Need help flashing firmware to my AT&T Galaxy S8 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions & Answers

I had to factory reset my S8 from AT&T, and when I turned it on, it wanted my email password which I cant remember. So I bypassed the FRP, and when I tried installing a new firmware, I got stuck on the AT&T logo. My problem is that I couldn't find the G950USQSDSE5 firmware that my phone was using online. So I used a different firmware. Can anyone provide me a download link to firmware that will work on my phone, or tell me how to fix this? This is my first time owning a Galaxy phone. In the past, I always had a Nexus so I'm unfamiliar with these phones.

Rooting Problem

I purchased an AT&T GSM phone unlocked and I use Straightalk as my wireless carrier. I have rooted before and used the newest version of Odin. I downloaded the the proper file for root "G928A_Kernel_Root_5.1.1_Samfirm.net.tar.md5." My phone model Is SAMSUNG-SM-G928A. It's the one everyone else used. Odin flashed it fine. It passed and the phone restarted. Problem is the phone is not rooted, but I have the problems that come with the initial root. Wifi passwords don't save and the annoying message "Unauthorized actions have been detected". Since the phone is not rooted I can't fix these problems because I don't have permissions. My next step was just to flash the stock firmware but I can't find it anywhere. Can anyone help me either tell me how to truly root the phone (I re-flashed the file 3 times) or tell where I can download the stock Firmware? I called AT&T and they told me to call Best Buy and Best Buy can't help me.
Thanks

Bricked AT&T GALAXY S6 EDGE PLUS

I was trying to root my at&t s6 edge+ using Odin. As soon as the process completed, my phone froze on Samsung screen. Then I tried wiping cache and data but nothing worked. I downloaded few stock ROM for Odin but flashing keeps on failing. I read in some thread that new Samsung devices do not support downgrading. I went and checked my current build number and found that to be G928AUCS4CPK1. However, the firmware I was trying to flash were older version.
Has anyone experienced similar issue before? The main problem here is I cannot find the exact build number anywhere. I spent a lot of time searching and finally decided to post here.
Your valuable suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
hey man, you flashed an older version of the firmware? even if it wasnt bricked, your phone is essentially useless now. the efs is gone, meaning you cant make phonecalls or connect to wifi at all. sorry; your phone is bricked. perm.
download mode dosen`t work ?if so the only thing you can try is to use samsung kies to restore your phone but don`t know if that works
I done something similar to my standard S6 Edge the only difference was i was able to start it up ok and i thought everything was ok until i realised i had no reception. I so happened to notice my imei number was gone. I had no back ups of the partition that saved this info so i totally bricked my phone.
I did however find a website that would be able to do a work around ( for a fee of course) for it however it does question your morals as its essentially illegal in alot of countries. I dont want to post anything on here so if you want any info send me a PM.
Exact same thing happened to me... went to AT&T repair center but they didn't have the 'K1' firmware..
anyhow managed to find the latest firmware (gsm-firmware.com)... cost me $4, but the phone is up and running... I only flashed the AP file.. also used Odin 3.12.5..

Galaxy On5 sm-s550t stuck at frp

So I've searched around the past few hours and can't seem to find a solution to my issue. I have a friend that is currently down on his luck and staying at a homeless shelter, he bought this phone because phones are pretty much a necessity nowadays, samsung galaxy on5, trouble is that the phone was locked when he turned it on so he was stuck with a paperweight, it's been a long time since I tinkered with phones but I figured I could help him out by booting into recovery and doing a factory reset. I had no idea about samsung factory reset protection and now were back to paperweight mode. I downloaded jodin3 and heimdall, but it never shows as connected. Can I root the phone while in recovery or load the factory rom so I can get the phone working again? Thanks for any help.
No, the only options are either ordering a remote unlocking service or find a guide on YouTube. The YouTube way will involve some patience and trial and error. Many guides don't specify what update on the phone they are working on and/or will state that their particular method works for EVERY phone. The stock recovery will tell you what update that it is on by the build number. This might help pinpoint which method to work.
FRP = Google Factory Reset Protection
Samsung Reactivation Lock is a different beast.
Which one does the phone have?

Galaxy S8 bootloop fix (ODIN, Smart Switch not working)

Hello everyone,
I know this is a topic that had already been widely discussed but none of the suggested fixes were able to solve my issue. I also was not able to post this into the recoveries forum thread as I have just made a new account and I do not have the permission to do so.
My galaxy s8 is now stuck in a bootloop on the Glalaxy S8 screen and it does not progress from there. I can access the download mode but that is about it. I am not sure how this happened as it was fine one night and then i put it in my pocket, and when I pulled it out the next morning, it was stuck in this bootloop.
I am overseas currently, and so unfortunately I am not covered by the local Samsung warranty, else I would have gone through them.
I have tried flashing the firmware which I downloaded from Sammobile, including the BL, AP, CP & CSC which has not worked. I tried using Smart Switch which does download and re-flash the software, but in both situations, my phone still remains bootlooped.
I am not sure if I am doing anything wrong in these steps. Please let me know if there are any other solutions I can try to get my phone working again.
Much appreciated!!!

S8 service provider update endless loop

Hi Guys
Newbie here on Xda, so go easy.
I've got 2 s8's (one verizon and other is sprint) - both have been flashed to the U1 firmware successfully.
Have a bit of an issue with the above problem. Everytime a new network sim card is inserted, phone goes into a bootloop after the "service provider update"
Currenty on u1 firmware, have tried to flash back to stock firmware (Verizon and other unit on sprint). This seems to stop the bootloop, but can't get any OTA's.
Have no idea if phone was previously rooted and unsure on how to check this
But ideally looking for a solution to get rid of this bootloop on the U1 firmware.
Have tried searching around the forums and google, but either i'm blind or not much information on this issue
Really appreciate the help on this, stuck with the device that needs to be used
Im having same issue
Hopinng you found a solution or walkaround... Anything that can help me as i have tried all i cam think of. I do have safestrap so if i can just remove a file or apk i just need to know exacly which one to remove.
