how to root or how to install custom recovevry on Huawei Mate 9 Pro LON-AL00?

LON-29, looking at root guide as well.

LON-L29 root also
Hi!
I'm lining up for instructions on how to root LON-L29. Just got the device today and all of my previous androids were rooted.
Current setup is firmware C432B139 all stock, bootloader not unlocked.

Anyone tried this?
It is unofficial TWRP for LON-L29 international

Seems too unstable/unreliable. Can't risk it that much, I use my phone for work so it has to be a stable root without too much risks when rooting. So far I've found rooting guides/unofficial twrp's for mate 9,but mate 9 pro doesn't have ext sd slots and seems that the file system is encrypted and twrp doesn't support it yet.
Just have to manage without root for a while. XDA is filled with excellent devs and I'm sure someone figures this out. I'm not that capable, only good at following instructions

That forum was hijacked by people with Mate 9 phones, the LON-L29 seems buried on all the replies.

I wrote a guide on this:

Hope it helps!

Root ALE-L02

Hello guys,
Is there a way to root ALE-L02? I have read tons of threads here and most of them is for L21 and L04. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
I too have an ALE-L02 phone.
Can I ask, what differences have you found between L02 and the L21?
Have you tried using any software labelled "for ALE-L21" that has/hasn't worked for your L02?
The L02, L21 &L23 appear to be identical apart apart from the frequency bands they use. I would guess this means that any guide for unlocking the bootloader or rooting would be identical in all three devices.
I have to wait another 10 days or so before they'll give me an unlock code, I'll try to root my L02 after that.
Using L02 too. Can you give us an update @boredaghast? Thanks.
I followed a video guide that I'm sure I found on this website. Both videos were by the root junky website. All I needed was a Facebook account too get my unlock code instantly. I'll search for the links and edit later today.

I will. Huawei have said that I have to own the phone for 14 days before they'll give me an unlock code, so I'll be a few more days yet.
I'll follow the root junky video on YouTube I think.
This video unlocks the phone
To get your unlock code instantly will require a Facebook account though
is the root Video which must be done second (after the phone is unlocked)
So far I've only really been able to change the font of my phone and use an additional theme for my phone. I've been unsuccessful at Making a back up of my phone, any attempt to do so with software on the phone reboot to back just leads to the emui screen. Anyone else's progress?
Edit: sorry can't post external links, search site:youtube.com user:root junky. He links to software on his own website that I downloaded and scanned, nothing malicious and worked great for me

Thanks guys. I'll wait for the update. I don't want to root but I need to install my apps to my sdcard. I am unable to do so even if my settings were already changed to use sdcard.
So, I unlocked the bootloader and followed the Root Junky videos on YouTube and now my ALE-L02 is rooted. :good:

How to root Zenfone 3 5.5 Inch (ZC553KL)

How to root Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 Inch (ZC553KL)...please!
I haven't found any solution to root too. pls help
same here. seem like this phone is still too new in market ...
also waiting on root for this particular model...
Hey guys.
I just bought this model too...
Still no luck on getting Root, right?
I checked a bunch of threads all over and only found solution for ZC520KL.
I also tried KingRoot (and several others), but KingRoot was the only one who returned an error message stating that a Root strategy had not yet been found for this particular model.
The request count for this model was 93, including my own.
So, I'm guessing we should all install KingRoot app and even though it does not root our phone, we can still issue a request for the devs to do it.
The more, the merrier.
Best regards,
Same hereeeeee, I was hoping this one will be much easier to root.. But eh.... I guess not
Same here. I looked for the unlock boot. I did not find..
Yes please someone make a tutorial to root the

For now NO but will keep try other ways to root the device
What do you plan to do once rooted? I don't see custom ROMs. The only thing I can think of is Xposed.

My HTC One M7 (viper rom) left me so i buy this Zenfone Max Plus the same day, i'm very surprised this low price phone is very much more performant than my old hight price HTC.
That would be very cool to see some rom's on this one, i hope but maybe i'm dreaming.

Huawei Y7 2019 [DUB-LX3] Updates and custom ROMs

Hi guys,
Is there any custom ROM for the Huawei Y7 2019?. I think this phone should have a thread too.
Any news, comment or idea about when will be the EMUI 9 (Android 9: Pie) update arriving to this phone?.

No updates , not anymore, I don't think that someone will try to root this phone... Bootloader is too hard to unlock. So , no root , no roms...

I think i saw a video showing how to unlock the bootloader but i don't even tried it. I am thinking on sell this phone, seriously man. What a waste of time and money. Get back to Samsung definitely.

Y7 2018 model is not so different from 2019 model, better CPU (SnapDragon 430 vs 450), double ram and better selfie camera. So the same custom roms (8.1/9.0) could work on 2019, since kernel/ramdisk/vendor remain to untouched. Look for Project Treble or custom roms for Y6 2018.
2019 model is ALREADY unlocked and rooted on MoS. It worth pay 4$ for unlocking!

Any news? I really want to change the UI of this phone, it's just ugly.

Huawei's ****ty Bootloader System
Hello i was a fan of the Huawei P8 Lite because such a great phone. Being Very happy with the P8 Lite i decided to get the Huawei Y7 Prime 2018.I got very dissapointed when i found out that the forum that showed you your phone's code no longer worked. Eventually i sold that piece of sh*t Y7 and got a Xiaomi phone which serves me very well and has plenty of roms.. My advice for you as a former Huawei Fan is to sell tyhat phone and get a new Xiaomi or Samsung..
Thanks for your time, hope i helped:good:

Magisk is global root method. You need boot.img from your installed firmware.zip and apk of the magisk.
There are a lot of guides in web. Find one like I described.

Try to follow normal Zenfone 5 tutorial magisk tutorial. It should work. Don't do anything else from Zenfone 5 tutorials. Others are device specific.

Hey man, i was trying with the Z5 one so nope! But i searched for a Z5Q one on the internet and got a working one.
I managed to root it quite easily, unfortunately it seems like i rooted for nothing since what i initially wanted to do was enable the Camera2API, but nothing seems to activate it heh... Editing build.prop does nothing, if i try to install zip files to enable it through TWRP, it always fails because it can't mount /data, etc etc
But hey, it's rooted, working fine and if i find something useful to do with root on the Z5Q, i'll do it haha

Please help me to rollback my oneplus 6t to Pie froma stable Android 10

Please i need an help. I am on Android 10 stable with my Oneplus 6t, but i prefer android Pie. Please can you help me to rollback? Very thanks
you will need to unlock the bootloader and use the aio tool from somewhere on the one plus fourms. allow oem unlock in dev options. note in the process you will be formatting the internal storage
