Hello XDA,
I've been seeing these days a lot of user complaining about the lack of tutorials envolving Root, Cyanogenmod, and a lot of other stuff, so i want to help them and share some knowledge i have about android. So i created a Youtube Channel in which i hope to help the XDA and the whole Android community, now i will only have some tutorial about Samsung, because it is the only device avaiable for me at the moment but i hope soon to have some other devices so i can help more people. The videos are short but i'm sure it will help some people, i'm working everyday to bring new tutorial with better quality. Plase leave your feedback and a thanks so i know i'm helping you! Hey all am a new android user.... i just put hands on xperia x10 bought it yesterday !dont have any before experience in adnroid! i spent last 3 hours rooting ....installing busybox ....emulators everything i successfully made BT5 boot up....depend on anantshri he needs testers ! so am here ! sorry i made new thread cuz im new user cant post replay .....and new in this forum .....i have photos too how i boot it and everything ..

secondly i would suggest you to get involved with the community and read and react on what's there is general and Q&A section, you will soon be able to contribute on Dev section also.
I would prefer if we keep discussion in one thread so that everyone benefits.
as far as help i need is concerned,
I need someone to check which software can work which of them are causing problems. both at GUI and console level so that i can work on a customized image file containing only working software.
note : web/wpa cracking will not work so don't try that.

OK thanks for replay..... how i can test the tools ? most of them are about networking and pentration(am confused cuz it need an ip address wirless is not working nor i can plug a cable) ....can you tell me for example : tell me which software nd what do ? basically the command and i tell you the results ....

I start this new topic with the purpose of creating a "community" for this device.

Hello to everyone
First i would like to thank all the people who have contributed and help other people in here with there problems.
Secondly after reading and reading i can't help to notice that the board is not organised and confusing to to members. A point in case is when i tried to read on adb and fastboot, i got people especially senior members point to 3 different threads relating to same thing and and steps somehow diffrently eg i got pointed
to 1.[GUIDE] ADB, Fastboot, and Nandroid for Noobs,
2.[Newbie Guide] adb/fastboot/bootloader/android 101
3. [Guide] Setting up ADB [Windows]
All this are guide, pointed out for you to and these guides talk in regards to their device in there specific device threads. Yet you are being pointed to them from arc threads. some of this threads mention requirements and one of the requirements is the device. so somebody coming from arc threas being pointed here gets bamboozled when he reads and find out it's talking on lets Say HTC phone. Really confusing and when a newbie ask a question, some senior members instead of answering politely, the answer as i see it rudely with sometime " see the links in my Signature"
I ask to these kind of people if u cant answer just dont answer better than saying "see the links in my signature" in which if u follow the link sometime u dont get ur answer.
Let other people answer the guy if u cant. Kindly see this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17893157 for you to understand. see how some people reply to the questioner and how others are disrespectful (as i see it). its only one page so it wont take much of your time.
Members and developers should collaborate together to create stickies on one unified guide in regards to all the aspects of arc.
lets say there should be sticky for Installing adb and fastboot for Arc, another unlocking the bootloader for arc or rooting for arc with bootloader unlocked and locked bootloader. These stickies should then be updated as new workaround or development emerge.
According to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034087 the arc bootloader can be unlocked free, but according to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1037874 it cant and you have to pay in order to get it unlocked. Please anyone should read the the whole pages of the second link and he will see nowhere is mentioned that the booloader can be unlocked now for free.
