> Repair or change file system -> Change file system -> F2FS -> Then go back -> Select EXT4 -> And voila u`re done!
! Important note 2 !
Okay easy way to find out is if you see warning screen about unlocked bootloader then it is unlocked so it is frp. If you go to fastboot and you see Bootloader: unlocked/frp: unlocked but you don`t see the warning screen then my friend u`re not unlocked! Quickly open up the console window connect to fastboot and type:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock <your unlock code here>
Easy, a?
GUIDE 1
First of all download these files in order to continue. (Place them somewhere easy to find! )
Recovery - Revolution Recovery NOUGAT
(I can guarantee you that this version works that`s why i used her in this tutorial! METICULUS was not working for me it doesn`t even started at first place.)
Stock OEM info - Download
Stock ROM - L21C432B130
1. Open up fastboot then flash Revolution Recovery from the zip.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery_twrp.img
2. Start up Revolution Recovery by connecting your device to the PC and holding down (VOL +) + (VOL -) + POWER
3. Flash Stock OEM info from the zip via Revolution Recovery. Make sure when installing it the result was Successfull!!!
4. Remove usb cable from PC and Shutdown the device via Recovery and don`t plug the cable or start the phone!
4. Get your SD Card ready and plugged to the PC then Create a New Folder named "dload" in the root directory of the SD Card and paste update.app file in there!
How it should look in the Micro SD Card: dload -> update.app
5.Place the SD Card in the phone
6. Start the phone!
7. Okay logo is there showing up wait about 1 - 2 minutes and phone will be automatically starting to update from SD Card. When it is done it will restart the phone. Make sure at the moment when it does and screen goes black, hold down VOL UP!
8. Format data and cache!!! If you skip this part there will be a bootloop!
9. Voila. You got your device unbricked and aliveeeeeeee :highfive::highfive::highfive:
That was the easy part! If u`re unlucky enough for Guide 2 well my friend get some coffee and play some calming music list!
GUIDE 2 (When no one can help you but you :silly
First of all you should know that every case is different from one another but everything comes to one mission. Access to fastboot or access to custom recovery in order to unbrick. I will give you steps which I did when I bricked my device and I had no fastboot access, no access to stock or custom recovery, no erecovery access and no wi-fi upgrade.
So what I experienced?
You see logo but only that. Warning screen saying bootloader is unlocked. When you see warning screen u`ve got a choice what to do – Press to enter recovery, press to continue booting etc. None of that. When I was connecting the usb cable to the PC no detection at all. No working key combinations.
1. DRAIN BATTERY! REALLY. IT`S THAT SIMPLE. Leave the device on and put it in a shelf or something like that so you can`t see it and can`t touch it. 2-3-4-5 days. (I left mine for 2 weeks! :laugh The battery must be that empty that when you try to power it up only power icon shows up or nothing shows up at all.
2. When u`ve done with Step 1 get a laptop or a PC with freshly installed Windows or Linux.
3. Install SDK Platform Tools (ABD and FASTBOOT) the newest version from their website!
4. Install HiSuite from their respective website!
5. So now when you`re all done with installing the requisites get your phone in your hands plug the usb cable in the phone and then hold down (VOL -) + POWER when plugging it to the PC or laptop.
6. Believe me. It should get into fastboot. I`m 99% sure. If all the steps I wrote are done correct!
Why should battery be drained at ZERO?
I will tell you the truth – I don`t know. Really. But all I know is that it`s kind of a switch. When something goes wrong draining the battery will clear something that it shouldn’t be there.
If this tutorial helped you then click Thank you so i can count how many good things i`ve done in my life he he! If i didn`t helped you then don`t stop reading until you find the solution! Good luck!
How did you unbricked your device? Tell us here and help others do the same!
Is there a special reason why we should use a Nougat Recovery? I'm on C432B160 and have tried the change filesystem thing with METICULUS Recovery and well... it didn't work
Thank you!
Created an account just to say thanks for this! I've have spent hours and hours trying to unbrick my phone..

Is there a special reason why we should use a Nougat Recovery? I'm on C432B160 and have tried the change filesystem thing with METICULUS Recovery and well... it didn't work

Good question! The reason i told everyone to use there version and this custom recovery is because METICULUS is not working at least didn`t for me! It didn`t even started at first place! Nougat is preferable because a lot of people get in trouble when they upgrade to Nougat and then try to downgrade that`s one of the reasons too. So my advice is try Nougat custom recovery for your case! Good Luck and best wishes

Yes of course there will be no trouble at all but instead of METICULUS recovery use the one i posted here! You have access to fastboot and unlocked bootloader so just follow the steps from number 4! If this doesn`t work you can try to flash http://consumer.huawei.com/bg/support/products/downloads/detail/huawei-p9lite-bk.htm?id=93797 this rollback package and via the method with SD Card and then flash stock rom from the link above! :highfive:
Good luck and i`m waiting for the result! :highfive:

Okay. First of all buy a decent Micro SD Card at least 6gb of storage! This is one of the most important things i forgot to tell here. Decent means famous brand like Kingston or Philips or something like that because other then this will fail! After that do you have access to fastboot? If you have fastboot then type "fastboot oem unlock <your unlock code>" If you don`t know it i can help you with that! After that flash the recovery i posted and try to fix the partition by the way i explained above. Then follow the last steps for preparing the SD and flashing the ROM. Good Luck my friend:highfive:

I´m facing the same poblem. Bootloop with Bootloader locked, FRP locked, battery empty. I can get into fastboot mode but no chance of flashing anything. USB debugging seems to be deactivated. I cant charge the battery because as soon as I connect the phone to a powersource its starts the bootloop. Force flashing via sd card (volume up and down plus power) doesn´t seem to work either (guess due to the low battery).
Any suggestions are much appreciated.

(SOLVED)Urgent! Help! Bricked phone!

I instaled persona78's B600 mod on TWRP 3.0.2-0 and rebooted. Just boot logo. Nothing else. No recovery, no fastboot, nothing. After struggling a bit I mamaged to get into fastboot, but when I run adb command in Windows 8.1 it says "waiting for device" and that's it. I tried several tools and "kits" with more functions, one of them being TWRP.
Please help! Tommorow morning I have a working trip and I extremely need my phone, and in my country it's already 1:00 a.m.
I will be very thankful for any solution and fast response.

should return your device's serial number. Then you can go ahead and flash the 4 needed partions from the stock ROM with fastboot.
First of all, you need the 4 .img files for boot, recovery, cust and system.
You can get these as follows:
On this page you can find all ALE-L21 firmware. Find the latest. The latest FULL firmware for Europe region is C432B602 (Dual SIM) and C432B603 (Single SIM). Download the FULL version (not OTA) and use Huawei Update Extractor to extract boot, recovery, cust, and system as .img files
Open a command window in the folder with the files and rename them accodingly if you wish (e.g. 06.boot.img -> boot.img)
Then you can flash them in fastboot mode like this:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash system system.img

Hi...
what about HWOTA-WAS Methode? There you can change Region from C02 to any other. If you didnt have the 3 package Firmware for that. Let me know...i can upload my B398C432 for 4GB dual sim firmware. You can
also try to only extract the oeminfo from same named folder and flash it by fastboot command
fastboot flash oeminfo xxxxxxxxx.img
If its no image then Rename it from xxxxxxxxx to xxxxxxxxx.img
But hey heads up...nothing is lost

Here these 2 zip´s waiting for your download. Keep in mind...an unlocked bootloader is needet^^

HWOTA-WAS-Eng is the tool
HWOTA are the 3 parts of the Firmware

copy and paste the 3 parts of firmware into the HWOTA8_WAS / update folder
then connect the Phone ( fastboot mode ) to the PC
start the process by execute the update_eng.bat
when asked whether it should be repacked or already is .... it is already repacked
when asked for Source...choose Script
now the !!!!what would you do!!! choose 2 for !!!!!!change location!!!!! that you go away from the C02 European-Vodafone Brandt straight to the one you want WAS-LX1AC432
follow the prcess to the End

mee too I had this issue so what I did maybe you need to be patient . you will push dload ( the idea is to try every firmware even if not compatible with your phone result just worked your phone )

2 - if you could open the TWRP make a full wip everything . delete all systems data .... everything .
3 - here you need to be patient please : donwload all huawei dual SIM and try one by one download this FIRMWARE
4 - put the file exactly as this HERE @Thanks to Alexxx1
5 - if we suppose after many tries you have the chance to get phone worked and you will see that the BUILD NUMBER is like that 8.0.0.046 (xyz)
6 - connect your phone using HI SUITE then update from HI SUITE . you will see that you are in the last version of EMUI and try another version . click on it . you will see the exact Firmware of your device but android 7 not problem you can get latest update after easily .as always .

Hi...
ok guys.....dont try anything other...keep on being at the HWOTA ok sweethearts. The HWOTA progress is starting and flashing the TWRP recovery...then it ask to reboot to recovery but nothing happens right? The Answer is very simple.
There doesnt exist a fastboot command to directly reboot from fastboot to recovery like
fastboot reboot-recovery (this command would be nice but its not existing)
so what is to do for you after TWRP was flashed successfully...the script is waiting for the boot into recovery. you need to do it manually by unplug the usb cable from the Phone and then press pwr button for so long that the screen turns into black-shut off the phone you know.
even the screen is tunred into black (the phone is shut-off) instantly press and hold Vol-up key for so long until you see the Huawei Logo...Pwr-Key not needet cause Phone is power-up by it selfe.
you should now enter recovery-mode....now reconnect the usb cable and in the HWOTA script press enter and follow the instructions in the blue screen script and dont forget we want to change the Region. That you leave the C02 Vodafone branding firmware to c432 European no branding.
for the latest step the script ask you to relock the bootloader or let him unlocked...so let him unlocked if you not have a unlock-code and if you want to flash a custom rom later.

8.0.0.046(xyz) is a bug mode that means it is a wrong boot image in the System with a security patch from 2018 if i remeber correctly. The HiSuit could not help for his Problem cause he had a wrong brandet firmware flashed. btw HiSiute also doesnt help by anything that you try to fix...you Device is not supportet is the standart answer from HiSuite...its a bull**** tool like every other bull**** tool from other Customers like Samsung Sony bla blub.

even the screen is tunred into black (the phone is shut-off) instantly press and hold Vol-up key for so long until you see the Huawei Logo...Pwr-Key not needet cause Phone is power-up by it selfe.
you should now enter recovery-mode....now reconnect the usb cable and in the HWOTA script press enter and follow the instructions in the blue screen script and dont forget we want to change the Region. That you leave the C02 Vodafone branding firmware to c432 European no branding.
for the latest step the script ask you to relock the bootloader or let him unlocked...so let him unlocked if you not have a unlock-code and if you want to flash a custom rom later.
Hi...
So let us go the HWOTA way to really fix his issue and to get his Device working like it should I know that will work pretty well.

Hey man! thanks again for reply
the command "fastboot reboot recovery" actually exist, and works with many models, but not all of them
with the p10 lite, it works:
fastboot reboot recovery
Rebooting into recovery OKAY [ 0.018s]
Finished. Total time: 0.034s
the problem is, i still get "error mode"
even if i try with the "power on + volume up" combo...still...error mode
@speedson would you like to do a teamviewer session to my computer?
and a telegram videocall to see the phone?
what you think?
i have the same issue. Speedson`s way is working but i cant seem to find a way to charge my phone either on error mode or on fastboot.
Upon restart there is a red lightining and the phone isnt rebooting if i take off any cable. just black screen as if it is not charged. when i connect the cable with pc it wont boot to recovery because its connected.

yep, same issue now...i can't offline charge my phone
red blinking and the phone goes OFF
i can only use fastboot mode with usb plugged in
Do you think its possible the issue of not charging to be because of the software or maybe the charging port is somewhat damaged?
I mean it could be possible that we both might have damaged the charging port. However i cant see anywhere some info about that issue. Can we for sure know that the phone charges on error mode or on bootloader, or is itfor sure a software issue?
