Note 7 Global Version - Bad connectivity / no incoming calls possible - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

Hey guys,
i got my Redmi Note 7 Global Version from honorbuy on Tuesday and i really like it. I'm living in Germany and have one big problem
with my phone, i have a bad connectivity/reception and many incoming calls dont work. Other people can't reach me, even if
there is one stripe at 4G Connectivity. I also don't get a reminder of a "tried call". Sorry for me english, i hope you can understand
this.
I have the correct APN Settings and even tried my old smartphone (Mate 9) and there is no problem with calls. If i call someone
else with the Note 7 it is no problem, but he cant call me back, this is very strange. It doesn ring and the guy whos tries to call
me just gets an info "No reachable at the moment". Do you have any ideas what could help or
is it maybe even damaged or a software issue ?
Thank you very much

thanks for your response. Yes, i checked the bands and the global version supports german bands (20). I reseted the smartphone and now it seems that it works. Maybe it was also just an issue of the provider, i changed the
connectionen to the provider.

Sort, the hspda bands are hardware specific. You cannot change them; there is no hack that will fix this.

I assume he wasn't referring to your English as grammar, but rather as spelling. (i.e. instead of typing "ur", it'd have been better to write "you are")
You can try Arabic, I will be more than glad to help .
Actually I was referring to mms having nothing to do with hspa.
Mms is just a data heavy sms, and will use whatever cell data connection is available, Gprs, edge or hsdpa, it doesn't know and doesn't care whether hsdpa is active or not.
Example, the donated heart for transplant doesn't know or care if its being transported by cycle, car or express motorbike.

[Q] Can I flash a USA Sprint LG G2 to International or EU carrier?

Hello guys, it is my first post here! I tried searching for my specific question but I did only find hints, not a true answer.
I'm about to change my phone soon, I come from iOS world so please don't be too hard on me if what I ask is stupid or evident for you (as it would not necessarily be the case for me ).
I am right now looking at a Sprint 32GB version of a LG G2, it does have a bad ESN with Sprint. Obviously it is not high priced since ESN is bad. I understand a little that ESN is linked to WMCA networking, which is specific to each carrier. It is the same as connecting to data with Sprint or Verizon or AT&T, or in my area, SFR, Orange, Bouygues, Vodafone... Am I right?!
From what I've read, it would be best for me to search for a regular phone instead if I was in USA. But I live in Europe, so I don't care about not being able to connect to Sprint network.
If I flash/root this phone with an EU stock ROM or International ROM (or even a custom ROM, since a lot are available here), will I be able to connect to my local carriers' networks?
Regarding your advices I will or will not buy this phone.
Sorry if my english is bad, & Thanks in advance! :good:

If you're saying that you're gonna buy the Sprint version because it's good in price and you live in Europe. Just check the bands which the Sprint version supports and the bands which your network provider in Europe provides. If they are compatible then no worries. Just make sure that you only flash ROMs etc which are made for the Sprint variant. I think you would also need to unlock the device which I'm not sure about.
Still, the best thing to do us to buy the international variant(D802) which is not locked if you also can't figure out how to unlock.

Sprint does not support 2100 frequency. 3g hspa HSDPA so on use the above mentioned frequency. According to my knowledge India uses 2100 frequency band. So unfortunately you'll not be able to use 3g in India with the sprints version.
Try for at&t version
im using 3G just fine in india on sprint version :|

You will have to input APN settings manually.
Name Airtel
Apn : Airtelgprs.com
rest leave it default save select and your net should start working.

Actually bro everything is fine with the setting I guess, as I have tried a different sim as well, whenever i enable data it does not show "E" on the notification bar as it Use to show before I could only see GSM inside a small circle when ever i activate net there is no "E" at all. All the problems started when I updated the cell via OTA update initially when I got the cell it was ZV7, now after the update its ZVA and not able to Use net since then. Please find the attached screen shot about the GSM showing up when i enable data.
it will not show E on stock rom unless u make some changes,
thats how Sprint rom reports network.
Other roms ull see E and H.

Flash the LG G3 Rom or AOSP rom and check once.

[Q] ok, you guys. I really need your help. I'm very confused!

okay so when I bought my note 3 this article here, or review I should say, was very helpful. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/review/..._dp_cr?cursor=1&qid=1399409475&sort=rd&sr=8-2
the only thing is, I can't seem to figure out which note 4 model to buy now. if it helps any I live in USA Texas and I'm going to be using my phone on Net10 I would like to get 4G LTE and I'd rather have the Snapdragon model but the Exynos model is ok too. I just want to know which model would work best with the provider I'm going to use and get 4G LTE and also maybe not have so much bloatware. It HAS to be unlocked. Is there a USA unlocked version? What should I do... I'm really good with technology and phones don't get me wrong, but Samsung model numbers and figuring out what's what confuses the crap out of me!
all the unlocked models I found are either not compatible with USA bands or just that I'm worried because they're always European or Arab version phones and I'm just worried about getting one that's from some other country and that it won't function properly. Halp meh plzz?!
bump
You will have LTE coverage on either the N910F(Snapdragon) or N910C(Exynos).Just get the one offered in your country.

The device have to be Carrier-unlocked (legal) and may be used with any GSM carrier that uses a frequency or band that this device supports. A SIM card and service plan must be purchased separately. This device's frequencies can be found in the product Specifications under Cellular Network. Your carrier's available frequencies may be found in the links below.
- North American Carriers.
- South American Carriers.
- Worldwide Carriers.
Joki1981 Thank you very much for your answer i will check this today since he need an answer till the end of the day. One More Question. The "Carrier-Unlocked" isnt the same as "Factory Unlocked" or "GSM Unlocked". I am searching and finding several devices that are Factory unlocked and i dont know if it is the same ( Probably not )

Take a look: HERE.
Thanks for the tips. I concluded that i can buy a factory unlocked phone and it will work in europe without any problem right? The only problem i might have is the 4G connection i think. Still afraid of buying a US phone because when it arrives here, anything might go wrong but the price is so much lower than here.....

Question about changing from EU to global ROM (call recording)

Any one know if the global ROM support call recording out of the box? Really need that feature.
Also if it has it and I flash it, will the global ROM support all 3g,4g,5g bands as the EU ROM do?

Mine doesn't (Sweden) and when I run the abd command to enable it, it works but then it incorporates new bugs, like hides the comment section in instagram when replying etc so you can't see what your typing, also in other apps it hides the text box when typing so your typing in blind.
So anyone with any, I mean ANY SOLUTION please let me know, thanks :good:
It was not active on my phone as well(Greece) but I'm rooted so I just installed the Magisk module.
Have u checked this thread? There're are several ways for rooted and non-rooted devices(compatible with 8/8 Pro)

What's your model mate,?
It's plausible that your carrier didn't want you to have that feature.
I know certain locations at restrictions on certain functions.
For example; in Australia you need to keep the audio turned on when taking a picture, apparently it was restricted so you couldn't turn it off.
Not sure about now but that's where my money is.
Might be worth simply flashing a normal EU firmware, the same as my one and i cannot see why it wouldn't work..
Post your about phone screen. Obviously hide your IMEI / number if it's on that screen (shouldn't be there but just in case)
I do have the EU phone but I'm in the UK, so could be an EU thing not UK.
Let's see what your model / variant is and we'll go from there

Identical
Did you get your phone from a provider or straight from OnePlus?
Is it's the provider then it's down to them I'd say..
Flashing a firmware may fix it. Downloading a full update from oxygen update may do the job.
Beyond that I'm not sure pal.

Got it from a regular store, so it's a retail OnePlus model not branded.
To my knowledge the operator decides if it's available or not, unfortunately. No call recording with any operator in sweden (I've tried). I use the magisk module (oos native call recorder enabler), been using it on op6, 6t and now op8 pro. No issues.
Edit: it even works on oos11 DP3...

Got mine from 3 UK on a 24 month, not locked to any network.
3 were the only network in the UK to get this phone.
They don't tend to mess with features like EE have in the past and although id prefer the EE network for speed and stability, 3 haven't actually been that bad, their 5G hasn't been great though, I don't have 5G on at all.. as it's not been worth the battery hit. 4G usually gives me around 100Mb whereas EE was around 275Mb in the same location (my house)

Well personally I'll never buy another Sammy again, least not until they start allowing Qualcomm to provide all SOC's, the difference is night and day between the Exynos and Snapdragon.
I had the ultra on order and it didn't arrive for so long so when I saw the 8 Pro I switched, after looking at the problems that chip caused I'm glad I did..
I'm sure there should be a call recording feature you can install.
