Enjoy!!

does this really work? have you tried? cos i am thinking of ordering the locked one and use it in Brunei. can you have it translate to english?

Power Unlock:
Select emergency call, enter the dial, enter # # 3424, and then install htc_diag_driver.
See the port number assigned on your computer, remember this number.
Open CDMAworkshop, set up the corresponding port, then connect to connect mobile phones, point read read phone information
Point security label, that one where the SPC input 000 000, Point SPC button, select send.
SPC lock is removed! !

So just to be sure, if I buy a locked Incredible, and punch in these codes, I can use it with any simcard?

No. The Incredible does not use removable SIM cards. That is primarily a GSM thing, and although some CDMA standards support them, they are not commonly seen in the US.
I am not sure what you could actually accomplish with this unlock. Perhaps getting the phone onto another CDMA carrier that will take practically any phone like Cricket?

You guys are not going to believe what he says about the unlock , that's his first post ever.

lol scarey

Why not just call T-Mobile and have them send you the unlock code for free?

Unlock Screen

Does anyone know of a replacement for the PIN unlock screen. My company pushes a policy forcing me to lock the phone, fine.
A better app would make it less painful.
Short of that, does anyone know how to make SU2 work when the phone is pin locked?

Wow, it's like working for my company. "That feature will be out with the next release"
Thanks, I'll keep an eye out.
Alternative solution
go to HKLM > security>policies>policies and set 1023 to 1.
That re enables the pin lock screen and you can turn it off

EVO Caller ID - next gen?

Does the EVO have the same kind of caller id as the Wildfire?

Our next-generation Caller ID
When someone calls you, your Caller ID doesn’t just tell you their name and number any more – it tells you useful stuff like their Facebook status and birthday date, too.

First of all, I'd like to say that Caller ID feature is pretty freaking awesome.
Second of all, I'd be dumbfounded if HTC didn't include this new version in the Evo. I mean, what's the reasoning on putting it on one of their midrange devices while excluding it from their best smartphone to date?
Unfortunately, no it doesn't. This feature is (as of right now) exclusive to the Wildfire.

As of right now, meaning within the first couple weeks there will most likely be someone who cooks a rom that has it built in, and with the recent rooting of the rom, that day will be probably before launch date of the phone lol
wow, I didn't see anything about that caller id til mentioned here.... really cool

Quick dumb question: If I cancelled my sprint line with the Evo...

does that mean it's clean and ready for activation for a new user? I set it back to factory defaults.

As long as nothing is due on the original account, yes, you can resell/reactivate the evo in another account.

You will need to call Sprint and have them deactivate the ESN from your account, then someone else can activate it.

yes usually they do this automatically when cancelling the account if no balance is due however i tried this with one of my phones a while back and actually had to call to get it released.

yes usually they will clear the esn when you cancel the account. but I would call them and make sure the esn is clear before you sell it, that way you dont run into any problems

Use msmtool. If your device is global use the global msmtool, if TMO, use TMO one

Once someone converts the tmobile device to international, there's no difference between the two devices, correct? The hardware and software are the same?
I did the tmobile convert to international months ago. I was just wondering if I ever got into one of these sticky situations, which tool I should use.
Yes, no difference . If you ever got into sticky situation, just use the msmtool that you used to convert before.
