Are All Xiaomi Mi 9Ts (not K20) Global w/ Multi-langs & Play Store Factory Installed? - Redmi K20 / Xiaomi Mi 9T Questions & Answers

Are All Xiaomi Mi 9Ts (not K20) Global w/ Multi-langs & Play Store Factory Installed?
Are all Xiaomi Mi 9T phones (not K20) global with multiple languages and Google Play Store factory installed? Or are there some Chinese Xiaomi Mi 9T phones with only English and Chinese without Google Play Store? I bought a 6GB/128GB one from this seller on AliExpress a couple of day's ago for $336 USD ($30 off now gone) and it said it was the global version. And all the pics were of the Xiaomi Mi 9T, not the Redmi K20.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33029802366.html
It said under FAQ:
1. Is Xiaomi Global Version Xiaomi Mi 9T (REDMI K20 ) in Stock Now?(You will get the Global Version Xiaomi Mi 9T (REDMI K20 )Xiaomi Mi 9T (REDMI K20 ) in Stock Now
2. What version do you sell for? It's Global version. The model name on the box is Xiaomi Global Version Xiaomi Mi 9T (REDMI K20 ).
3. Does it have multi-language and Google Play? For Global version Xiaomi Mi 9T (REDMI K20 ). it's Global version. it has multi-language and Google play ,OTA update
Then that info was deleted yesterday.
But later it said and still says:
3. Please leave us a comment if you want a sealed box. Otherwise we will unseal the box to do "Quality Control" and flash the multi-language ROM for the Chinese version. The original box from manufacturer is sealed. It's only with English and without "Play Store".
4. Newer ROMs might have minor bugs, please be understandable as we have no control over this. Especially new models are prone to minor bugs.
5. Please double check if the phone works with your carrier. It is very important! But then gave a link to a site that didn't include this phone.
So it's a bit confusing. Haven't been able to connect with the seller to clarify this. Tried cancelling this order but it didn't happen yet. And if it is the factory global version I'd let it go through. I live in the United States so need the extra frequency bands of a true global version to work with my carrier, not one with flashed multi-languages and Google Play Store added and limited frequency bands.
Thanks

I'm still trying to decide whether I want to cancel this order. I could just wait for the Mi 9T Pro in the next few months. That of course will be more expensive but does have a few better features. I'll see how it all plays out. If they don't cancel it and send it I can just resell it if I decide to as I got a great price on it.

First of all, the real Xiaomi Mi 9T comes with Google services (so playstore, etc) and has multi language support.
But what some resellers do, is get an K20 and flash a global rom on it. But then you'll still have the Redmi logo on the back. So before you order you'd better ask if it's really a Mi 9T (Xiaomi branding on the back of the phone). If not you'll properly end up with a redmi k20 running a global rom, and then you won't have band 20 for 4G.

Thanks. Yeah I understand all of that. In my questions to the seller I discussed all of that. But they haven't responded yet. Plus I already bought it and paid for it but it hasn't been shipped yet. I think now what might be happening is they were flashing a global multi-language ROM and adding Play Store to K20's before Mi 9T came out. But they left that in the description. But not sure why they removed all the description about it being a global version the day after I bought it. All the photos show the Mi 9T and someone who bought it showed the Mi 9T box in their review.

Just told the seller who hasn't read or responded to any of my messages yet:
"If this doesn't say "Mi" on the back of the phone, and if it doesn't come in a black box and say Mi 9T on the front of the box and Mi 9T Glacier Blue 6GB RAM 128GB ROM on the end of the box, then please cancel my order and refund my money. If it does come in a black box and say all of those things then we can complete this sale and you can please send it to me. But please don't open the box. Thanks very much. "

Ok, if the reviews show the 9T then you'll properly be fine
Enjoy the phone

I'm using a 128gb on Three UK and can confirm volte is working out of the box

I bought from the same Seller and have also failed to get a response to messages or been able to cancel. First time buying on AliExpress and my last.

I have ordered from this seller several times, phones has been real global versions. Do expect some time before they are shipped, once I had to wait 3 weeks for the phone to be shipped.

I have the authentic 9T. Yes it came sealed and the box itself looks differently as compare to the K20 version. 9T came with a grey box with the photo of the 9T's front view. The K20 has no photos, with a black box and pick Chars that written "K20" on it. It is hard for them to reprint another box (plus the IMEI for each phone), too much hassles for them.

I'm opening right now my Global Mi9t , I'm from Mexico , updating the system right now , yes it comes with Google apps , and xiaomi bloatware lol , I'll wait a little until a good tool does all the work , so gonna stay stock for some months

has anyone bought a RedMi 3s from Aliexpress in India?? share the experience.

I want to upgrade from RedMi 1S to RedMi 3s Prime, but I don't have the patience or the strength to buy it from Flipkart thanks to the flash deals(RedMi 1s experience was enough). So I am considering getting one from Aliexpress.I know the I'll be paying more but I am OK with it.
Is it a good idea?, how long does it take to get delivered?
Why don't you try gearbest?

I bought a redmi 3s prime from aliexpress but was from China ( I'm in UK ) . Reason being was that the seller stocked the international version which has band 20 which is needed for some UK networks. Also, the rom was official global version and updated ota without problem. Beware some sellers who will put an unofficial rom on the phone which can't be updated unless you flash the right rom ( can be a tricky process ) . These ' vendor ' roms can also contain malware which can push loads of ads.

Is it better than Aliexpress? I don't know much about both of them. This will be my first experience buying a phone from a site like that.

No problems at all, sealed in box. The seller was called Xiaomi authorized dealer, not sure if it's true that they're Xiaomi authorized or not, but all OK and delivery was less than 2 weeks which ain't bad for standard free shipping from China.

The official website did sell the global version and sold out quite immediately. I had tried to buy through the website, didn't got it, but I believe the stock must be very limited. So the seller might be one of the lucky one. However with limited stock I think the price will be quite high

I came across one the other day. It's the real thing. ROMs are a bit tricky for it though.
I've already received it. I'm in Germany and ordered via Gearbest.
Is this the cheapest option right now for the global 128GB version? €400 excl customs. http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/...251.html?wid=4

Where to buy mi a1 in India

i am looking forward to buy a mi a1 . I am from india . I want to buy a black varient . I want to know a good place to buy mi a1 as most ppl are saying that they are receiving already used mobiles from flipkart and they are not even accepting damaged items though they have return policy . Has anyone bought the device directly from mi online store . Plz help me out as i want to buy this device as soon as possible. And also this is my first android phone and i dont want to buy a defective device

Global version is out already ??

In case some if you already saw this video
https://youtu.be/0-b-gmuKOIM
Honorbuy mobile shop is already offering the global version. Unfortunately just in black and just the 4 GB option.
The question is, if this website got the global version already, why aren't we seeing it on bigger and more known ones (like aliexpress, cect shop, tradingshenzhen, etc..)
What do you guys think?
The phone is released in HK & Singapore if I am not wrong (or about to get released in SP). So there is a global version floating around the markets.
HB was also the first EU dealer to have the CN version in their EU Warehouse. Those guys are fast.

Had terrible experience with Mi Global Store on AliExpress and Gearbest; I ended up canceling both before going with TradingShenzhen. I trust TradingShenzhen, WondaMobile, and Gearbest because of their reliability and consistency.
becareful with ali, those marked global version might be global rom. i prefer those saying presale seen more real. also i m doubt there are global version with xiaomi.eu rom, that is not global version!!!

Appreciate the help. But WondaMobile and gearbest are selling the mi max 3 too costly.
I wanna make sure I get the official global rom that can be rooted without any problems. Also, theres something call antirollback. Is this a good thing to have on the phone?

Chinese version... Global version... They are all the same in different box and charger plug maybe. Why would you care about the rom... Flash and use whatever you want...
I bet everyone is buying Xiaomi products not for the software but for the reasonably/cheap priced hardware.

rumors saying the global rom ali is selling is fake global rom that may damage phone, also giving user trouble flashing official rom. i cant confirm if it is true, but i wont risk it.

The key word here is RUMORS coming from MIUI forums... Since when official MIUI forum had any credibility!? It's like middle east market over there - everybody tallks, nobody listens... Not to mention thair moderators which have no idea what is going on behind the Xiaomi's doors but act like insiders...
Fake? Maybe... You could say the same for the 9.6.6 one as well which is straight from Xiaomi's servers and has the same mobile data issues like the "fake" 9.6.4 one.
Damaging phone? Comm on...!? Problems flashing roms is mainly(if not all) user's errors.
Anyway... I get what you are saying and respect that...
Ordered what I thought was China version last Sunday from eBay, shipped Monday from Texas, got it today(Friday)... genuine GLOBAL VERSION, factory sealed with locked bootloader, complimentary US plug adapter... Go figure...

I usually buy from nvsrp. But I wanted the 6gb/128gb Chinese version which is only available at the time from Trading Shenzhen. But all other phones I buy from him on eBay. I bought my mi Max 2 4gb/64gb and 4gb/128gb both global rom from him. If I could not get the mi Max 3 I was contemplating a Nokia 7 plus, but Trading Shenzhen came thru. My two cents.

Difference between chinese and global variant

Just ordered the 6t from aliexpress, and now I've noticed that they started selling global variants of the 6t on aliexpress (same seller).
Does anyone know the difference between them?
Most probably the frequency bands

You may have ordered a OnePlus 6T with Hydrogen OS, which is what's used in China.
The rest of the world gets Oxygen OS.
https://www.oneplus.com/cn/6t/specs
You may be able convert yours to the OOS version, but, if it were me, I'd cancel the order & buy direct from OnePlus outside of China, or if you still need to buy from AliExpress, find a seller who can verify the exact model they're selling.

Thanks, just did a little search and apparently it comes with global firmware and the global versions cost more for some reason (the only place where I can get a oneplus device in my country is through aliepress).
