Thought so far:
Speed is great;
Camera works (Samsung stock)
Face unlock works
No video call
In call screen is Samsung stock
Theme manager check boxes are to big
LPH Kernel
Settings->security->Enable Access control->Protect apps mode->Select app = FC sileshnair
Setting>sound>default notification>silent = FC iekansh

Downloading it ATM. I wonder what bugs does it have? Propably the same that are in CM9.
Edit: Okay its booting up
stock Samsung boot sound. Stock camera app, which is a bit unstable just after boot. Video recording works. Stock fm app which I cant test now.

Its not based on CM9 AFAIK. Its based on Samsung ICS rom.

So the V4 doesn't support the old themes?

Also, I don't think miuiandroid is the test build because they have mentioned it with nexus s but not with i9100 in their post.

So far, awesome. Need to play with it a bit more to know of issues. No FC's. sdcard mount works.
Access control ->FC. Known issue it seems.
Chinese in stock lockscreen.

I tried to change DPI and I got stuck at yellow triangle screen

my first impression (only 15 minutes) :
fast, stable, no FC's.
I'm restoring now with Titanium Backup but I unmounted SD to avoid problems..but first impression...GREAT.

Some users in Chinese beta says that this has been fixed. Try it and report if all is ok. Hope it has been solved in Global too.

You can try to update it in TWRP but do a FULL INTERNAL STORAGE backup before it because I got error here and had to do a clean install

Noted. backup done, however if i do update in TWRP and encounter error, what step should i do to do clean install? put the .zip in sd card? this is my secondary phone, not worry about data lost anyway just like to try new stuff.

What is encryption in this rom bro? Anything we need to worry about as a normal user ?

i am on MIUI 8 Global Beta v6.8.18 with locked bootloader can i flash this through updater app and whats the matter with encryption will it cause problems

flash the file linked below (the xda one ) then you are good to flash the rom using twrp

use twrp the updater app will give you a error

how do i use decryption zip file: flash rom, flash zip, wipe data then reboot?

I am on global beta 6.8.18, can I update to this using updater app?

When watching a video, the backlight of the touch buttons automatically lights after 1 minute. Workaround: Settings - Advanced settings - Buttons - Hardware buttons - Put a check mark "Backlight buttons when you touch"

My Experience
* Unistall layers (substratum layers) before updating the ROM (dirty flashing) it may cause interface crash and bootloop.
* I don't flash every builds (around 1-2 per week)

how about game? i was using build 301 but its lagg when playing game, also scrolling a bit laggy too, does in the latest build fixed? and may i know if it still using gpu 19mhz in idle?

The kernel is modified, in performance app use an other mode to play games. BTW I don't play this much games but noticed nothing about lag in scroll (using 0306 build with FrancoKernel)

what app you use to install google play services?

It's not booting, did you do anything additional to boot this rom?

Use zcx twrp 3.0.2 and install rom, zcx twrp install rom and working .

you need to do factory reset after pressing "Cancel" in the password screen.
Warning: This will remove all of your data in your internal storage.
I just tested the rom. It's working as smooth as butter. I didn't got heating issues, and random crashes like mentioned above. Only problem is It's Android 7.0, but It doesn't matter much, everything is same with MIUI 10. Also I didn't detect any bugs, call voice is good, fingerprint works.

Yeahh....damn....maybe that would change something....WE DESERVE MORE SUPPORT FOR OUR PHONE....where is costumer service?where is that damn support from Xiaomi....maybe they can change their MIND.....

In the mean time, what's the best oreo custom rom now? I'm thinking using one. Maybe the right question is, what's the main difference between these roms? i.e. los, rr, aex, crdroid, vipor?

if you wont succeed booting , flash lazyflasher right after flashing rom . you dont have to change twrp recovery. this way worked for me.

Could please help me, I stuck on boot. I even installed the TWRP from your link, but the same thing, it's not booting.

Hello Everyone Already Some of you are being confused about that weather the Slow read/write speed and Low antutu benchmark in mem section is a hardware bug. Then you are completely wrong . mi 6x using same hardware with faster emmc .
Today I flashed miui 9 on my Mi A2 and tested the antutu benchmark and read/write speed.
My Storage is 4+64 Gb

With a fresh install of any rom. There is no problem. And please raise the test file in Androbench from 64MB to 512MB then test again.
And then wait few days then try to chrome caches, if u had not any problem then its software

6x and A2 is same device .....you can switch both roms . but i will suggest you to buy 6x.

I am not big fan of miui ,yes I bought the A2 for stock Android but when it fails to delivers the performance and stability there is no other way without Miui.

If you can reproduce the issue consistently, do the community a favor and submit a Bug Report via Xiaomi:

While swapping to MIUI 9 might be a workaround, it's not a fix. We need more pressure on Xiaomi to properly address their implementation of Android One.

Its a software bug, I had MIUI 10 installed and there was no such memory slowdown, even clearing Chrome's cache was in a split second, changing back to Android One and yeah, its definitely a ROM issue.

Still not fixed in December patched Pie....
