TWRP themes - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

Is anybody using a theme for the newest version of twrp? I used to have one on my V20 and kind of miss having one.

I remember that on the v20 too. Seeing your question reminded me to look into this for the 6t.

I mean I found some but they are for TWRP 3.1 and 3.2 were on 3.3.1 and I'm not sure if it would be alright to flash a theme designed for an older version.

I don't know if it is safe or not but I wouldn't recommend using a theme designed for older TWRP. I did that a few years ago. It was on a different phone but it lead to a soft brick.

Why would you want to do this?
Pretty much like playing with fire, usually only kernel and modem differs, but then you have threads like these:

Because I fear the D800 version of Lollipop will take years to come out, as they continually do with updates, this way they can force people to upgrade to new phones.
hell, they've had the AtriX HD KK update for months now and won't release it lol. So it's hard to believe they will update this version of the phone.

Looks interesting but flashing wipes everything and waiting on confirmation if you can flash TWRP after you've used the Oneplus recovery so we can have root

Flashed it already, here are the things I didn't like:
1) OPO doesn't charge. At all. I mean, if you connect the charger (doesn't matter if it's Power Bank or wall charger) phone will not discharge.
2) Vibration motor is active for too long for haptic feedback.
Won't be my daily driver just because of (1).

Have you attempted to flash TWRP over Oneplus recovery after flashing the ROM since I've seen they say you can mess your phone, but what about after you've already installed the OS?

Congrats on the nice snag! Strongly recommend you never boot into FireOS to avoid an inadvertent OTA update. Simply boot TWRP from fastboot (post back if you need a link) and flash the excellent Nexus ROM from there.
Wow thanks a lot I have been searching for how to deal with this. I just used Toms Super tool and flashed nexus rom and super su in twrp. Thanks alot everyone. I love this rom, that tool and this tablet.

BTW - no need to launch FireOS and risk an unwanted OTA. Simply boot to fastboot, fire up TWRP and install Nexus.

Update: I flashed CRK1 in ODIN and allowed the phone to boot normally. Then updated to CRL1 and booted all the way. And finally the Pie update went through in recovery.

does it work for G955U1?
Worked after I odined back for me also. That's odd
Damn it, still nothing for Exynos!
Any luck getting SABS or adhell to work?
Seems like this one assumes everyone has G955U and not G955U1 - same wit firmware.science as well.. there is no option to select an unlocked XAA version. I am on G955U1UEU5CRK3.

The builds are pulled off of carrier servers. Anything unlocked has to wait on Samsung
Also on G955U1UEU5CRK3 but originally from sprint. Can I go back to sprint crk1 firmware and update from that??

You shouldn't have any issues getting Adhell3 or SABS to work - Not sure about notSABS - I've got both Adhell3 & SABS installed (didn't turn on SABS because they would conflict) Blokada is also pretty good & doesn't have a conflict with Adhell3 - There's also Package Disabler - They are all working on One UI beta on my S9+ FYI ??️

How to convert updated Hydrogen OS (10.0.7) to Oxygen OS

Nope. Normally MSM tool would be the method, but MSM tools have been made to not flash devices other than the device they were designed for starting with this device. Root will be the only method of there is a way going forward. Only 7 Pro and older will allow for this.
