S10+ and Galaxy Watch no Samsung Pay on Watch - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

Anyone else having a problem with Samsung Pay no longer working on the Galaxy Watch when you switched to the S10? I reset the watch and even tried manually loading the Samsung Pay watch apk and it still will not work. Was on Samsung Tech chat and their answer is to send them in the watch and I do not believe that is the problem. Please let me know your experience. Thanks

I have been using Samsung pay on the Galaxy watch without any problems. In fact, I set it up and used it several times yesterday. Last night Samsung tech support had me reset all my settings for another issue, which deleted the connection to my watch. I had to set my watch up again this morning. I haven't used it yet today but it set up fine. I did notice that there was an update for the Gear app that changed the look of the app so I may be counting chickens. I have never had a lot of luck with Samsung Tech Support.
Update: I used Samsung Pay several times today and it works fine for me. I know when I set it up I pressed the button like normal, then it sent me to my phone and it had to download the gear app for the service. (You have probably already tried that but thought I would throw it out there in case.)

Gear S3 frontier working fine with s10+

Ended up having to do a factory reset on the S10+ and not use my Smart Switch backup and then manually install the Samsung Pay Watch apk. Now it is working, yea!

[Q] Push notifications only work on wifi

I have a sprint galaxy s5. Ive had this problem for about a month and the only thing i havent tried is coming here. The push notifications are not coming through on any app unless the phone is on wifi or i leave an app running on the screen while im away. Ive check all the settings, had sprint look on their side, factory reset, took it to a sprint store, and than had it replaced with another S5. After the first day with the new phone it worked fine until i went to sleep and it updated to 4.4.4 over night. The following day the same problem, no push notifications on data. I went to a samsung video chat and they said it was a bug and wait for the 5.0 update. Well......its here and im still waiting for my friends test email and facebook message to come through.
Any thoughts would be very much appreciated.
Bump
If you're rooted maybe this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andqlimax.pushfixer
could fix your issues. There is an app for non rooted devices too, but I doubt that it works as good.
I'm not rooted and tried the other app you recommended with no luck. I decided since the 5.0 update came through to factory reset the phone. I sent a test to my gmail and installed whatsapp to see if notifications would come through and I've had no luck. Looks like another trip to the sprint store for another phone.

Maybe you have Restrict Background Data checked. It wont give any notifications on Sim network till the app is open. Did you check this out? Push notifications are coming easy on the WiFi and not on mobile data.
I have tried the restrict background data, toggling it on and off and I also checked data usage for apps and none are restricted. Everything is fine on wifi but not on data, app has to be running on the screen to update if i'm not connected to a wifi. I've looked through different forums and many reported the issue fixed because the APN needed changed, but Sprint will not let me configure it. I've been through their tech team and everything seem right on their end.

NFC stopped by Blocking Mode

Well I have been trying for a few days now to get my NFC working on stock OS. No go no way was this going to work, not reading tags or reading phones, I thought that it might have been the QI charge pad that was stopping it.
But battery to battery was not making it happen either. Ordered new battery in case the standard one was not working, downloaded NFC task app. that said that NFC was enabled and working but still no success.
Tried the Samsung Live chat on website, spent 45 minutes explaining to someone in some other country that there was a problem and got absolutely no help at all and no ideas of what could be the issue.
Took it to the Samsung shop in my city and they wanted to book it in for a service and wanted to factory reset which I was not prepared to do. I asked them to check the battery to see if it was even working. Well they fixed it, it turns out that the Blocking Mode was on, I have it on to stop calls after 2200 till 0600 except for my favourites. There is absolutely nothing on any of the samsung sites or downloaded manuals that says the Blocking mode will also stop or block NFC.
So just to put it out there to the masses, if your NFC is not working turn off Blocking Mode and try again.
By the way it works fine with the QI charge pad and phone case.

Wi-Fi Calling

Wi-Fi Calling is not working at all on my stock s7. Is anyone else experiencing this? Getting enablement error. Spoke with sprint tech support who is stumped and now escalating up to higher level team.
Rest of phone (including wifi and hotspot/tethering) working as it should.
Saw one post about disabling Bluetooth and BT share. tried that with no improvement.

What kind of testing would help?
I have never used this before, so keep it simple, lol
I have the same problem. . They told me, after escalating, that it was am account code error. . I am trying now to enable. . Update it works now after whatever account coding they updated

That sounds promising. They have called me three times to keep escalating. Any chance you would PM me your #. I can ask them to look at your acct to figure out how to fix mine.
Also if you have air rave try turning that off

I didn't have any problem with the Airrave and my S5 using Wi-Fi calling.
I think I had to do that sometimes because the phone was trying to use both or maybe just to eliminate that possibility
Anyone have a solution for broken Wifi calling. I tried everything I could find including calling Sprint. Running the latest Sprint S7 update, was working before the phone updated. Really not looking forward to do a hard reset.
It's a problem with the data code on your account. Will need tech suport to fix. They are having issues with s7 not carrying code over correctly.
Thanks for the feedback, do you mean my Data plan is not correctly assigned to my phone. Ill probably have to hold the Sprint tech supports hand to get it going.
No its the actual billing codes for your account and how wifi is coded on it.
No luck, was on the phone with Sprint for almost an hour. They made a Ticket, said said I needed to take my phone to a repair center
I have to tell you after the security update it reset my pattern lock and i ended up with factory reset because the Samsung website unlock feature isn't set up for the s7. Had to use Google website and my Google account to restet. Good luck

I know what you mean. Luckily I had fingerprint unlock working cause my pin unlock broke after the update. Hoping for a work around cause I got my phone setup just right. Is there a backup I can do that will restore everything exactly the way I have it now (except Wifi calling of course)? I had titanium backup years ago but it was a pain back then.
WiFi Calling
I have the same issue with my S7 with the enablement error. I have been on the phone with Sprint for over 1 hr with no help - they state it is a Samsung software issue. I went back to Best Buy where I got the phone and exchanged it but still the same problem. I took it to the Samsung reps who were there and they also were stumped. I reached out to "advanced tech Sprint support" who stated its a Samsung issue and will not be fixed until they release a patch. I reached out to Samsung and they stated they were not aware of any issues and to send the phone to their repair center - which made no sense. I see online that some have no issues doing wifi calling so it may be luck of the draw. I think that Sprint will blame Samsung who in return will say no issue. I am going to try to exchange the phone again and hope the third time works!
Did you try a hard reset?
Check wifi calling doesn't support messaging at this time..

It only recognized my fingerprint a couple times then after power off it wouldn't. Also found out find my mobile isn't set up by Samsung for s7 yet, if ever. . I use nova launcher which allows you to save your homescreen and widget and folder setup. I use helium to back up apps and data. Restore was only really annoying not horrifically annoying. Don't forget to back up your Samsung account settings and take your sd card before you go the Google reset route. . The most help I got was the Samsung rep at best buy
Sent from my SM-T330NU using XDA-Developers mobile app
Thank you, that's a lot of great information.
I had 4 reps tell me to bring it to store for repair, did hard reset etc.... got up to advanced tech support before guy called me and said "fixed the problem, go ahead and try"and worked fine after that.

Facebook doesn't load profiles

Hello everyone, my wife and I both got new S10 + from at&t last week. Both transfered data from our old iPhones.
For some reason her Facebook app messes up all the time. If you open someone's profile it will say not connected, tap to retry. And if you click to watch a video, it will play it but there will not be any videos below it to watch like normal. I have to disable the app, then update it to make it work again. It will work for a while and later that day I will have to do it again.
I already performed a factory data wipe via the recovery mode.
The second time we setup her phone we didn't perform the data transfer from her iPhone. Same issue
I have had zero issues from mine. Mine is white and hers is flamingo pink. Not that it matters. But that's what we have.
Thanks in advance.
Well. For some odd reason, the day we decided to take it to the AT&T store it didn't mess up anymore. We didn't change anything.
Mine does that sometimes, but also did it on Huawei too, it's a Facebook thing.

But it's pretty weird that my wife and I had the same phones connected to the same wifi and cellular towers at work and only hers was messing up. I just hope it doesn't mess up again after the 14 day swap policy

Can't copy account from phone to watch

I received a Ticwatch Pro as a Christmas present. It looks and feels like a well built watch, but the software on the other hand seems like a real turkey. I just can't copy my Google account from my phone to the watch. I've tried factory resetting the watch, clearing the data on my Google apps, and all the other suggestions I've found online, but with no success.
I figured if I can't find a solution here, I won't find one anywhere. So before I return it for a refund, can anyone help me out with this nightmare?
UPDATE
Igot it sorted about 10 mins ago. I reset my watch, then removed Wear OS app, then cleared the data in Google app and rebooted. I don't know if this made a difference, but this time I left the watch on the charging cradle and went through setup, and it worked first time. I'm hoping I never have to go through this hell again.
