Good with my Meizu 16s I cover the sensor of the rear camera above and I see that it does not affect at all, I only see that the 48mpx works, does anyone know why? Thank you

Hi. Actually, I am in the same boat. Can't see the telephoto lens in use. BTW, I'm om chinese rom v8.20.3.26 beta, which is the latest I guess. Also, GCam 6.1.021-MI8-V2e can't use/see it neither. Any help on how to make it work would be greatly appreciated.

For everyone who is in doubt: the secondary camera is there, it's not fake, and it works. I don't know why Meizu intentionally blocks access to it, moreover, no app was able to detect it at hardware level neither. Until now! So if you want to use the secondary camera, install this Gcam mod, and in the settings, add/enable the telephoto lens(secondary cam). Works like a charm!! The exact version that is working for me is: GCam 7.3.018 by Urnyx05 Version 2.1, edited by Wichaya V2.7. It is reportedly works on the 16xs as well.
Edit: Since I'm using rarely my phone to take pictures, I did not realized that before. In PRO mode, in the official camera app, there IS, the possibility, to change/use the secondary camera. Still, what I said above, holds true. Also, the latest update from the same modder (Wichaya) works just as well. Good luck!

I'm not super picky, but things look fine to me; if you look at them on a computer at full size they're a little noisy but since I'm only really interested in quick snapshots it's good for me. I'd attach examples, but I guess there's a minimum post count for that or something.

Anyone having issues with the camera app crashing after taking first pic? bloody annoying.
I think it's crashed once for me, maybe, but nothing repeated or predictable.
It's acceptable 21:9 ?
4:3 style

There was an update that came out this week, 53.0.A.4.114. Not sure if it fixed the issue yet or not but will test it out for a few day to find out. If gtg than this will be a near perfect device for my needs.

Its not too bad for the price. Quality comparable to my LG G5. If you feel that the photo quality is bad, give Google Camera mods a try.

Picture taken with Gcam
I've got some good decent photo in daylight, also in low light in close range
Photos are clearly better than iPhone 8 and Samsung note 8 due to huge sensor. Low light is also good. Video quality also alright but not as good as iPhone anyway due to lack of optical stabilization. The lens aperture at f/1.9 is restricting this phone a bit at night time shooting sometimes but Using latest GCam by wyroczen, pics can be stunning.
Very bad photo quality even with gcam (heavy wrong color). Don't buy this phone if you focus on camera quality
it has nice quality overall, it's obvious you have to use gcam, xiaomi's photo app sucks. Overall good looking pictures

Yes of course , I bought a mi a3 and I ain't know that it is based on pure Android so I sold it because I am mad of MIUI , then I bought a RN8 4,64 , but I unfortunately it was stolen after about 15 days , at last I bought RN8 PRO about 3 weeks ago ، so I have tested all of these 3 devices and my idea is RN8 PRO is the best , and it is better than Samsung A series (all models)

Low quality unless you install another app, the default app even doesn't use the full resolution to take a picture.

I can definitely answer this one. The moto camera app is very very bad. At least for the front camera, it destroys photos with noise and blur. It is in really bad shape and I got a significantly better results using Gcam. I felt the need to inform you guys about this. Mind the front camera, it's worse than g7 plus, it's worth saying it doesn't record in 4k. I'm very upset by this. And it seems it's hardware
Try the GCam! The pics are much much better than with the stock camera app

Generally very underwhelmed by the quality of the camera. Coming from a P20 Pro, the Nord photos seem softer, less detailed and the background blur far less accurate. They just aren't as nice to look at overall.

agree, waiting for a good gcam version with matching xml file to see if things improve enough, but first results are not looking that promising. To be fair, Pixel phones have spoiled me...

It doesn't seem like this is a hardware problem - the main sensor is very capable, but the software is really letting it down. Lets hope it improves with time.
I think this phone has a good "quality vs price" . the OP Nord is twice cheaper than Mi 9 T Pro , or P20 Pro on his launch.
It cannot be compared to them.

Why have a 48mp camera without zoom in. You then have to mess around with crop and zoom. Crappy oneplus software GCam the same
for me, nord pictures are terrible, coming from pixel 2 xl.
everything is boosted, contrast, highlights, and exposure.
they are pain in the eyes
Coming from op5t i'm impressed. Photo and video quallity, options and functionality are much better. With the gcam mod main camera photos are even better. Now if we want to be be fair we have to compare it's camera with the rest midrange devices of 2020 and from what i've read and watched Nord's camera is on top...
