[Q] SM-9006v - Using on t-mobile

Hi,
I just purchased a Galaxy s5 sm-g9006v. This is the chinese unicon Samsung galaxy s5. It's unlocked.
I have a t-mobile sim. The phone works fine but the only problem is that it's only running 2g speeds! and i've been reading and i think it's a problem with the bands the phone is working on.
I've also been reading about changing the firm-ware modem but I need a little help.
My question :
Can I change the bands that my phone is using to t-mobile compatible bands to run hspa+ or lte or 4g ?
If so, is it as simple as flashing flashing t-mobile firmware from sammobile (sm-g900t) to my phone via odin?
And if I can fix it without having to flash the whole original firmware by just flashing the modem (which is 5mb), where can i get the modem for that firmware and how do I flash it alone ?
Thank you

[Q] Signal Issue on N9100

I am having signal issues with the n9100 (china mobile). Currently I am in Canada on Rogers network. I have rooted the phone and currently using a custom Rom (Aurora). The firmware is on 5.1.1 and baseband is on the latest. I do get 4G signal but it gets weak when I am inside my house and usually is in Edge mode. The signal was decent when I was in China. I am sure its a modem issue, but is it possible to install a rogers modem onto this without bricking (probably lose dual sim but thats ok)? If not, is there a fix? Can I force my phone to use a certain frequency/band that Rogers uses and see if that helps?

Which FM for a bloat-free, unrestricted Nougat? G930V Verizon, using it in China thou

I have some what of a unique issue, so I would really appreciate some help. Here is what lead me to where I am now.
1. I got the phone in Hong Kong, however, the seller said it was from USA, it says Verizon on the back.
2. It was on 6.01 G930VVRS4APH but there was no Verizon bloat when I got it. (strange right?)
3. The private mode did not work when I got it, so I used Odin to flash Nougat G930VVRU4BQA2
4. Now private mode works, but now I have Verizon bloat, not so great battery life and low signal most of the time.
So I assuming it's because I am using a Verizon firmware in China, that the signal keeps searching for a Verizon SIM or USA bands and it drains the battery. Yes I am using "global" mode in network options.
So at this point what I would like to do is get a stock Nougat experience for an "international" (all radio bands are active) unlocked firmware (not tied to any mobile carrier)
Which firmware should I use? And will it trip knox? I was thinking the G930U, but there is no Nougat for that version yet. Is my best bet to flash the G930U Marshmallow for now to hopefully get good signal and battery again and then update to Nougat when the official firmware is released?
Thank you so much.

Please help me, can't use other carrier sim on G930V

Hi guys, last night I trade in my S6 for S7.
That guy told me the phone is sim unlocked, I just need to manually adding APN and it will work. I am too stupid not to try with my sim.
I am in Malaysia, S7 variant should be G930F, but it's G930V, I tried two different carriers with manually input APN but the signal icon still blank with a cross:crying:
Besides, whenever I change network mode, it will revert to Global.
I can't select network operator too.
Is there any method to get it works with my local carrier? Flash rom from G930V to G930U or change IMEI will works?
flash "u" rom marshamallow..

Flash the "U" unlocked firmware on it. Looks like the phone is locked to Verizon. I would strongly recommend against changing the IMEI because that can add a lot of unnecessary complications.

Can I flash official nougat rom?
Any additional step or modification needed?
I see there are many firmware for different CSC such as XAA, TMK and etc. Which one is cleanest and works better for GSM network?
Currently on Verizon Offiicial Nougat 7.0 G930VVRU4BQC5
phones out of country with other networks, and att USA since note 2 came out.
I currently have s7 too and it travelled with me out of country as well no problems, I get 4g in most places, if not 3g until I can get to fast WiFi.
Ur carrier data bands must not be matching or phones damaged, in my expert opinion.
Once u put other carriers sim u either request carrier to send u apn via text msg where u just open it and it gives u option to save it.
Or the Sim itself will/should have those settings in it. And upon inserting sim then going to where apns are added, u may be able to select it.
A quick Google of bands of ur network can tell u, but I'm optimistic only a very few bands are missing off g930v/g935v
Edit: Yes Verizon phones work on gsm in global mode
There is another option in there LTE/GSM/UMTS
U will have to experiment between global or the one above mentioned, does the trick for me all the time

Is it possible to flash T-Mobile firmware from a generic firmware (XAA)

I had a AT&T S8+, however I thought I didnt get updates so I flashed it to XAA firmware. However, my mobile data was very slow and I am deciding to flash T-Mobile firmware to get 4G LTE. However, I am anxious that my phone will network lock my sim (MetroPCS). Can anyone tell me if it is safe to reflash back from SM-G955U1 to SM-G955U
Nvm I did the same thing to my former S7 Edge, so I did and now I enjoy video call
