Honor 8 Pro has been launched in India at a price of Rs 29,999. The latest Honor India smartphone was first featured in MWC 2017, in Barcelona as the Honor V9. The re-branded version in India comes with a 5.7 inch Quad HD Display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Weighing 184 grammes, the Honor 8 Pro measures 157.25 X 77.6 X 6.97mm and is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 960 Octa-Core SoC. Also, the smartphone runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS with an EMUI 5.0 skin on top.
The Honor 8 Pro houses a 6GB RAM and a 128GB internal storage, with an option of adding another 128GB storage using external microSD. The smartphone draws its juice from a big 4,000 mAh battery. The UPS of the Honor 8 Pro however, is its Dual Camera setup at the back. The Honor smartphone sports two 12-megapixel camera sensors at the back which combine to deliver a depth effect in photography. Both these lenses are similar, apart from the fact that one of them is strictly for monochrome effect. The Honor 8 Pro offers a plethora of Camera options to the users in the form of features like HDR, Pro Mode, Night Mode, Light Painting, 3D Creator, Slow-Motion recording and more. Honor 8 Pro also houses an 8-megapixel front camera with a f/2.0 aperture. Other features of the smartphone include Dual SIM and 4G VoLTE support.
Honor 8 Pro will be available exclusively on Amazon India in 2 colour options - Midnight Black and Navy Blue at a price of Rs 29,999

A higher rating indicates that the camera sensor "sees" lots of light in dim conditions, and that the resulting photos have minimal noise. A higher rating also indicates that when the flash fires, the resulting photo is evenly-lit without any bright spots.

20MP+16MP dual camera and IR blaster?
It seems this new Honor V10 is equiped with 20MP + 16 MP dual camera, and it has IR blaster? Really interested in it.
At the Honor 9 lite launch event at New Delhi, India, the Honor India team confirmed that the EIS feature is in works for 1080p & 4k videos and would be provided through a OTA. That would help in the low light video capture.
for the Honor 9 lite (as you mentioning) or the Honor 10 view ?
The view 10 will get the EIS feature. I just confirmed this when I went to the Honor 9 lite launch.
Night shots are great in this phone. The best phone I have used so far

are you serious about this? And are you sure the Honor team referring the EIS update for Honor View10 or for the Honor 9 Lite? .. as it is the launching event of Honor 9 lite. Cuz this could be the game-changer for this awesome beast phone. I really want to buy this phone as it costs much lower than the other smartphone in its budget segment but the un-availability of EIS really put me off from the decision ( to buy whether this phone or Oneplus 5T ).

The Honor team recognized lack of EIS as a negative for the view 10 and said that they're working on an EIS feature for at least 1080p video.

It is not officially disclosed as of now. The people at Honor know that EIS is a big deal when you put the phone next to the OnePlus 5T and they have acknowledged the lack there of. They're working on many things at the moment (more scene recognition options in the camera, more AI features, etc) that they cannot provide ETA for EIS, which people start along once a company promises them some feature. It is in works along with other features and I hope they pull it off.

Is your camera jittery when zoomed in at 60? Just wondering if my unit is the only one affected.. :crying:
Doesn't seem much different but super glad to receive the June patch. Coming from an s10 still on April it made me happy to have a timely update. I wish more people had this phone and the forum was buzzing. I honestly wouldn't look back at my Samsung after getting this

No, i compared this to Huawei's P30 pro, the 50x zoom is much more stable.

60x zoom is grainy. 30x zoom is sharp
For those who haven't received this update yet/have a CPH1919 in other regions, it's now available to download from the Oppo India site.
Flashing doesn't wipe data or change your region. Original region is preserved.

Open stock file explorer, change file extension to .ozip, tap on it, and upgrade. Phone will reboot and install. Easy.
