Huawei Y7 2019 [DUB-LX3] Updates and custom ROMs - Huawei Y7 2019 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other

Hi guys,
Is there any custom ROM for the Huawei Y7 2019?. I think this phone should have a thread too.
Any news, comment or idea about when will be the EMUI 9 (Android 9: Pie) update arriving to this phone?.
Any of you guys, have already the EMUI 9 running on this model? I read that Huawei is testing/releasing this version but just in China (i dont have any idea why). An comment from you about this guys?
Thanks in advance and i hope this thread will be helpful for many of us.
Peace ✌?

No updates , not anymore, I don't think that someone will try to root this phone... Bootloader is too hard to unlock. So , no root , no roms...

I think i saw a video showing how to unlock the bootloader but i don't even tried it. I am thinking on sell this phone, seriously man. What a waste of time and money. Get back to Samsung definitely.

Y7 2018 model is not so different from 2019 model, better CPU (SnapDragon 430 vs 450), double ram and better selfie camera. So the same custom roms (8.1/9.0) could work on 2019, since kernel/ramdisk/vendor remain to untouched. Look for Project Treble or custom roms for Y6 2018.
2019 model is ALREADY unlocked and rooted on MoS. It worth pay 4$ for unlocking!

Any news? I really want to change the UI of this phone, it's just ugly.

Huawei's ****ty Bootloader System
Hello i was a fan of the Huawei P8 Lite because such a great phone. Being Very happy with the P8 Lite i decided to get the Huawei Y7 Prime 2018.I got very dissapointed when i found out that the forum that showed you your phone's code no longer worked. Eventually i sold that piece of sh*t Y7 and got a Xiaomi phone which serves me very well and has plenty of roms.. My advice for you as a former Huawei Fan is to sell tyhat phone and get a new Xiaomi or Samsung..
Thanks for your time, hope i helped:good:

Actually it can be unlocked, but it get full bricked after the next reboot. So no way nowadays
Would be awesome if we could get CM or other developers cooking custom rom for this phone...
Until factory doesn't give source code which won't happen look's like soon, no custom ROM's will come. That's sad because phones with custom ROM possibility are much more popular and they are selling much better, until Meizu understand that we need to wait.
It's the same story as in computer games, games with available customization (mods - addons) are much more popular than games without.

This option allows you to unlock the bootloader from fastboot mode. Type there "fastboot oem unlock" or if it isn't works, type "fastboot flashing unlock". BUT THIS METHOD CAN BRICK YOUR DEVICE! USE IT ON YOUR OWN RISK!!
If meizu provides the kernel sources ,I will start making CM roms for m2 note ,but I did contact meizu to give me kernel sources but they claimed they don't know any thing about that
Dear Sir/Madam,

[NEWS] Conversion/Rebrand between Chinese & Int'l Models is Possible w/ Unlocked BL.

[NEWS] Conversion/Rebrand between Chinese & Int'l Models is Possible w/ Unlocked BL.
Hello everyone.
After some experimentation yesterday, and with @Tkkg1994 being kind enough to provide me with the oeminfo from his European model, I can confirm that it is possible to rebrand/convert from the various models of the Mate 9.
My Mate 9 is MHA-AL00C00, but it is now fully converted into a MHA-L29C432, and is running as such with no problems.
There are a few steps involved in this, however, and it's not as simple as just flashing the oeminfo, because there is a difference in the system partition. So this will be another feature of the solution I'm working on.
If there is anyone who has their bootloader unlocked and would like to be a beta tester of conversion/rebranding to a different model, please send me a PM.
Otherwise, please wait a while and a stable solution will be made available! Again, in order to fully convert, you need an unlocked bootloader so get your code from Huawei if you haven't already.
is it possible to back to locked bootloader? my was MHA-L29C636 will ask huawei for unlock code today. will let you know when i'm get the code.
Ok sound good's, do u think it's possible to get a MHA-L09 to L29 ?
When looking in the tray it seem's to have connectors for second sim

The hardware is the same, but I think it has only one IMEI so it won't be possible to put two sims.

We have already tested. The second IMEI shows up at 00000000000000
Once there's a tool to restore IMEI, it might be possible, but illegal in some places, to change that IMEI to something else.

If a tool is available in a next future, it could be possible to use an imei code of an old phone maybe
But still need the tray to put second sim inside.
Sounds like just what I'm looking for

LON-29, looking at root guide as well.
LON-L29 root also
Hi!
I'm lining up for instructions on how to root LON-L29. Just got the device today and all of my previous androids were rooted.
Current setup is firmware C432B139 all stock, bootloader not unlocked.
Anyone tried this?
It is unofficial TWRP for LON-L29 international

Seems too unstable/unreliable. Can't risk it that much, I use my phone for work so it has to be a stable root without too much risks when rooting. So far I've found rooting guides/unofficial twrp's for mate 9,but mate 9 pro doesn't have ext sd slots and seems that the file system is encrypted and twrp doesn't support it yet.
Just have to manage without root for a while. XDA is filled with excellent devs and I'm sure someone figures this out. I'm not that capable, only good at following instructions

Boot loader unlock

I guess it may be too early to know, but does anyone know if the boot loader will be unlockable on the US version? I know it doesn't release until mid July. I'm contemplating this because I like the looks and even the specs (I don't need the latest and greatest processor). The copper colored one on Amazon looks fantastic.
I think this thread is important. Keeping an eye on it. Would consider a purchase if unlockable. It would be a ****ty move to not unlock it. They could sell more phones if unlockable

File are here : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B2dVzKZymUDWQnJXbFlBeXZCQUk?usp=sharing
please correct me if im wrong. Hopefully someone can dig into this because i really dont get time to search and try and test it on my own. Plus this is my main phone, cant ruin it.(half ruined with no g services already)
Also i want to add that i tried the blackberry method too, https://forums.crackberry.com/black...lts-official-google-apps-landing-page-965257/
