I restarted my phone and this popped up on my screen.

I can't get to recovery or Fastboot but it does get detected by my pc when I hold volume up and down and press the power button. Any suggestions on what to do next?

Use msmtool. If your device is global use the global msmtool, if TMO, use TMO one

What if I'm using a tmobile device, but on the international OOS?

If you want to use TMO software on TMO device, use this
If you want to convert TMO device to international, use this
If you have an International device and want to use international software, use this

Once someone converts the tmobile device to international, there's no difference between the two devices, correct? The hardware and software are the same?
I did the tmobile convert to international months ago. I was just wondering if I ever got into one of these sticky situations, which tool I should use.

Yes, no difference . If you ever got into sticky situation, just use the msmtool that you used to convert before.

Enjoy!!

So just to be sure, if I buy a locked Incredible, and punch in these codes, I can use it with any simcard?

No. The Incredible does not use removable SIM cards. That is primarily a GSM thing, and although some CDMA standards support them, they are not commonly seen in the US.
I am not sure what you could actually accomplish with this unlock. Perhaps getting the phone onto another CDMA carrier that will take practically any phone like Cricket?
You guys are not going to believe what he says about the unlock , that's his first post ever.
lol scarey

Are there any issues with buying an X Play from a carrier? (XT1563 model)

I'd like to get one and my easiest way of acquiring one is through a local carrier, but I'm worried if it will have some kind of pitfall. Will I stop getting updates? Will they be slow to arrive? Can it be turned to a stock pure version without the bloatware via a stock rom? Is it worth it? Keep in mind it's the XT1563 latin american version. And the carrier is Nextel.
I bought mine from Mercadolibre (XT1563), I wasnt aware I got the double sim version until I opened it, it seem mine runs with the iusacell rom.
I have been asking my self the same questions.
Updates may be a bit slower to come out. As for bloatware, the only one I found on my Koodo device was the Koodo Self Serve app.
I got mine through Telus, it doesn't have anything extra (Telus bloatware). Updates come in not to bad from them (timely).

Do you try 4g LTE networks with other carriers like Telcel?

How do I create a debloated rom?

I run a phone shop in New Zealand and I sell Sprint Galaxy S4's. I want to remove all the Sprint customization and make it fully stock.
1. Can I do this by extracting the original sprint firmware and replacing the system image with the international one and converting it back to Odin flashable?
2. Or is there a way I can mount the system image and delete all the Sprint apps?
I need your opinions guys. Thanks

Well the simplest answer is, you can't. Sprint makes their devices in a way that you can't do that. Now you can remove the Sprint apps and boot animation, but it will essentially it will always be a Sprint phone.

Update prl..

Hi guys.. I have a freedompop g2 (ls980) I'm not quite sure what they programmed with but some kind of custom rom for their service?
I had this phone working on ringplus but then they booted me/canceled me
But when I popped this phone on my other ring+ account.. it didn't exactly instantly come up.. I had to program the msn/phone number manually.. and then I got voice service.. but past that.. the 3G/LTE just won't work.. the phone is constantly caught in this mode

}
So I'm not sure what the problem is.. as I see it
it could be
1. software?
2. ringplus?
when I dial the programming code ##775# it crashes.. (hitting activate this device also causes a crash) I also see this problem is for others on ring+ but this phone used to work perfectly before ring+ kicked me off a certain account.
I am rooted have twrp on there.. and have put on this mod and taken it back off.. and I do have it on the wifi.. there is a myth or something that the prl can be programmed by wifi?? but doesn't work in my case.
PRL is built in by different operators, in this case, Its a Sprint service. It won't work if you're not using Sprint I think. 3G and LTE won't work because of different CDMA bands/frequencies.
all I can tell you is I got 1x/cdma working.. I wonder if I can dump my lte sim into another sprint phone and expect it to work?
ahh unresolved.. unresolved..
gonna go to used phone store.. and test my ring+ sim's I get to see if they get data.

Help. Chinese device with Global ROM

Hello! I just bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 of 128gb, and when checking on the Xiaomi page to know if it was authentic, it said yes but that it was not the official global version.

When I turn it down it says "Unlocked."
My question is, do I keep the cell phone or do I return it?
I don't know if it has any negative points, something will not work or if it is the same.
When I turned it on I had MIUI 10, and after configuring it I upgrade to MIUI 11 without problems, so I guess it has the official ROM and not a custom or anything weird.
I did benchmarks with AnTuTu and everything matches, the cell phone is original Redmi Note 7, the problem is the software then.
Googleing, apparently some resellers buy the Chinese versions, unlock the bootloader and install the global version, and I think this is the case. But I don't know if it can harm me or not, that's my fear
And I saw in a video on YouTube some guy saying that to unlock the bootloader they have to open the cell phone and make bridges on the board, is that right? because if they open the cell phone and made some changes, I don't really want to keep the phone (I don't know the skills of the one who openned it)
I don't know if it's a simple process like rooting the cellphone, or if they opened the phone and weld things... If its just like Im runing a custom ROM I don't care (I was probably going to root and try some custom ROM in a few months haha)
