ROM Development?

Hey guys
I was wondering, for a noob, where can I go to learn how to design my own ROM? I am not a noob in the complete sense of the word, I know what I'm doing for the most part, I'm just interested in learning if this is something I could do on my own. Any resources you can give me would be much appreciated!

[Q] Hello! And Help Please?

Hi all!
This is my first time visiting this site and so far it's awesome! Thanks for building an awesome site!
So, I bought the HTC Touch T8282 off Craigslist and I'm not sure what to do. It's all in Chinese (Traditional according to my buddy) and I don't understand it. I guess I just need to put English on there. The phone is already unlocked. I assume I need to flash my phone now...
I powered on the phone with the volume down button and see it's SPL 1.14.0liNex. I'm not really sure what else to do from here. I see a lot of really helpful guides, including http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Blackstone/Understanding_Flashing_and_Ship.exe but I just want to make sure I'm not going to turn my new phone into a brick. If anybody can direct me to the right downloads/guides, I would great appreciate it, thanks!

Hello XDA,
I've been seeing these days a lot of user complaining about the lack of tutorials envolving Root, Cyanogenmod, and a lot of other stuff, so i want to help them and share some knowledge i have about android. So i created a Youtube Channel in which i hope to help the XDA and the whole Android community, now i will only have some tutorial about Samsung, because it is the only device avaiable for me at the moment but i hope soon to have some other devices so i can help more people. The videos are short but i'm sure it will help some people, i'm working everyday to bring new tutorial with better quality. Plase leave your feedback and a thanks so i know i'm helping you! CrisBalGreece's ROMs and Other Works

Hi all, I'm not sure if it's against the rules to post this but if any of you guys want to follow updates on CBG's ROMs and other works then just visit this site .

G930V S7 and Custom OS?

if anyone has the time and knowledge to help me with my Galaxy S7, i'd like to have some help putting a custom OS on it. ive been wanting to do it for quite a while now but every attempt has been a fail. (i mean help like helping from the start and such to the end) ive researched it some, and i still get confused. if anyone wants to try and help, feel free to message me {Mod edit}. if im posting this in the wrong forum, lmk

I dont know what your idea of custom rom is but there is no such thing as having a custom rom on US model s7 or s7 edge. You can root them and install modified stock roms but thats it. If your bootloader is bit B/11 then the only thing you can do with your phone is what I have posted in the Guides and Discussion thread of this forum
