Ticwatch Pro 4G - Other SmartWatches

Anyone able to get the TICWATCH PRO 4G Chinese version into English with google support? The Ticwatch Pro ROM flash apparently does not work with the 4G hardware. I could do with out the eSIM funtion but would like a watch that is usable. Any Ideas?

Heard from Mobvoi.
"Currently the engineering team is working on the ticwatch pro 4G international version. They haven't inform us when it will be released and when will the Chinese version of ticwatch pro 4G be able to flash to an international version. Thank you so much for your understanding"

That would be awesome! ?

I just ordered one from eBay canada

There seems to be a sales by MobVoi on 3/8 in China on TicWatch Pro 4G so the volume should go up. It is also now sold through Xaimi and should further make it more popular.
As said, I bid on Pro 4G and will receive one from a Chinese eBayer. Will post more when I receive it (5 to 8 days shipping). I hope to use the eSim as well.

I received the TicWatch Pro 4G this afternoon. As there is no International ROM for this yet, I checked the forum and found the instruction of updating the Chinese ROM into international version. After several hours of TWRP flashing, disabled the Chinese WearOS store and install the regular WearOS, it is now running properly with all function active. Google map shows pretty fast GPS signal, and the compass seems to be sensitive as well.
I will call T-Mobile when I have some time to see whether I can activate this eSim. I did find the IMEI (no EICC or UID, yet) , so it should not be a problem. TM has the DIGITS subscription for shared number phone/message/data for $15 with $5 discount for group plan. Hope it will work, and that will be handy.

eSIM would be nice, but the Chinese tic watch as is is unusable, no Google services, while the is a Chinese version of the wear os app... It must be side loaded. No ok Google, no maps, no Gmail, lots of useless Chinese apps everything in Chinese.
Anyone know if it is possible to flash part of the ROM to get language support and basic Google services?

Below is what I received from Mobvoi:

Dear customer.
Thank you for reaching out to the Mobvoi support team!
Ticwatch Pro 4G is designed to be used in China mainland. And it can only support Chinese(language.)It can't support to be switched into any other language.
Which website did you buy the watch please ?
Looking forward to your reply.
Best regards,
Ticwatch team.

I have basically followed the instruction of how to convert a TWP Chinese ROM into global WearOS, and fix the input language issue (just had to sideload English GBoard). Not sure about the g-ok yet. There is no NFC or google fit issue at all. With all connection active (BT,Wifi, cellular) and always on display turn off, it still had 86% after about 12 hours, so not too bad. TM has activate the eSim EID, I will you know about the compatibility as the connection/cellular still say not activated...need to activate it through some Tic app. Will post the result once I find more time on this side project.

So you have already received your watch and flashed it? What method? The only thread on flashing here in xda for the non 4g model and members write the the rom is not compatible with the 4g model due to different hardware. That is why I created THIS thread separate from the 93 plus pages of issues with the regular tic watch pro. Please post your flashing method and resources. Would be appreciated. Thanks.

I spent almost an hour on the phone with TM, and concluded that an app is needed to activate the eSim even after TM has successfully activated EID and verified the paired # working. I guess I will wait when there is more time to investigate this.
Here is the process that I have done to convert TWP 4G into Google Wear OS (based on collected info from a few sites):
0) boot into Recovery with modification mode using TWP twrp-3.2.3-catfish.img
1) rename/mv these Chinese WearOS stuffs to something else (so you can recover back to Chinese WearOS easily without flashing the whole ROM)
file: /system/etc/sysconfig/cn_google_features.xml
directory: /sysyem/priv-app/PrebuiltWearskyHeadless
2) get the Google Play store PrebuiltWearsky.zip ZIP from http://drive.google.com/open?id=10hRF0uU8zqA2c-GIG1xzOV-Hdf68hdnE
Unzip files/directories to system/priv-app/PrebuiltWearsky by keeping the directory pattern.
3) Sideload the Google English keyboard (GBoard_xxxxx.apk) so you have the option to switch to English keyboard. Sideload other language keyboards if preferred (adb install Gboardxxxxx.apk). Anyone can suggest how to swap out the Chinese voice assist to English will be great.
4) Factory reset and pair with Google Wear OS. The difference with Chinese Wear OS and Google WOS is there is additional "Google Wear OS" at the lower portion of the main screen.
Won't be able to do much as works are piling...have fun if you have a TWP 4g.

If you visit this page:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gboard
It will point to you WearOS keyboard:
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/gboard-the-google-keyboard-android-wear
You can also extract the WearKeyobar app in \system\app of the TWP Bluetooth and load it into 4G version, so it will boot up with English keyboard option (removethe ..\app\WearPinyinKeyboard if you don't need it)
I have received TMobile confirmation that current TM has no tool to activate eSim, and they are considering WearOS app.
Also, I am not sure whether I have time to mess around with 4G watch, and possibly just restore the Chinese ROM and put it on eBay or Amazon and go back to my heavy-duty CASIO Protrek. So far, I am happy with it only has to be charged every 2 to 3 days on regular usage.
Good luck with your venture of TWP 4G.

Hey does that still works for Wear OS H? I tried on my C2 and it still could not be paired with Google play version of Wear OS app, pretty weird. Should I still use the Chinese version of wear os app?

I have the same problem here. I guess it may be caused by the system updating. I will do the factory reset and try again.

Please advice Google Play store installation on Edge+ G9280

Hello,
I had received a Chinese Samsung Galaxy Edge+ G9280 as a gift but it is not preinstalled with Google Play Store. May I know if any one has successfully installed Google Play Services and Play Store in their Edge+? I'm trying to stay away from rooting the phone as I am afraid of bricking the phone.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards
Alex
On past devices, you had to find a place to download the Google Services APK, root the device, then move the APK to system/app manually. I doubt it's different with the Edge+.
Thanks! May I know had anyone succeeded in rooting a G9280 or similar model yet? Any do or don't? I'd bricked a phone before.. You can imagine how nervous I'm now. Lol

Definitely not for G9280, but you could follow this for any future updates! :good:
Thanks a bunch!!

Another thing you could try is flashing the firmware for the Hong Kong Edge+ if they are the same model#. It would have the full Google services framework and could be flashed using Odin without rooting or tripping Knox and losing your warranty.
G9280 Root and Play Store
Hi Alex
Did you end up getting your G9280 installed with Play Store and root I assume?
I already have root and play store (not done by me) but if I apply and updates from Samsung I will lose root and play store.
Thanks
Play Store not running
Hi
i have unlocked and rooted my device SM-G9280 , installed the google services, but still can not run google play store ,
does anyone have an advice how to get this run ?
Did anyone manage installing gapps on the G9280? Please help
Try this.
If you read Chinese, or if you can find somebody to help you, you can try the following:
Step 1: Please root your phone. Visit this page: http colon //daxiaamu dot com/?p=2055
Step 2: Download Root Explorer in Samsung APP store.
Step 3: Download Google Play Services APK, Google Play Store APK, Please visit: http colon //www dot androidapksfree dot com/apk/google-play-services-apk-latest-version-download/
If you download with your phone, it is stored at /data/media/0/download
Step 4: Use RE to move those two APKs to /system/app
Step 5: Use RE to change permissions from rw-rw-rw to rw-r-r
Step 6: restart your phone and the google play store should be OK. (please install Google Play Store first if you have not yet done so.)
It is not a perfect solution, but it works. Let me know if you cannot make it work.
hey i was looking for the same answer because i have same phone g9280 without any google service and some apps are impossible to get from Chinese store.
i have successfully rooted my device and then i have installed gapps. now it is working fine.
first you need to download the root file, is a xxx.tar , then install it with odin. Also you need to find the PHILZ software and install it in same way, that software allows you to install the gapps file (download it and copy in to the device internal memory as first).
if youre still in china, be aware that you need a VPN installed and working if you want google app works.
hope it helps.
Paid ROM service
I had the same problem and confusion like you guys after I got back from China. Searched a bunch but didn't get a satisfying solution, I emailed both Samsung CN(China) and CA(Canada). CA said it's none of their business since I bought the phone back in China, CN replied that 9280 and CA model have different specs, therefore they cannot provide the CA system I required. I was like wtf, so this Samsung flagship device is just gonna sit at home like a brick?
Did a little Baidu (like Google in China) and finally got an answer. I successfully rooted my 9280 from taobao.com (like ebay or amazon in China) for ¥188, or 30USD 40CAD (wtf with CAD nowadays, geez). The ROM is made by a famous Samsung rooting service company in China. I will put a link at the end of the post.
After a month of use, I will give the ROM an A.
- google services are for sure usable.
- OEM system look with lots of adds-on features in settings.
- a few bugs, not too noticeable.
- improved battery life.
You will see some interesting (but do you need it?) features in settings. Anyways, if you want to access Google Play Store and use Google Services, go for it.
Link below contains some screenshots I took before and after the ROM installation:

umm, the forum wouldn't let me post the screenshots cuz I'm a new user. enter the link without @
How to:
1. A PC (you don't need a sick rig, but not one from the last decade please.)
2. A mainland Chinese friend. Not just some random 2nd gens or HKs. No offense, but he/she will have to understand and follow all the Mandarin installation instructions. Plus, he/she needs a taobao account and a valid payment method accepted by taobao. (Don't worry, if your friend is a Mainlander, they will probably have all that.)
3. 30USD or 40CAD, + a McDonald's happy meal for your friend
Leave me a comment if you have any questions.

here what you need to root your device sm-g9280:
mega.nz/#!kcNCWBiQ[/
contains:
gapps: complete google play services and app.
odin 10
philz_touch : bootloader for rooted device
root stock kernel : root file.
instructions: (all of it is necessary, and totally works if you do it well. im not responsible if your phone get damaged in the process, do it completely under your own responsability) note: if you follow the instructions, youre going to lose your warranty (samsung, vendor or whatever else). i strictly recommend you do backup your phone info and download the original software from .samsung-updates, in case something go wrong you will probably need it to recover your phone alive and restart the process.
step 1: download and unrar the file in the link. PASSWORD KEY IS : JuanC
step 2: copy the GAPPS file (zip file, do not uncompress it) into your device's memory (remember the directory adress)
step3: unblock your download mode in your device options. if you dont know how, just ask youtube.
step4: turn off your device and extract the sim card ( if you dont, you gonna lose your antenna drivers)
step5: start your device in download mode. ask youtube if you dont know how
step6: if the download mode is unblocked, you would be able to see the message "unblock". then you can connect your device via USB to your computer and open the ODIN program (included in the link). you also need to have the lastest SMARTSWITCH program installed in your PC for the phone drivers. If everything goes well this far , you would be able to see a green or yellow square in the upper corner with the word COM1 or COM2 depending of how many USB ports your PC has.
step7: press the AP button, look for the root kernel file and click OK or LOAD. and wait a few minutes depending on your pc configuration. when done, the message screen shows LEAVE CCS
step8: click load on the bottom. if goes well, after a few minutes you will see a green square with the message : PASS!!. if you have a problem in here just load the original software again.
step9: start the phone and let it update the changes. then turn it off and start it again in DOWNLOAD mode, same as before, restart odin in the AP button you look for the PHILZ_TOUCH file. it will change the bootloader of your device. load it!
step10: start the phone and let it update the changes. turn it off again, and start it in BOOTLOAD mode. ask youtube if you dont know how. click on install from sd card and look for the GAPPS file you have copied from beginning. install it. then push "restart"
step 11: enjoy!
hope it helps.

Ok then go to samsung-updates.com and download the lastest firmware Q2QOJ9 and flash it in the phone. Next repeat the process
---------- Post added at 11:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:44 PM ----------
Or you can baidu the firmware you have and look for the root. Dont worry, when you flash a firmware it will run again. Just ensure the root file you use is same firmware you have inatalled
the firmware you have does not has a root file created yet.
download this firmware and flash it as first step, then do the rest.
samsung-updates.com/details/55960//SM-G9280/CHC/G9280ZCU2AOJ9.html
it is october released and last root file created until now. same as i have installed and running.
thanks, is working now, .... sadly if you update google play is not working anymore, ( tryed to instal youtube and promted me to updete google play ), I tryed "open gapps" and is not working
Somth is different then
I didnt install youtube, till you say it.
Just now i did it with my vpn and i had no problem Installing it and running it. I dont remember if i have updated google play, but just now i have checked and i have 6.0.0 version. And everything is fully working without any problem.
Maybe you can go to the app manager and unistall google and google services and reinstall it from bootloader again and see if the prob is solved. Or google GAPPS and get the last package updated to install.
However, now that you know how to make it works, my advice is you keep moving on next step, i mean maybe downloading the newest firmware from samsung-updates.com on your pc (once youre rooted, you will need to flash it manually) and spending sometime looking for the root file for that firmware.
I trust you let me know if you get it first.

US Model (x727): need dmesg / logcat and other stuff, root not necessary

Thanks guys, I have what I needed!
Hi, I'm wondering if someone with a Le Pro3 US model (x727) could please provide me with the output for dmesg, logcat and some other things.
Pre-requisites:
have adb installed and working for your device
Make sure adb debugging is on for your device, and your computer recognizes your device, and is authenticated for your device. (I don't know EUI, I've only ever dealt with western AOSP/CAF style roms, you'll have to understand and manage this all yourself).
PLEASE don't type the commands from memory, they have case sensitive options. Please copy and paste them. Thank you.
The following commands need to be executed shortly after fresh reboots. Please don't run them if the device has been on longer than a minute. In fact, please don't stray far from the procedure... please.
Reboot device
Once booted run "adb shell dmesg > dmesg.txt"
Run "adb shell cat /proc/partitions > partitions.txt"
Run "adb shell df > df.txt"
Run "adb shell mount > mount.txt"
Reboot the device and perform the next adb step once it's started to boot
run "adb logcat > logcat.txt"
Press "CTRL-C" to stop logging about 30 seconds after the device has settled and connected itself to the cellular network
Reboot the device and run the following once it's started booting back up
run "adb logcat -b radio > logcat-radio.txt"
Press "CTRL-C" to stop logging about 30 seconds after the device has settled and connected itself to the cellular network
Now, the following will likely fail without root, but we'll try for them anyway. Who knows, this might work out:
Run "adb shell ls -la /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name > by-name.txt"
Run "adb shell ls -la /dev/block/bootdevice/by-num > by-num.txt"
Note: None of these commands will produce empty files. If you get empty files, something went wrong. If only a few are empty and you can't seem to get them working properly, just send me what you do get.
Once you've done these things, zip up the files and send them to me in a private message. You don't want these posted here unless you want people knowing your phone number. The text files, especially for the logcat and radio output will be large, but they should compress down to something quite reasonable. Also, please make sure to include your model number so I know which I'm working with. Thanks much.
Thanks.
I can do this for you a bit later today.

Don't have my phone yet. If you don't get it by Tuesday I'll gladly help you from that point on. Unfortunately I'm 5 days from the west coast shipping wise.

I have the x720 (chinese) and not the x727 (US) version.
If you are still interested in the data, I will be more than happy to send it to you.
In the meantime, if you are interested in the partition layouts, I've already posted some details about it here: [REF] LEX720 - 64GB - Partition infos
[edit1]
I just sent you a PM.

I think LeEco has disabled adb service as well. adb is not detecting the device. I installed terminal emulator and the device and checked for adbd process, but could not find it running even after enabling USB debug. Looks like the device is completely locked out
I can only speak for the chinese version (x720), but my device came with an unlocked bootloader and adb and fastboot are working perfectly fine here.
Yeah, chinese version is unlocked. I was talking about the US version that I got yesterday. It was a complete disappointment
Thanks guys, I appreciate the help!

How does using the Chinese version work out for you in the US. I'm thinking about returning my US version and getting a Chinese one so I can unlocked BL. Looks like the Chinese one supported all of the same LTE bands in the US, but I could be wrong.

I am not located in the US, but in Austria (Europe) and it works perfectly fine here. (Also supports LTE band 20/800 MHz, which is used here in Europe and often missing in phones made for the chinese market, so I'm perfectly happy with it.)

ZTE Axon 7 Rom version

I just bought ZTE Axon 7 from china and it came with ZTE_A2017V1.0.0.B07.0 build number. What kind of ROM is this? I read about "U" ot "G" versions, but i have never seen the "V" mentioned anywhere. Is there any updates for this ROM, is it rootable?

The V is not the model number. V as in Version of the ROM.
ZTE A2017 V(ersion)1.0.0.B07.0
A2017 is the Chinese model, A2017G is the Global/Europe model, A2017U is the North American model.

Thanks xtermmin! I thought I had done that through the "Android devices manager" (my translation of the ZTE French translation) being authorised to lock a device or erase the data... but apparently this is not the solution...
It seems that I cannot find this Developer Options in any menu... and thus cannot toggle the "OEM unlocking"...
I have an option called "self Protection" , would it be it?

Excellent thank you! I was able to go into this mode, and get the authorisation for the upgrade from the SD card.
I have unzipped the B13 package, including the update.zip file as well, at the root level of the SD card, but when I select to upgrade from the SD Card, I am shown the directory of that SD Card, which shows only 2 subdirectories coming from update.zip :Meta-Inf and Cache... the various files coming from update.zip are not visible...
When I select the SD Card directory itself I get "installation aborted".
Would you mind giving me some hint (I brewse through the forum, and nobody explains the process in details...)... I am not a developer but owning a chinese Axon, I suppose that no update will come through OTA... (previously I had a ZTE Blade S6 and had no other choice than to upgrade from the SD Card, and this was much easier than on this Axon 7)
Thanks a lot!

You are right! I am not a developer , and I am not trying to root, just trying to upgrade to B13 from the vendor's site , like I did on my previous ZTE Blade S6... it just appears that it is less simple to upgrade the Axon7 than the Blade S6... knowing that Blade S6 was fully in English while Axon 7 still uses Chinese...
Thanks for your suggestions , I have gone through the forum, but detailed operations are not described...

I suppose this is a developer's password?
No, you just need to wipe data...
ZTE encrypts the system and data partitions, for the Axon 7, on boot but it seems to not follow through when you upgrade the entire rom.
OTA's are fine but complete rom upgrade requires you to go to recovery and wipe data...

Same problem for me : B13 is correcctly installed but boot requires a password to activate Android...
1/ I have requested this password via the vendor on Aliexpress... otherwise will ask ZTE directly
2/ I saw on this forum that someone advises to do a factory recovery, but I suppose this means going back to the previous ZTE release?

Use ZTE market to install gmail, google play store and google play services (you can install others too but these 3 are needed). Search for google installer on ZTE market.
Once these 3 are installed go to apps, Mi-Assisstant and then autorun, make all 3 autorun and you shoulld be good to go. Log into playstore 1st and update everything. When you try to go to gmail it will probably try to upgrade google play sertvices. Let it. If you have issues then keep trying, may take up to an hour , it's just not registered on google yet.
Cheers...

Asus Zenpad 10 3s [P027] Chinese Version Rom without any Google services/apps

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to start this thread, in order to ask for your kind help in turning the Chinese Rom of the Asus Zenpad 10 3s [P027] to any other Rom that provides Google services/apps, as you may know all Google services and apps are banned in China, so the original Rom the Pad comes with, doesn't provide any of the previous. I've been following other threads, and so far haven't found anything very useful on this topic.
There are currently no available updates to Android 7.0 yet. Thus, it is a bit hard to use the tools people have managed to root the device have provided.
Android Version:
6.0
Android Security Patch Level:
August 1, 2017
Kernel Version:
3.18.19
[email protected] #1
Sun Sep 10 03:50:49 CST 2017
Build Number:
MRA58L.CN_Zenpad-13.0610.1708.30-20170909
I'd really appreciate if anyone could provide any directions or point out anything that could be done, thank you very much! :fingers-crossed:

Nothing yet man, without android 7 is hard to try anything they have so far. I hope they update soon!
I doubt there is enough demand to get an fix for this issue on XDA, especially since the manufacturer has this tablet locked down really tight. I think our best hope is that someone who is bilingual might be able to find a solution on the Chinese internet and post it here.

I've been asking in some Chinese Forums also, but the problem is that Chinese people don't really use Google services/apps. So as you said, we're a bit stuck here.
Should we email them or something, I mean Asus?
Maybe if we sent it to Taiwan, and get the Taiwanese Rom, somehow?
I sent an e-mail to ASUS a while ago and got this:
Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for contacting ASUS Service Care.

This is what I got
I'm in the middle of this, I'll let you know what they reply.
I think it'll be a bit useless, but let's see what they say.
Update: Ended up in the same answer they gave you @yngwieromeo
We have read a lot of forums and so far we can't find one that has been able to do the firmware change to TW, JP or any other that could use the google play.
We don't mind loosing the guarantee, since the Pads so far are pretty much useless to us. Could you please refer us to a site where is well explained how to do the change of firmware, we would really appreciate it.
Or is there any Asus Office or Maintenance Center, we could visit outside of China (HK, TW, SG, UK, etc.) that could help us with this matter?
Thank you very much for your help again, and hope to hear from you soon!

I purchased two ZenPad 10 3s [P027] in China. They come originally without any Google services and apps, which make it very difficult for me to work in my company because all of our services are Google based. Also, the Android version is outdated compared to other roms you have available in other countries, and our company is moving to another country soon.
I would like to know if I can travel to Hong Kong or Taiwan and you can change the Chinese version to another country's version which support Google services.
I would really appreciate it, since we cannot use the tablets as we intended. Thank you for your support!

There was a recent post in another thread about a bootloader unlock utility on the Asus site. Perhaps that can give you the jump start you need to get a U.S. based ROM. I'm no expert. Just putting it out there.

UPDATE: I've tried the following with no success posted by @toineh :
1. Install "Magisk Manager" on your device
Downloaded the Magisk Manager Apk from their official site and installed on the Zenpad
https://******************/
2. Be sure the "boot.img" is available to select
I downloaded the original Asus firmware from their website https://www.asus.com/us/Tablets/ASUS...HelpDesk_BIOS/ "Version CN_V13.0610.1708.30" then extracted the zip into my PC and copied the extracted folder into the Zenpad's SD card (don't copy it into the internal storage, you need to have a SD card) Check that you can access the "boot.img" file inside the folder you just copied into the SD card
3. Select "install" in "Magisk Manager" and "Patch Boot Image File"
Clicked install in Magisk Manager, then it asks if you want a zip or patch a boot image file, chose "Patch a Boot Image file" it asks for permissions to access your files and I allowed it, then send me a message saying that I have to disable overlay which kept me doing unnecessary things for a while, how I got passed it was to just go to the apps permission tab and allow it manually to access my files and folders. Then selected the "boot.img" file on my SD card and got this message, saying the patched boot imagine is on the "Download" folder on my Zenpad's internal storage
Results displayed:
Code:
-copying image to cache
-Device platform: arm64-v8a
-Downloading zip
... 100%
-Extracting files
-Boot image is signed with AVB 1.0
-Signing boot image with test keys
**********************************
Patched image is placed in
/storage/emulated/0/Download/patched_boot.img
**********************************
Done!
4. Search in file manager /sdcard/MagiskManager/ for "patched_boot.img"
In my case the "patched_boot.img" file was on /storage/emulated/0/Download/patched_boot.img
The file was 10,070 KB
5. Copy the patched image to your PC. keep the storage location in mind
I copied the "patched_boot.img" file from my Zenpad into the same directory where I run adb from c:\adb on my PC
6. Connect your P027 to your PC using USB
Had already installed the drivers and ADB to my PC, plugged the tab with the original Asus USB -C cable and set it into file transfer mode.
7. Open terminal and type "adb reboot bootloader"
First run command "adb devices" to check that it detects my Zenpad
Code:
C:\adb>adb devices
List of devices attached
H9NPCV******** device
Then typed "adb reboot bootloader"
Code:
C:\adb>adb reboot bootloader
C:\adb>
The Zenpad enters fastboot mode, you can run "fastboot devices" to check that it detects it
Code:
C:\adb>fastboot devices
H9NPCV******* fastboot
8. when done, you type "fastboot boot patched_boot.img"
This gives me the following:
Code:
C:\adb>fastboot boot patched_boot.img
Downloading 'boot.img' OKAY [ 0.486s]
booting FAILED (remote: 'oem unlock is false')
Finished. Total time: 0.512s
The Zenpad showed:
Code:
USB Transferring......
USB transmission OK Time: 423ms Vel: 24376KB/s
After reading other threads, I guess what I'm missing is the oem unlock tool from @diplomatic
Anyone has any thoughts on this? would appreciate any help!
Cheers!
Thank you for keeping up with the work rodrigo
Any more information come out, yet?
Possible method to flash WW
I have a method that will probably work to convert this tablet to a WW version ROM. I don't have this tablet to try it out on, but I can guide someone through the process. Someone (@rodrigoeblanco?) please contact me by PM if you'd like to explore it with me. Note that there is a small risk involved and you should be somewhat familiar with Linux shell commands. If this works out, I will make a proper guide for everyone...

Someone (@rodrigoeblanco?) please contact me by PM if you'd like to explore it with me. Note that there is a small risk involved and you should be somewhat familiar with Linux shell commands. If this works out, I will make a proper guide for everyone...

Here you go

H1_Aladeng Smartwatch-Android 4G SIM, WiFi, 4GBROM, 512MBRAM, Micro-SD Slot, 1080mAH battery-Root?

Has anyone looked at the H1_Aladeng Smartwatch? Can root be achieved?
It is advertised mostly as kids smartwatch/tracker but the it's features are nearer to a full smartphone on wrist than most Android Smartwatches.
The Micro-SD slot and 1080mAH battery allows me to listen to music through bluetooth for about 5 hours straight.
And oh yes, I installed MX Player so I can sort the music/videos as I wish.
They say it is 32GB max for micro-SD card, but I have a 400GB installed and it reads fine. And some apps can be installed on SD card. The Sim card slot works so I can get texts, browse and stuff.
No it is not specialized in fitness tracking. Only footsteps counter.
Music sound quality over bluetooth improves after installing Noozxoid. However, If root can be found, I would install ViperXHiFi to increase music quality (I have been able to Magisk root and install ViperXHiFi on Microwear H5 4g Smartwatch which gave up the ghost a few weeks ago).

Have found only the way how to get developers mode and enter to engineer menu
1. Click on the build version many times until Developers mode will be enabled
2. In calling type *#*#83781#*#* - you will open Developers menu.
To connect sclock with adb:
Engineer_Menu - tab Debug&Log - USB Debug (enable) - sclock will be able to connect to pc thrue adb.

Hey. Thanks.
Yes I was able to access developers options and other many settings after installing QuickShortcutMaker.
After enabling developer options and usb debugging you I can also issue basic commands like "reboot to bootloader" (reboots to fastboot, usb driver must be installed otherwise device not detected).
Not sure what you mean by sclock, probably new to the term.

the smartwatch just boots normally as reboot.
adb reboot bootloader - brings it to fastboot
fastboot boot ANYRECOVERY.img just equal to reboot.
no any success to start Recovery via fastboot.
there is also not any firmware to research it.

Yea I dont see anything about SP9820e yet.
Also using the QuickShortcutMaker app, I can see a number of apps installed but hidden, gmail, fm radio...
The FM radio app launches and asks for earphone to be plugged in but does nothing when I plug in micro-usb earphones.
I was able to pull build.prop using ADB and I saw a line with FM radio mentioned, but commented out.
After editing build.prop, of course it would not allow me to push back to system, with Read Only error, because of no root.

looks that the only possible way to get root - to read firmware via SPD Flash tool, but there is no scatter file (partitioning of mmcblock*)
in default firmware all block devices available only to root, so is not even possible from console to grab in sectors begin-end of partitions.
Hi All,
For rooting this smartwatch: unfortunately in original firmware there is no any permission for block devices and it is impossible to read partitions size via linux (android).
there is also no any bin of firmware, besides written in flashmemory chip, there is no even dump of this chip
there is no any working recovery for SC9832E, that is possible to run temporally through fastboot boot Recovery.img. Default recovery shows "No command" - there is no known way how to bypass it. OEM is unlocked, there is only 1 button on smartwatch.
If someone could suggest smth or reference to any progress relevant to this device or at least to SC9832E based devices - that will be really great and many thanks in advance !

Do you think if the stock frimware can be obtained from manufacturer, the boot.img can be magisk patched then flashed to gain root?
If yes that would be a goot place to start. I cannot find the firmware/rom anywhere though.

There is a firmware, but there is no instruction on how to flash it, it does not have volume buttons
Finally there is the firmware. Great news! Now we need an enthusiastic modder to get the best out of this smartwatch. It would be great if this would work in a better way than it does now. I'd also like to keep the tracking stuff for my kid.
