LTE version: WiFi calling? - Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e Questions & Answers

So I got myself the LTE version of this tab.
Was hoping wifi calling was an option.. But it doesn't seem to support it (at least I can't seem to find the option)
I have a tmobile Sim card and when I use it on my note 8 I can see the wifi calling option.
Anyone know a way to enable this? Or the the s5e simply not support this feature.?

I think this depends on your cell provider as some networks do not support WiFi calling

Yeah it does,
In my case my provider does support wifi calling and using the same Sim card I can activate wifi calling on a couple of other devices I have., just not on this tablet because I am unable to find the option.

In that case I would take your device to either the local high street retail branch of your Service Provider or a Samsung Service Centre and ask them for further assistance. There is a chance that the SGTS5e does not support WiFi calling as it is a tablet afterall.

3 way conference

I conference all the time when I used to be on T-mobile network. Now I switched to Simple Mobile network and all I can do on it is 2-way calling. Is there any way I can bypass this or is this a network thing?

I'm pretty sure its a network thing, they sometimes give you the option of 3way calling for extra charge. it just depends on the network.
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, the network that I am now on does not support conferencing, which is a bit disappointing to me.

T-Mobile wifi calling possible on unlocked S7 Edge (SM-G935U)?

I have an unlocked Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935U). My carrier is Total Wireless (Verizon MVNO). I recently got a new office at work, and the Verizon coverage in this part of the building is terrible. I use wifi for data but cellular calling basically doesn't work at all.
I've been looking at other networks, and I'm leaning toward T-Mobile or MetroPCS, one of the reasons being they have wifi calling and the wifi at my office is plenty fast. I checked in settings to see the wifi calling option, but when I go to settings > connections > more connection settings, which is where the wifi calling setting is supposed to be, there's nothing about wifi calling.
I had a thought that maybe the wifi calling option isn't there because my current carrier doesn't support wifi calling, so I contacted Samsung support. I asked if I get a SIM from a carrier that supports wifi calling, would the wifi calling option be enabled. They said that unlocked phones don't support wifi calling at all.
This confuses me, because this thread mentions some people were able to use T-Mobile wifi calling on an unlocked S7/S7Edge. But that thread is older, so maybe for some reason wifi calling was removed from the unlocked S7 Edge with the Nougat update?
I suppose the only way to find out for sure is to get a T-Mobile or MetroPCS SIM and see what happens. But is anyone able to shed some light on if this is even worth trying? I suppose it's also worth trying out just to see if regular cellular calling on T-Mobile might be fine at my new desk, but hopefully there's some way to do wifi calling.
Unfortunately I think you need the sm-g935f to get t mobile wifi calling. Don't think it was ever achieved on the U models
I had an s7 edge from T-Mobile (SM-G935T) but I flashed the unlocked firmware essentially making it a SM-G935U and I had VoLTE and Wifi calling working with no issues. It was about a month ago, so it was on Nougat. I would expect no issues with an actual SM-G935U on T-Mobile.
Well, I answered my own question. I switched over to the T-Mobile 10 GB $50/month prepaid plan and when I changed SIMs the phone gave me a "reconfiguring your device for new SIM card" message. Wifi calling is now active.
Also, this is a list of phones that support T-Mobile wifi calling. I probably should've checked here first.

Wifi calling not available

I have a S10+ that was bought from US Cellular that I am now using on Straight Talk with a TMobile sim. I had Wifi calling working just fine before I switched to the new Beta update. After switching back to Android 9 it now says "This is currently unavailable under the call settings for Wifi calling. I am at a loss. I live in an area were the cellular signal is spotty at best and need Wifi calling to work.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

AT&T doesn't like unlocked phones so it's possible the option isn't showing up because of that. Many AT&T customers with unlocked phones have reported that they needed to contact AT&T customer service to get WiFi Calling or Volte working.

VoLTE / WiFi Calling with Nokia X6 / 6.1 Plus TA-1099

Hi,
after upgrading to Pie I experienced call drops and poor coverage.
I then investigated and found out VolLTE, which should be supported, is not enabled in my phone. I also understand that WiFi Calling is also supported by this phone, but I cannot find out where/how to enable it.
The phone is not rooted and I use two sim cards: Vodafone and EE.
I dialled *#*#4636#*#* and "VoLTE provisioned" is disabled, "Video Calling provisioned" is disabled, "Wi-Fi calling provisioned" is disabled and "EAB/Presence Provisioned" is disabled. Is that normal?
Please let me know
Thank you!
Does your carrier support Volte and VoWifi patches for this device?
Hi, yes they should do. I
VoWIFI Calling has been enabled in my device (Jio).
I am still not able to see Vowifi calling option in my handset...I have airtel sim card

Airtel supports wifi calling on nokia 6.1 plus. I am using it. Try to enable it with jio sim. Then use airtel sim. It worked for many users. u ll see the option to enable wifi calling then.
I have sold the phone, it just did not work properly
I then bought a Xiaomi MI 9 SE which is MUCH better in every way

Phone operator not supporting wifi call. Can I unlock it?

Hi, so I know you can enable wifi calls on your Redmi note 7 phone, but that doesn't mean wifi call will work. I believe phone operators needs to support your phone for this. I use "Onecall" which is based in Norway. They only support iPhone's, Samsung phones, and a few huawei phones.
Is it still possible to make this work? I really do need wifi call, and now I'm considering getting a phone that truly supports this feature in Norway.
I think it's an IMEI based feature, for example here in Italy with Vodafone just some devices can use VoLTE and some of them needs to be sold by Vodafone with a branded software, so the VoLTE will work only on that IMEI, i don't know how your carrier work but i think it's something like that.

Those commands is just so that VOLTE or Wifi calling will appear in the settings which I have already done. I have also enabled it of course, but still not working.

You need to have the volte service enabled by phone operator for your sim card. If working for some phones (ex. Samsung) it's like my operator (Digi EU), it's enabled automatically for some IMEI types. If you can, try to keep your sim in a supported phone, or try to ask the operator to enable the volte service.
This way you can make the volte working, for the vowifi... if you are lucky, your Redmi Note 7 have a working vowifi modem config for your operator... I needed to change the modem profile using the Qualcomm PDC tool...** https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83310915&postcount=26
