Probably be a good idea to hold off updating on this, especially if you cross-flashed just to make sure it doesn't break anything for the ATT version.

So i went ahead and updated using upgrade in LGUP and so far so good.

I cross flashed AWM oreo with ULM oreo using the LGUP 1.14 from thread cross flashed AWM Oreo with Korean Oreo. Then I refurbished the AWN with the latest ULM Pie. So far no problem.

How did you flash this firmware? I am on V350N20c_00_KT_KR_OP_0405.kdz and LGUP refused to cross flash this firmware. It failed at 5%.

What error message are you getting? Are you using the correct version of the LG UP? May be do an incremental upgrade (install previous ULM version then the newest) instead of jumping directly from KR version. Also, your download could be corrupt, may be download again. Be careful though, there are a few mentions of ppl bricking their phones due to experimenting around.
Edit: In my case, it was my spare AT&T V35 on AT&T stock 8.0 and i directly flashed the new 20E ULM version using refurbish option.

I used LGUP and upgraded from the 20d to the 20e with no issues. Don't notice much difference. I do remove pretty much all the bloat. Hope it works out for you.

do you use LG UP 1.14 with patched DLL?

Does uppercut remove bloatware? If not, how'd yah manage that?

No. You can't use Uppercut on anything past Nougat. Uninstall it and never speak of it again.
To flash firmware you want Dev Patched LGUP.

LG V20 us996 ota udpates

I have been using the v20 us996 for several months now, and it works quite well, but the last update received was back in January, and was curious to know about OTA firmware updates. Mine is still on the December 2106 update and after doing some research I found that some of the US996 phorne received an OTA update sometime in April. Is there a way to force my phone to receive the OTA update?
Or would I have to flash a KDZ of whatever the latest firmware is?

I believe the firmware the OP is referencing is U.S. Cellular v10h. I've seen users on Reddit running v10h on the US996 Unlocked with root and no issue.
How did you draw the conclusion that v10h precludes root on the 996?
I'm running 10f stock on factory unlocked US996 with root and all. No issues whatsoever.

Sorry but my phone arrived with it on it already. If I see a link for it then I'll post it.

T-Mobile Lg V20 has no OS and now no TWRP

Am I screwed? I tried following a guide on here and now TWRP is gone off my phone and I have no OS. I really dont want to have to go exchange it...
try looking for the original kdz for your model and flash the kdz using LGup here's the link
https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/v20-kdz-restore-failing-9-completing-fix-t3546817
you might need to do some manual searching for the tmobile kdz since in that link there is some kdz links but none specified for the tmobile variant, there is one similar to ours and that's the h918tn but im sure thats not for our phone.

flashable modems/baseband?

Do they make a flashable modem or baseband updates for the V20? On my galaxy s4 you could flash newer modems and it would help with poor cell signal. Just curious if this is possible with the V20 (I have a dirty Santa unlocked H910a running a us996 bootloader)
From what I have heard, the modems are tied to the bootloaders on 10p and later, and they require the most current ROM to avoid ARB issues. I have the 10j or 10k modem and it seems to be running fine with AOSP. Nobody seems to have flashed AOSP over the 10p/10q firmware which is understandable due to the fear of it not working and being stuck on that firmware.
I flashed AOKP on my H910a unlocked by dirty Santa but had to switch to Weta because it kept randomly giving me a blue death screen. But that "may" have been due to me adjusting the kernel processor speeds with the Device control app. Not 100% sure though..

I've made a 10h flashable modem for my us996 but it doesn't seem to update. This is the correct command right?
package_extract_file("modem.img", "/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/modem");
Can anyone post a screenshot of the 10h us996 baseband info or at least a date on it?
download the modem.img from here and flash with TWRP

I have an arb0 h918. Will this work on that? Does it update the baseband too? My current baseband version is M8996FAAAANAZM-1.77008.1.80277.1

H918 stuff is setup so that if you cross flash firmware you brick (Other models can't cross flash H918 firmware either). H918 can ONLY run H918 firmware.

Vs995, us996, ls997 rom bases i only get 3 signal bars. But in f800's base my signal is better, always full.
I played around with roms and lost all modem connectivity - phone thought it was in airplane mode when it wasnt.
Flashed the modem above and now voice and text work, but data only 3g no lte.
Any suggestions?

Science firmware site?

I have the unlocked U1 version and am trying to use this site to flash new beta Oreo. I don't see my variant listed. I only see the U and not U1. Is that the same file I should flash?

Thanks. I'm sure someone though is in the same position as me and hopefully had an answer
It's only for carrier S8's. They have no firmware for unlocked models.
You can flash QK5 through Odin and do it that way if you're on a US carrier and want bloat though.

I just updated my phone from that site and it works perfectly thru stocked recovery. They are all OTA updates so it will not wipe your phone. Only thing is when flashing from nougat to oreo change your themes back to pure stock or you will get system ui error, and have to factory reset

This is the version I'm running. Which update should I choose?

Can I install this ROM?

So I found this on the XDA home page. It says SM-935A is required (I have SM-935U) BUT I thought that model number mostly applies to which carrier you're using...So if I flash the lates AT&T version via Odin can I then update to this Oreo build? Here's the article:

Thanks. I might hold off till there's a more stable build. If I didn't need to wipe everything I might give it a try.
But in case I change my mind, you extract the update.zip and apply update from sdcard, right?

So I currently have it installed. The only issue I'm having so far is that the light on my heart beat sensor is lighting up whenever anything gets extremely close to it.
