Android Q - Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I don't have black shark 2, but i am thinking to buy one.
I sent email to support regarding updating the device to android Q in the future
And i got this response
Hi,
Thanks for reaching out , we are more happy to help you .
Black shark is already android Q version now .
Best Regard,
Black Shark Global
Is that true?, i know android Q still in beta, so i am confused.

That is absolutely ridiculous! Haha. If they're pertaining to Black Shark, Black Shark Helo, or Black Shark 2, that is in no way true. Their team can't even provide reliable and stable updates to Black Shark 2. Their support team is also d*mb. So yeah, it's just a mistake.

[Q] White theme - ATT Galaxy s4

Hi Guys,
Wanted to thank all the developers for their hard work in bringing us a a lot of new ROMs. Is there any way we can have a white themed ROM (instead of black background) for AT&T Galaxy S4. I am not a big fan of IPhone , but the white background looks and feels awesome in IOS7 . Would any developer be able to spend some time to do that ?
Please let me know if i have to post this somewhere else to request a new ROM .
Thank you so much .

Why no activity!

I hope I'm not being disrespectful to anyone but how come no Dev love here!
I mean this is a wonderful device, made for Global market and a marvel in build
quality and design, IMHO.
Actually they are not source available for the Note 2
So we can't put LineageOS on it. Another problem, the Mi Mix. Everyone prefer the Mix to the Mi Note 2. So, a lot of dev will go to the Mix.
If Xiaomi put the kernel source of the Mi Note 2, I will try to dev LineageOS (not sure).
Thank you for replying back.
I was afraid you'd say "mi mix"! Also your comments do give me a little hope but
I'm in a position of being able to sell my device for almost no lost and to be honest I'm leaning toward that decision !
I actually like the preinstalled ROM. It's not Android 7, but one of the best Android 7 ROM's I've seen.
I'm also disappointed with the lack of interest in this phone. I thought it was supposed to be a flagship.

Bye Redmi 2 forum!!!

I'm changing my device to a Redmi 4x, so i'm no longer supporting redmi 2 officially, if anyone need help on something kernel related you can send me a message in PM

Why developers on xda not porting pixel 3 camera app for Mi A1

Front camera photos showing green tint on all pixel 3 camera ports.
@SerJo87 owns Mi A1 and had released a couple of mods but recently he has gone silent (or maybe he is just busy). We need to wait for new updates.

Is Black Shark pro 2 12 /256gb Global version Developer Friendly

Hello Everyone,
I want to know If Black Shark pro 2 12 /256gb Is developer friendly or not.
I am not a developer but Can be considered advanced user. I want to know if Black Shark pro 2 12 /256gb Variant is Developer Friendly like rooting, Installing Twrp, Will I be able to do stock updates without losing twrp and rooting, Switching to custom Roms in future (Option should be available).
I am coming from redmi note 4 SD version So buying this phone will be a big purchase for me and if I purchase it I don't want any problems for next 3-4 years either Hardware or software related.
I will be using Black Shark pro 2 very very less for gaming but mostly for other heavy apps and lot of multi tasking. I want to know if BS pro 2 will be good for this.
I will be using this phone in India but it will be purchased outside India. After searching Internet I see I will not get warranty also.
Any help is highly Appreciated.
Thanks In Advance

Developer friendly no, there is no kernel source code, even official BlackShark forum is removed from site so again big no for custom roms or recoveries.
And as for other things, go for it. It is a beast of device, it will successfully solve any task you throw at it.

Thanks a lot for replying. Really Appreciate it.
I am really frustrated. I want to know if I will not even get Twrp and rooting and Titanium Backup in BS pro 2 12/256gb Global version.
Twrp has saved my RN4 many times from 1-2 times bricked and many times from bootloop.
Realme x2 pro mobile 12/256gb is also not developer friendly nor is Asus rog 2 12gb/256gb.
Tried a lot to get K20 Pro 12 gb ram 512gb premium edition now Xiaomi Mi 9t pro 12gb/512gb. I hear its one of the favourites here at Xda.
Any good phone in $400-500 range with 12gb ram 256gb or 512gb memory and good processor like 855+ or better and developer friendly with forum support.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Best Wishes
