With a fresh install of any rom. There is no problem. And please raise the test file in Androbench from 64MB to 512MB then test again.
And then wait few days then try to chrome caches, if u had not any problem then its software

since mi a2 on Android one is buggy, would it make sense to get mi 6x instead?

he asked you about the bug and you responded that you like miui
so... what about the bug? did it come back? can you test your speeds again and share with us? pretty please?

@ARNOB XENON
If you can reproduce the issue consistently, do the community a favor and submit a Bug Report via Xiaomi:
https://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=bugfeedback&fid=5&page=1
While swapping to MIUI 9 might be a workaround, it's not a fix. We need more pressure on Xiaomi to properly address their implementation of Android One.

Its a software bug, I had MIUI 10 installed and there was no such memory slowdown, even clearing Chrome's cache was in a split second, changing back to Android One and yeah, its definitely a ROM issue.

Still not fixed in December patched Pie....

Terrible. They released the phone on lollipop last year only to update it to 6.0 and now no Nougat update. Knew it back then when they released it with lollipop on 2016.
be positive guys maybe they release late of a month or maybe coming on line of September october or maybe end of Year

MIUI is bloated but I think it's optimised. Stock apps run faster in MIUI as compared to custom ROMs. I am using a custom ROM though.

What stock apps? Example? I have two devices with me, RN4 on MIUI and RN3 on LOS, can create a video to compare. I'm waiting for stable roms to flash on RN4 (current custom roms are still buggy) and I will completely forget about the crappy MIUI.

nope. i experience signal fluctuations when connected to WIFI.
It's a chinese company so it was to be expected, don't act all surprised. The only reason I bought this phone is because it has a large custom ROM community so I don't have to rely on the manufacturer to update my phone. In fact, Lineage OS is better than MIUI could ever hope to be, I've been running Nougat since January and I'm sure we'll get Android O LOS so who cares about Xiaomi and MIUI.

Looks like fake news. Seems it's only about stats on already updated ones. Also check http://en.miui.com/thread-679299-1-1.html
It says "The image above was shared on MIUI's Weibo to update users about which Mi devices have updated based on Android N. Some tech sites reported that it's the list of eligible devices for MIUI 9. It's fake news as well. Most of them are click baits and you should be aware of it."
all we need is updated kernel source not creepy ****ty miui
We may still get Nougat and this isn't about devices getting Nougat anyway, it's about devices with Nougat already.
I so gave a go at translating with Google translate and it shows in the 7.1 section that the Mi6 is there, that already has Android 7.1 so it is definitely a list of devices with Android N already
dont give a damn to miui :silly:
There are viper, nitrogen, aex,rr,purenexus, aosip, bliss, cirtus and plenty of beast rom s out there. And right now using viper os.Miui will never catch the speed of this rom.pretty happy with this super stable rom

Does this fix the CPU max frequency bug??? on october 11th a xiaomi dev replied to a forum and said they have reproduced the bug and reported it to qualcomm and also said qualcomm is working on it. That was on the 11th. It was a very simple bug to fix and i hope this means this patch has the fix. it shouldnt have taken qualcomm more than 1 day to fix that issue.

Haha you obviously have no idea about software development. Fixes need to be tested internally, tested with beta testers, then certified and finally it may be rolled out. This certainly takes longer then one day if a company is serious about quality control.. And how do you know if a bug is simple to fix? It might be tens of thousands lines of code, the bug might be a typo, a wrong command chain, or an interplay of several things so no one external can judge if its simple. Hardware drivers are especially not easy.

To say I have no idea about software development is funny, considering I'm a software developer and studied software engineering in college. I'm very aware of what you are saying, but clearly Xiaomi isn't very structured when it comes to quality control. They are probably not even doing much testing. They said they are waiting for Qualcomm to fix it. I know the problem is rather simple since a manual setting of the minimum frequencies fixes the problem. I've tested this with kernel auditor. It seems to be a very simple issue to fix

Final point about Mi A2 memory problem

After yesterday update I was waiting for a solution for the mi a2 read/write speeds problems, but.. I think it's really a hardware problem!
today I successfully converted it to the latest MIUI 10 from xiaomi.eu, but unfortunately phone still laggy like I'm running it with 2GB RAM

In stock rom I get very lower score and cache cleaning bug.But In miui I never get a single lag and cache cleaning bug.
---------- Post added at 12:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:23 PM ----------
Getting lower score is not bug it is normal. The bug is lagging and cache cleaning delay.
If you want higher score close wifi, all other apps and test the read write speed. It will satisfy u .

•The port is very stable.
•No samsung keyboard or bixby.
•Camera works perfectly with wide selfie feature.
•Live focus(Bokeh) doesn't work. Use Gcam (Nothing major)
•Fonts/screen size can be changed by changing dpi (380-420) in developer settings.
PLEASE NOTE this thread is open to all q&a regarding the port. If you find a fix to any problem please post and share with fellow xda members.

Live focus is Samsung's bokeh/portrait mode. Yes camera works fine. Gcam works normal as well. Screenshots updated

Do not update software. Might brick. If you accidentally updated software. Use fastboot to flash stock zui rom.

The battery backup is around 5hrs+ sot. Similar to miui. I cannot post sgsi if i haven't tried it, and i dont think i am gonna try oneplus port anytime soon. But most sgsi's follow similar procedures to install.

Nice ??
wallpaper back to default every restart
Installation instruction tells us to use narshi shuckls's ROM for Vendor. Narshi shuckla has used moxie kernel. But in your screenshot shows prototype kernel. Did you use any other ROM as treble base or is the screeshots are from another device?
