No VoLTE & SIM 2 mostly switches to 2G - Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 Questions & Answers

I have 2 SIMs (Both 4G/VoLTE) but none seem to work with Max Pro M2. Is there any issue with VoLTE?
One is from Airtel another from Idea.
I even tried *#*#4636#*#* and forcing LTE but the issue is after reboot the menu changes back to TD-SCDMA/CDMA/UTMS
Mobile Radio Power and VoLTE Provisioned show Green
Voice / Data network type show LTE
In settings Enhanced VoLTE is enabled and Select Network 4G Preferred.
Also as its a Dual SIM phone after dialing *#*#4636#*#* only one SIM shows up in the menu for settings so I have to disable one sim and update setting.
But settings dont stay and keep changing back.
Mobile Operators say that VoLTE is enabled for my number and should work but not working. Any help? Or anyone else facing this issue?
Thanks

For me also airtel volte did not work. Switched to jio where it worked. Cant say about idea.

LTE does not show up as option with specific Operator (MVNO)

I have a SGS5 (SM-G900F) downgraded to Kitkat. (4.4.2)
I can use LTE with one operator A (4G shows in statusbar, speedtest measures above 50Mbits).
I bought a sim for operator B but I cannot switch to LTE mode in Mobile Data Settings -> Mobile Networks -> Network Mode. Any option with LTE is simply not available.
I tested the sim for operator B on an iPhone 6 plus, it works just fine.
I have found some guide for secret codes and walked through it to force LTE. It works, but it does not switch to 3G automatically when I receive a call (it does this with the card of operator A)
So I know that my phone does support both operators frequency bands, I can force it to work, but I want to have the convenience of automatic switching on a phone call.
Is there a list somewhere in the software that has flags for networks to enable and disable LTE options in the menu ? Can I edit this ? Where is it ?
Will updating my Android version fix this ? ( I would really prefer to avoid this, since I use SnoopSnitch )
Operator A is: Vodafone (DE), A1 (AT)
Operator B is: HoT (AT)->MVNO for T-Mobile (AT)

VoLte A6000/Plus
how to enable it ?
To Enable VoLte Head over to Settings » sim cards » sim 1 settings »
set prefered network type to Lte
and toggle Enhanced 4G LTE Mode.
In case you don’t see the toggle there, then follow the instructions below to get it:
1- put volte capable sim in slot 1 remove any sims from slot 2
or
2- Open the Dialer app on your phone, and dial *#*#4636#*#* or use network switcher from store
Select Phone information
Turn On VoLTE Provisioned Flag
Restart phone
Go to Settings » sim cards » sim 1 settings » toggle Enhanced 4G LTE Mode.
Nevertheless, some report there is no specific setting for that. You just need to put in a 4G SIM card with 4G data pack. Turn on the LTE data connection and make a voice call. If the call is being made while the data connection is on without any disturbance or call drop, you may conclude that your device is VoLTE enabled. In contrast to this, if the device cannot make the cellular call while data connection is on, it doesn't support VoLTE.

Enable WiFi Calling & VoLTE on T-Mobile US onOP 5 w Original OxygenOS 4.5.5 Firmware

Enable WiFi Calling & VoLTE on T-Mobile US onOP 5 w Original OxygenOS 4.5.5 Firmware
Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that I was able to enable Wi-Fi Calling and VoLTE on T-Mobile US on OP 5 with the original OxygenOS 4.5.5 firmware by doing the following:
1.) Ignore for a moment that you are already on T-Mobile. This was preselected for you automatically by the virtue of inserting a T-Mobile SIM card.
2.) Go to settings and manually search for/select mobile network. Let the phone search for a mobile network for you.
3.) You will get T-Mobile to appear but the only connection choices you will be given are 2G, 3G and 4G. There will be no choice to select 4GLTE.
4.) Ignore the fact in 3.) and proceed to select the "plain" 4G option
5.) Go back to SIM & Network Settings. The preferred network type for you will appear to be 2G/3G/4G (automatic).
6.) The WiFi Calling and VoLTE options now appear on right under the Preferred network type. Select WiFi calling/or VoLTE
7.) Switch to WiFi. You will get a notification on the top right bar that you are on WiFi/VoLTE calling.
8.) Try it out - it works
9.) Now turn off WiFi. This will switch you to your T-Mobile network.
7.) Check your notification bar on top, it will show that you are on 4G LTE.
8.) Test your 4GLTE connection speed with a program like speedtest.net.
9.) Mine was ~ 55 mbps download and 12.4 Mbps upload - definitely 4GLTE speeds.
10.) Enjoy

You don't need to go thru any dance on this...my phone has always done this with out changing any thing... T-Mobile in Atlanta..
On my OP 5, VoLTE and VoWifi did work instantly.
All of this was enabled without any effort for me on TMobile.
I am curious though, are you saying that 4G (by itself) is an option for you on preferred network type?
Thailand carrier "AIS" Follow step notwork!!.

Many retail/unlock mobiles have "Wifi Calling" function but not any menu entry to enable , The APP can check the hidden function and enable it if can use.

I followed the steps, but VOLte and WiFi calling even is not working. Furthermore the options are not displayed.
T-Mobile Germany.
My old Samsung S7 EDGE working fine with VOLte and WiFi calling at the same SIM card.
Is there any fix for this on my OP5?

Can't make calls using 2 sims one after another without changing settings

Is there is any fix for this issue
-> I faced this issue in los 15.1 ROM
Every time I need to switch on or off 4g enhanced in mobile networks for making calls
-> 4g enhanced option is common for both sims why?
If I turn it off for one sim . It Automatically gets turn off for other sim
Eg : if you want to call from Jio you need to put 4g enhanced On if not you can't call using Jio . And if you want to call from non Jio ( or 3g Sims or 2g ) you need to turn it off . Then only it is working
Everytime i can't goto settings and change native calling option or turn on/off 4g enhanced and reboot or put on airplane mode and off it for selecting other sim as native calling
Any workaround for this ? If any please provide here. It is much needed one
Hope any developer look in to this issue and fix it as early as possible
Thanks in Advance !!

Incoming/ Outgoing call problem while on 4G network with no volte support.

I have recently bought the MI A1. While buying itself it was updated to the latest may patch.
The problem is while on 4g network, I cannot receive nor make any phone calls. For calling I have to manually switch to 3g/2g mode from *#*#4636#*#* menu. Is this a normal behavior of this phone as my other phone swiches to 3g while incoming/ outgoing calls and back switches to 4g after the call is finished.
PS: my network doesn't support volte. Phone is manufactured on Feb 2018, it's not modified by any means.
That's not normal behavior.
I've never seen a phone where You have to switch between 3G/4G/LTE for calls and data.
Can You try a SIM-card from another service provider to see if it behaves differently?
If You check at https://willmyphonework.net/ are all bands supported with Your provider?
Or, in worst case of course, try a factory reset and see if that makes any difference...
Set to 3g/4g in *#*#4636#*#* menu.
Airtel doesn't support volte in all circles yet. Only rolled in few circles. In 3g/4g mode, it'll be mostly in 4g mode if nw strength is good & switch to 3g when you call or receive a call
