is it a problem?
I dont find any news on google...

You probably chose a different preset when you first set-up your phone.

Of course the presets are the same...
I Will post a photo to show the difference

Night mode enabled?
If you can see it on a screenshot it is a software thing... So nightlife or a different setting under Display - Screen Calibration

Everything is off...same screen configuration...
I think It is AMOLED different...more yellow and less Bright

Ok, let's belive it.
You bought a new phone from the official store or a used one? If used, the screren was replaced without telling you.
The first case: cry at the official store to replace.
The second case: nowhere to cry, live with it.

How about checking screen calibration? Try custom calibration settings.

This looks like normal variation to me. OLED suffers this issue.

I tried display calibration but I don't reach a good result, it's Always yellow/pink
Icon pack? Very strange...
I don't know if all oled have this problem, but it seems less brighter also.. probably is normal

Good screen basically has 160 degree view angle. If you tilt your screen and notice any loss of colors, whites getting blown, or see blacks getting reflective you have a bad screen.
or if you are rooted, check if you have the LCD-SO-C2 display instead of the LCD-SH-C2

how do i do that?
Another couple ways are:
1. Put the WiFi calling shortcut on the desktop. Tilt the phone around and see if the you still discern the white lines in the blue logo. If they blend together (and the blue starts turning green) that's probably a bad display.
2. Open the market and pull up downloads. As you tilt the screen, look at the company names beneath the application names, as well as the lines that separate the applications. If the names disappear and the lines disappear (or go "negative"), then it's a bad display.
Of course, "bad" is relative, and if you think it's great then keep it and enjoy.
or if you are rooted, check if you have the LCD-SO-C2 display instead of the LCD-SH-C2
how do i check this? is there a app for this? seems like the easiest way

hold down volume down and power, then select system info
So i called tmobile for replacement bec of bad screen and they are sending me another phone. The most important part i noticed was that when the rep said "i wonder why this phone is having screen issues" so tmobil know about it. Just wanted to put this out there for other people know. I hope my new phone is good haha
LCD-SH-C2 thats the one i have is that the bad one?
it looks good to me
Please post questions in the Q&A section.
I got my phone with a contract from radio shack, so is it possible to still get a replacement sent to me? Let me know guys. I have the receipt and box and all original contents.

What is the difference between LCD-SO-C2 and LCD-SH-C2?

Edge tint calibration after update, missing blue screen.

I have seen a few YouTube uploads and other users describing that during the edge tint adjustment the phone reboots and a blue screen appears with an animation that resembles some kind of firmware adjustment.
I don't get that blue screen and don't notice any difference adjusting the red tint that for me appears in the top of the phone.
Would like to hear if the adjustment worked even without that blue screen or other thoughts about this issue.
if you check local "red tint" thread (and it's huge), nobody had experienced any extra blue or other screens or double reboots (like the instructions on the Edge adjustment screen state). also, just like you, many don't notice any changes after adjusting the edges color temperature and rebooting. so either that "extra" adjustment screen was Korean update specific or Samsung has butchered international update. or, which is even worse, many screens are just defective and beyond any software fix.
Me either
Yeah, I'm also facing this issue either. So bad that our unit didn't get that blue screen and edge screen still red.:crying:
Well mine did the blue screen and rebooted and my edges are fine now

i believe that's a mistake, UK has Exynos. i'm in US with SD but if you read that other thread i mentioned, almost nobody saw that blue screen all across different versions. definitely, never heard from anybody in US mentioning it.

Ditto here. Actually, it was the second time I did the calibration that I got the blue screen with some white Android figure (didn't really pay much attention), and a reboot. Fix was effective at changing screen edge tint...which I'd likely never have noticed had there not been all these threads re same. VZW S8+ here.

Okay , yeah I've read the thread shallowly, I can't remember anyone posting that it worked and mentioning a blue screen, so that's why I made a separate thread to hear more in detail if someone got it working and if that includes seeing a blue screen. My suspicion is that the update is flawed and maybe doesn't apply the changes to all the units.

so the first time you did it there was no blue screen? just for science, can you do it few more times with different slider setting and see if you get it again?

So the first time it didn't appear right? Did you notice any change in edge tint that time tje blue screen didn't appear?
That gives me some hope at least , I've tried applying it in Safe Mode but that didn't work either.
The "blue screen" you guys keep mentioning is when the display driver IC itself is reflashed with different calibration values, it isn't just slapping a software overlay.
My edges are fine, but just as a test, I set them warmer and the phone displayed the blue screen as expected, and the edges became warmer, I set it back and the same happened.

the problem is, only few people get that screen on reboot hence no edge color changes are observed.

No, no blue screen the first time, IIRC. Again, I really didn't pay that much attention, but I may have done the process a second time as I didn't notice either much change or a change that I was happy with the first time. But, it did definitely change the edge "tinting", and I then switched back to amoled cinema from adaptive, so perhaps moot.

Very curious screen anomaly.

I have these 2 very light yellow areas on my screen.
Here's the interesting part, they don't show up on screen shots. They also appear to be getting brighter.
A new screen is probably the only fix. But I'm curious of the cause. Any ideas?
I have included a sample of the issue.

Did you draw that in paint on a screenshot or take a picture of your phone?
If they are hot spots (bright white dots) then they are part of the screen and a new screen is the only issue.

My first buy had similar problems. I exchanged in a store for another.
There were lots of defective screens in Poland.
Factory reset can help for few days.

I drew that because they do not appear on screen shots. Could the color be between the LCD and the digitizer?

The colour is because of a ****ty screen. @acejavelin mentioned in another thread that they are caused by compression for some reason. Don't know how that happens. Like @dzidexx said another screen is the only thing which can solve it. Or deal with it, I do not know how bad it is sorry

Defect rather looks like "Lights behind the closed door".
Do a black photo or jpg file. Look at it with different levels of brightness.
Sometimes it can be observed with other colours.

The last two pics are it exactly. Even though its a little annoying, I still love this phone!! Its the only issue I've had and I use it a lot. For everything. Between flashing, modding and every one of my boot animations has been made on this beast!
And thanks for all the input on this issue everyone.
And sorry to all those who suffer as I do with this affliction. Just kidding.

Hardware !! Read the thread and you'll see it has been made clear it is hardware.
I have the same issue. If I press on the bezel next to the yellow area with my fingers the colors go back to normal until I release. Could this be caused by the screws inside being too tight?
I would disassemble my phone and try to unscrew them a bit but since the back cover is glued I'd rather not unless I'm sure that's it.

Hello XDA members,

Initially I thought its launcher(official nova prime) issue and changed it(now lawnchair) but issue remains same.

That's screen burn in. You won't see them in the screenshot. Usually happens when you use your device with much more brightness, or you keep your screen on for a lot of time(usually more than 10 minutes).
If you don't do any of the above mentioned things, you should visit the nearest service center, because the screen might be faulty.
Its happens .. U can go to service centre and claim ur warranty. Nothing to worry. 2 of my friends already got it repaired. They changed lcd panel to something else. Both of them have Tianma display earlier
If is it a Tianma display the chances are good to be burn in.

Apparently my friend has tianma too. But he isn't experiencing burn in. Can he still get his display changed?
Edit: I visited the service center with him. Those guys were noobs and didn't even know what a screen burn is. I explain them what it is. I even gave them a live demonstration, which worked and gave the burn. They still insisted that it's a software problem.

This is not as 100% sure that someone will have the problema with Tianma display but only more probable. I think that your friend or anyone have to use the smartphone as usual and if the problem shows up in warranty period then go change the display. Don't care too much about it because is more probable don't have it.

strange colours on screen

Hello i just bought s10+ well o had s9 plus, i dont see any differences.. only the colour of the screen is kinda purple why?
I tried to change the white balance nothing changed
Anyone?
Please?
I mean when I change point of view while watching my phone it's kinda purple :/ does anyone notice such a thing?
if there is a screen protector remove it.
There should not be any purple tinge. Did you buy the phone new? If not check that the finger sensor works, as it might be a after market screen. If it's new, then return it.

It could be 2 things if you see like pink/purple coloring on screen especially on white background that's burn in
Another thing s9+ that i had under display there used to be an option in screen mode i can't remember the name i think it was called Cool or something that gave the screen than pinkish purple hue
Fingerprint working fine
He said he didnt change any screen and we would tell me
Also he had many positive feedbacks on the site that i purchased it
Might be something with purple or red colour settings
