As a lot of us are using GSI roms on our A2. I was hoping we can create a list of working GSI roms on MI A2 as a lot of them have few things broken for our device. Kindly share your personal experience so that a list can be updated on the opening post of this thread, which would help us selecting the stable ROM for our device.

Recently, I have purchased Xiaomi Mi A1. Also, I have rooted the device. I want to install Android oreo [custom ROM] in that device. can anyone upload the ROM? Please? Waiting for the ROM from 1 week.
There r no roms availabile for it yet.. let's wait for the developers. The issue is that it's a A/B partition..some developers have tried twrp but let's wait patiently & watch.

I've seen few days ago a new that has shown up about Xiaomi releasing official firmware source code for Xiaomi Mi Max 2!
This is really great news and I hope that there will be ROM porters soon!
Beside this I have seen that ported LOS by @xuefer thread is locked due to not complying with GPL but maybe he is interested into continuing his work on LOS?
I love device but I hoped for a bit more development. It really ticks many points in terms of hardware.

no worries, development is slowly but surely starting now we have RR, LOS, AOKP, Mokee OSP for AOSP based roms already, so thats nice plus a ton of MIUI based custom roms. im sure it will only get better from here on out!
btw, why did u open this thread in the ROM section...? this fits probably better in the guides/news/discussion section...

Came across this recent "hennessy" (MediaTek) ROM while searching for porting candidates for my mt6795 none MiUi device.

Is it safe to flash dev version 8.4.26 on 9.6.1.0 stable version with locked bootloader? And how to do it? I think I have vendor rom because i don' t have OEM unlocking option in developer options. Is it affect to posibility to safetly flash my redmi note 3 mtk?

Why would you want to flash a custom rom now? In any case, you should do alot of reading up instead of asking day 1 questions. There are many discussions here and on the official forum on the problems with pie.

Yes it is possible. Do the things beneath:
backup your files, install twrp, join redmi note 7 telegram group for support. Download links can be found there, just ask in chat, someone will answer at some point . Good luck
