As far as I know ARB is in the fastboot versions, there is ARB=0 in those ROMs, checked, If you have ARB>0 you'll not be able to flash by MiFlash. However you can flash by TWRP but only upgrade, downgrading in TWRP means you can brick in any time. Of course every single ROM flashing in TWRP require to disable Dm-Verity/ForceEncrypt, to avoid bootloops and problems with encryption after unlocking bootloader.

[HELP] G900V-CID11 Toshiba-locked bootloader, looking for 6.0.1 ROM working

Hi all, we are all surrounded here from ROM releases, versions of phones, a moltitude of options. I can't really figure out how to find a rom which can be installed on my phone, by the time I'm waiting for an unclock for CID11.
I've now a BT1 rom sim-locked and SD-not working and I can't use my phone at all. I'm stuck here.
I've rooted it already, waiting for a proper solution.
You may kindly indicate me the steps I've to follow to install the right rom, if I've to use safestrap or chainfire.flash_0.50.apk, and if I've to flash with Odin the bootloader and with which file.
Thank you so much, please add any consideration that you can consider important!

Nah man, im just picking on you. I dont believe there are any custom mm roms for locked bootloaders so far, ressurection remix works with a lp bootloader and its 6.0.1 though. Maybe check that one out. You may have to set your apns manually. I have no real way of knowing if it works on locked bl, i flased with twrp. But if you feel like taking a risk that badly for it, i would try flashfire on pb1 bl and baseband. Good luck!

I'm thinking about trying ressurection remix and i'm wondering if making a backup in lp safestrap would help in the event something goes wrong? or if does happen would I just have to flash the original pb1 rom and re-root and set everything back up again?

As far as I know you should always be able to flash back to at least pb1 and root. Also I myself would try flash fire instead of safestrap because I was never successful with safestrap, only flash fire. And I know the frustration of having a locked bl, as the unlock method has only been out a few months now. Good luck and I hope it works for you!
Well that didn't seem to work. Thank god for backups.

Yes thank God for backups, sorry it didn't work. Did u flash it with flash fire and move wipe to happen before flashing ROM? If you hold the wipe action and move it above the flash it will wipe before flashing, just don't wipe your internal storage that the ROM is on

I flashed 6.0.1 following the thread, thank you.
Sim is unlocked but Verizon keeps bothering me about, anyway it's not a problem.
The problem is that SD doesn't work, I formatted it FAT32 and it's working on PC/other phone, it was working with previous rom.
Have it ever happened to you that after flashing CID11 with BP1 u lost the SD card recognition?
Thank you!

Flashing Any Latest Miui ROM Update Through TWRP

I'm on Miui 8.1 Global version rooted, Unlocked Bootloader ,
can I flash Developers rom through TWRP? Without clean flash? Or Does it require clean flash for flashing developers rom on rooted / unlocked bootloader devices,
If I can dirty flash miui global to miui developers through TWRP, will my data gets deleted or wiped ?

It's always better to clean flash dev ROM if you're on stable ROM

Those are increments.. they can only be flashed through stock or "zcx twrp" which does not exist for our device

No need. Download fastboot rom. Unzip that zip (tgz) file. Go to fastboot mode. Click on flash all except storage. Nothing will get erased. That's better than installing through TWRP

If you're planning to flash incremental OTAs, you should flash the stock recovery. It's easier that way as it takes less data and eases the OTA update process but at the same time you'd end up switching recoveries if you need to flash other custom ROMs

Need Recovery Flashable STOCK ROM

My phone is having issues and i dou t its cuz of the custom rom. I wanna try fixing sumofem by downgrading to stock flashable marshmallow rom or lollipop. So if u guys could help me thats would be great!
I cant flash back to stock by fastboot cuz my bootloader isnt allowing gpt while to be flashed so thats the reason i really need a flashable rom.
Even if i flash back with fastboot. I can only downgradd to 6.0.1 and when i do the camera isnt working alomg with the flashlight.
So fastboot downgrade isnt the option for me. What i need is a stock or only a lilbit modified custom rom based on the stock one.
Thanks in advance

Going back to MIUI

Hi, my device is actually running the latest xiaomi.eu [DEV] ROM, I think it's the 9.4.25. I would like to try AOSP Roms like Aosip, LOS and the others. Can I go back to MIUI after that? I'm asking this because I wouldn't like to lose Stock Camera quality, yeah, I know that GCam exists, but honestly? It's not THAT good, at least with mine settings.
I wouldn't I don't think the unofficial TWRPs are allowing you to go back to official MIUI, but i am not certain of this.
Nobody will answer my questions, and yes i agree gcam does not support our 48mpixel camera so it's useless.
You can revert back to miui,
Download the stock firmware (fastboot) from here, extract it on your computer and then flash it to your phone using "Xiaomi Flash Tool", there is a step by step guide there, just make sure to backup before that.

Can you guide me step by step? I need only the "going back to xiaomi.eu ROM" part

Does VBMETA have to be applied with each rom?

Or is doing this simply a one off if you are coming from a MIUI rom? I am technically adept and have been flashing roms for many years and things are always changing. So I just want to be sure.
Flash it only when you go to custom rom coming from miui stock rom, other than that you don't have to flash it or the vendor when you jump between the other custom roms

So it's kind of like a condom. :good: Thank you!
LOL
Why some custom roms don't need to flash VBMETA ? Even if coming from MIUI ?
you will most likely still need to flash vbmeta after updating your firmware manually.

Ok thx. This coming from MIUI. So I suppose that going back to MIUI' based rom, I need to reflash VBMETA.IMG, right? I take it in the rom ZIP of the MIUI rom, right?
ok to clear this up, vbmeta is only required when going from miui based roms to other custom roms. if u are going to flash a miui based rom, such as .eu, u do not require vbmeta. in fact, since u are going to flash a miui or miui based rom u might as well flash stock miui through fastboot, so there would be no confusion and no additional flashing.
when i was referring to updating firmware manually i meant flashing the firmware packages from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com rather than extracting from the miui recovery rom.

Not every custom rom. Don't need to flash vbmeta e.g. for thelazyindian's LOS, Syberia Project, AEX.
