Can't get any latet GSI to boot - ZTE Axon 7 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone,
I cant get the latest phh 9.0 v110 and 109 to boot. Reboots to recovery.
This also happens to other roms that base on that.
The only rom that works now is OmniRom 9.0 treble.
I have Project Nfound 1.1 installed and eveything seems ok.
I heard that there is a speedy vendor but I have no access to it. And I dont know if another vendor would fix the problem or not.
I would appreciate any help for my problem,

Help, bluetooth audio bug

Hi.
I understand that one of the bugs in the Lineage 14.1 ROM for the Samsung J500M is the bluetooth audio, Resurrection Remix rom v5.8.3 also has the same bug. Is there any solution for this bug ?.
And if there is no solution for that bug I would like to know if the Mokee rom has that same bug.

The developers are trying their level best to fix this bug. Its an Upstream bug of LOS 14.1 therefore RR v5.8.3 also has this bug. You can use AOSP roms like AOSPExt or Cosmic OS , they don't have this bug. And some people have reported that Mokee Rom has the same bugs as LOS so there also the Bluetooth audio is not working.

Thanks for answering. First I want to ask if I misunderstand, I know that the developers are giving everything in this project and thank them. Second, thank you for your response. I'm going to try the roms that I recommend but I have a doubt, I read in the CosmicOS post and I did not see a version for the J500M.

Sorry CosmicOS does not support J5M. So you can try AospExt. That Rom supports M but you should flash the 7.1.1 build and not the latest 7.1.2 build because in the latest 7.1.2 build bluetooth audio is not working due to some reason but there is nothing to worry , it will get fixed soon. Till then you can use the 7.1.1 build. In that build bluetooth audio is working perfectly

Thanks for answering. Unfortunately I could not find build 7.1.1 of AospExt, since when I look for it only appears build 7.1.2 but I will continue searching. Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Thanks for answering. First I will try the rom and build that I was previously recommended, then I will think about installing Cosmic. I hope the J500F version works on the J500M. Thank you very much.

Install build 7.1.1, taking Lineage 14.1, by doing the following steps:
-Wipe with TWRP.
-Install rom AOSPExt 7.1.1
-After install the gaps
- I did the reboot but it stays in the logo and it does not pass from there.
When I install the rom from the recovery it says success but there is an error which is the following "unmount of / system failed; no such volume".
I think I'm going to go back to the lineage and wait for them to fix the bluetooth audio bug. Thank you.

If mokee rom is based on a rom where it doesent work. There is high chance it doesent work in mokee either UNLESS the dev of Mokee rom has fixed the bug.

Treble support with lineage?

after I flashed lineage os 15.1 on my lg h870 trebel check said that my phone is supported. after that I ofcourse tried to flash custom treble rom with fastboot method and got a Bootloop, normal twrp: same, treble twrp: can't find any. Anybody managed to flash trble rom successfully?
There is talk about adding treble support in the official thread, but don't believe its there yet..

Will we get Treble for GSI ?

Hello,
after testing out lots of ROM with Treble, I used some GSI and some of them worked more some less. In the Treble Development department I found a working AOSP 9 GSI. The ROM did work quite good and I would use it as a daily driver, but sadly the battery consumption was the greatest I ever had.
Maybe it is because of the ROM, but after all the vendor image should also be good. The only one we can use is from nfound and he left us...
So, what do you think? Will there every be a vendor image we can use for GSI?
yes.
Did you try this one: [AOSP 9.0] [EXPERIMENTAL] [2018-08-22] Phh-Treble ?
Cause this is the one, that gives me a SOT of about ~ 5h , which is ok for me right now ...
(altough, using AEX 5.8 SOT was 6-7h for me ...)
But it is in development ...

There is another one based on this one, because this one gave me to much errors. Maybe the new GSI got better...
Did you flash some post GSI zips or did it work out of the box?
So at the moment we only have nfounds vendor image which boots up most gsi, but there are problems not solved. My great hope was that we will get a good vendor image with lineage, but it does not boot any gsi at the moment.
Nfounds vendor seems to be compatible with Oreo and pie. At the moment there is no sign for a pie only vendor image what would be great
Do all the GSIs available for the A7 get the irritating "vendor image mismatch" or "there's an internal problem with your device" on every bootup? I know it can be ignored but it's just annoying as hell. What causes this? I read that it has something to do with the boot/vendor signature/fingerprint not matching what the ROM expects to see. Is there a solution that makes these messages go away? I'm interested in trying a Treble Oreo GSI, but I need a daily driver that can be counted on, and so far I've had very little luck with getting GSIs to boot.
Which vendor image and boot image is correct for an A7 running a Treble ROM? The ones by Nfound? Or LineageOS? Or something else? It would be nice if ZTE would update our device to official Oreo and officially adopt Treble and a vendor partition. The A7 is classified by ZTE as an end of life/support device, with the Axon 9 due soon, the least they can do is bless us with this one last gift as a farewell.
I wouldnt mind running Pie, but I like using Xposed modules, so no go there. On the Oreo GSIs I've tried, exFAT MicroSD usually shows up as corrupt. This is unacceptable to me. And I must have my cache and data partitions as F2FS, for best performance. And a custom kernel.

Nfounds treasure of 9.0 AOSP GSI roms (ALL THE BIG ONES ARE HERE)

This is for anyone who wishes to try trebble AOSP 9.0 roms
:cyclops:
(I know, the sharp, knowledgeable members have already found all of this and more, but for those who are newbies to this , like i was 2 weeks ago, this is important)
Since amazingly, not one developer is able to make roms specifically for our phone, we Flashaholics must go for the Trebble \ GSI roms to get high on Android.:fingers-crossed:
Here are some nice roms by NFOUND, a fine developer who has made his personal\public collection of GSI roms for popular AOSP Roms.
AOKP, POSP, ION, HAVOC os, NITROGEN os, AEX, roms and so much more
I bow to his \her greatness.:good::good::good::good::good::victory:
Thanks for sharing , bro

NOT ALL OF THEM WILL WORK ON YOUR PHONE
SOME REQUIRE FIXES, WHICH ARE IN THE ROM FOLDER
As to how to flash em, heres an excellent guide.....

TIP--- if you cant get to boot using the xiaomi.eu rom with the latest vendor file like 9.3.14 etc
consider using the xiaomi.eu rom with the earlier pie vendor like 8.12.23 because it also boots most of the Nfound Roms.
Thanks to Germano1980 for introducing me to his work
Cheers!:victory:
I always watch his videos on YouTube to see what he's throwing (of course not understanding anything because it's all in Russian).
You forgot AOSiP which is the best one right now as everything works even has gestures too. Also mention that if people cant get to boot using latest vendor file like 9.3.14 etc that they should consider and earlier pie vendor like 8.12.23 as that boots most of these. Good post mate keep it up

That's only applicable with stock roms mate not custom and GSI.
Why is it necessary to install xiaomi.eu before flashing the custom rom?

Cause it's better than stock for flashing. I don't know the exact reason is but it is a better base. The vendors also seem to be flash friendly

After trying to compile LineageOS 18.1 for potter, I've installed it but sadly it bootloops because system_server segfaults, is there any fix for this? Maybe I did something wrong or forgot to do while I was compiling? Thanks!
Sorry but I can't attach logs, don't know why
