Is there any custom ROM with scrolling screenshots?
If not what is the best way to move from Open Beta to Stable OxygenOS?

Do you maybe know why it hasn't been implemented in any custom rom? It it just not a requested feature or is it a really complicated feature?
Cause really it's the only thing that's keeping me away from a custom rom.

Idk but maybe cause it's triggered by gestures which are also not there in an OnePlus way hence the screenshot isn't possible

It also works without any gestures just volume down and power then select expanded Screenshot.
Or did I not understand you?

[Request] Camera button

I was wondering if its possible to remap the camera button away from the track ball and to the volume rocker. This will make it easy to take those self portrait pictures with friends than guessing where the shutter button is on the screen.

I believe he means in terms of every single thing working properly, and the speed being up to par with say a stock Nexus One. I thought to myself that I would never switch from HTC Sense.. but the quickness of Cyanogen is just too nice to withdrawal from. Once we literally get the Desire on our phones (you know what I mean), I will go back.
Opening apps just feels so speedy on Cyanogen mod! I really just can't revert... As much as I want to...

As of today is it usable as a main ROM? Also can I install it on top of cm5.0.5.3 or is there some guide that tells us how to go from custom Rom to custom rom?

Nice work; but I thought hoban fixed all of it and it was part of his tainted rom. I could be wrong, but I haven't had any issues using it.
havent used it yet, saw that the zen exp rom was using the one with the broken camera button so i figured id post it here for anyone to grab.

Will this work with all roms? Sprint, Eris, Zen etc?
2.1 roms
and apparently it was the 2.1.3 build that got the rotation bug worked out. so any rom based off the 2.1.3 or ota build will work perfectly with it

Rotation bug? Is that when you rotate it and it splits into like 12 tiny screens, all displaying what should be displayed as one large screen? That bug is present with your fixed Gallery3D apk and ZenEXP-Eris.

too bad i dont actually know what im doing with all this, otherwise im sure i could find what in v3 made it work. maybe someone a little more wise in the way of the droid could figure out what causes the fix so it can be added to the ported roms.
and im sure you already know this, but a work around for the rotation bug is just to switch orientation before you open the app. the only time there is an issue is when the orientation is changed within the app itself

[Q] Can an Android ROM be made this way ?

Greetings,
The one thing I have seen a lot of people complain here is about the hard keys on our phone wearing out. This is one of the major issues and i face the same problem. On Windows Mobile I rarely use the Hard Keys but on Android they are really used a lot. So my question to all you talented developers out there is..Cant a ROM be made specially for our HD2 with a soft key panel built into the screen ? which is available all the time !!
I know there are some third party apps like Buttonsavior...etc...but its not something which is as flexible as the soft keys in other phones....I have attached a screenshot to express what I mean.
isn't that what tablet tweaks from cm7 attempts to do? haven't seen if they work, personally.

Try the app zmooth - it is on the Android Market * HERE *. You will never need to use the hardware keys apart form the volume and End/Power key.

This is something that is a native feature of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. So check the ICS ROMs and see if the ROM developer has turned it off or left it as a option for the user to decide. Also I know this ROM has it as a option.
Yea, as stated above softkeys in themselves are/can be present in all the ics as standard as the feature ics nexus itself doesn't have any hardware buttons (that i recall).
When I first read your question I thought you were enquiring about if the soft button panel could be present regardless of the state i.e when screen is off, which isn't done. In terms of being able to totally disregard the hard buttons there are proximity sensor apps (as well as some sound apps) that can be utilised to wake the device from sleep, I've used proximity screen off which works well, although i can't report as to using it affects battery life.

I do not think you can do this with a Gingerbread ROM because the onscreen buttons are not part of Gingerbread. But if you want to you can always try it and see what you can come up with. Also it is several launchers for Gingerbread that will give you the onscreen buttons, but I do not think they work with all apps.

What I miss from my Samsung S6 Edge+ and how can I fix these shortcomings

1. Screen brightness under sunlight: the S6 was a lot brighter thanks to a special setting enhancing colors, the Nexus is barely readable.
2. Camera software: S6 wins hands down here, on Nexus don't even have exposure compensation.
3. Headphones volume: Nexus is too low.
4. Notification sounds with headphones: the S6 was ringing from main speaker, the Nexus barely emits a sound in headphones, so you may miss notification when headphones are plugged in but non on your hear.

1. I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.hbmwidget but you need to be rooted. Got root?
2. I find HDR+ to be okay with exposure but I'm not a big camera type of person.
3. Can't really comment.
4. See number 3
Not rooted yet, waiting for Android N
U should root your phone.. after that with the apk https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.hbmwidget and a custom Kernel u will have a bettern one than ur s6
PS: I don't get why u r waiting "n"
OK will root.
Just wanted to wait to upgrade to N to avoid upgrade problems
There's a tut for headphone volume.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/boost-headset-volume-t3237661/page2
Also there is a free app that gets used with elementalx kernel that works great for brightness and can be found here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/themes-apps/ultra-brightness-mode-elementalx-t3281649
As stated in previous post, you will need root for both.

I read that as only being a fix for rooted phones and I'm all aboyt the flashing stuff, so I can see how he could have thought so as well/ assumed it wouldn't be of any help in his case/ didn't bother to click the link.
That being said, I have no clue why someone would not root their 6p when it would solve 3/4 of the things they dislike about it. It's like a ten minute process max and is utterly devoid of risk or effort lol
I am rooted now.
I installed the widget.

I don't believe so but High Brightness Mode widget is one of the main reasons I have root and the only reason I run a custom kernel.
And the widget works as advertised.
I use ElementalX with Tasker to achieve high brightness mode. Don't need the widget.

I dont have a comparison but i use HBM and its essential for me to see the screen in sunlight.
Also theres a nifty tasker tutorial somewhere on xda i used and it automatically triggers HBM when light reaches a certain point. Do a search if youre interested. If you cant find it let me know and Ill see if i can find it. More convenient than a widget and it doesnt add clutter.

btw my is really slow right ?
i found one funny issue with my pie control, if i open pie control in any screen other than home screen, it work perfectly but in home screen it take few second to load, any one have idea what it cause ?
I am actually taking back my recommendation on this app...
more than once I have had it kind of "take over" my screen.
What I mean is, any touch on my screen is attempting to touch something in PIE control (and not actually graphically showing PIE control, btw).
you effectively can't do anything at that point.
Its been a few days since I stopped using it, but I really did pretty exhaustively try to figure out how to stop this.
I really liked this app's "swipe" method instead of pulling the PIE out and having to like hold on a button for a quick sec, this app lets you do it in a smooth swiping motion.
Anyways, ive given up and gone back to onscreen navigation keys.
Every method I have tried (including XDA's navigation) has had some small hangups that eventually have problems working.
And no I haven't reported errors and such in respective threads, I just give up because my "lots of effort into having a hacky phone" days are behind me
