Volte(jio) temporary fix for india on pie 9.0 roms for xiaomi mi 5 and other devices - Xiaomi Mi 5 Themes, Apps, and Mods

I spend lot of to find this solution because there is not higher number of Indian developer on xda
Solution is that you have to install ims.apk (attached below) after every reboot. This is not permanent solution but don't take too much time to install this apk after reboot.

my problem is weird one it was in all miui 8 rom and now on miui 9 also
The problem is when I use single sim with jio my jio4gvoice always say connecting or offline but when I use dual sim jio4gvoice shows online. I tried every possible solution i.e add apn, change to manual network, etc etc nothing works.
This bug is only present in all miui rom. All the flyme rom and nougat base rom works very well.
Please can anybody post any solution.
Where is the kernel available in this site?

Bro .. I feel ashamed for the same . Sorry
This is duplicate thread also asking for a donation for other's development. Orginal Thread is: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/how-to/enable-faceid-redmi-note-4mido-running-t3753423
The face unlock used to work very good in older miui versions but after miui 9.8.3.29 many problems have arrised. The settings app is crashing if you manage the face data, open the mobile hotspot settings and can't open the storage option. Please can anyone make the updated zip file.

Final info about possibility to enable Camera2APi on MiNote3 without root

Hi,
I read a lot in this forum and in other sites about the possibility to enable Camera2API on our fantastic MINote3 phone but, at the end, I don't understand if is possible to enable che Camera2API WITHOUT root the device. Can someone give me a final answer about this question ?
PS
If the answere is "yes, is possible without root", then other questions are:
is ok this method https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/how-to/tool-google-camera-root-magisk-enable-t3747585/page10 (see post 98) or is only ok for MI A1 ? Are there other methods ?

If you can install TWRP you can enable it without rooting your system, as TWRP has root priveliges while it is running.
Here you can find a zip file to flash in TWRP to enable it.
I have used it.

Yes, I have done it myself on Mi Note 3 running the latest Xiaomi.eu weekly 8.4.26.
I have also done it on Mi Max Prime, Mi Mix, and Mi Note 2.
If you had read the whole thread you would have seen my posts.

Thank you soo much for all your informations.
Only one question: is necessary to flash the twrp on the device or is enough to load the twrp via the command "fastboot boot twrp.img" ?

It "should" work to only boot into TWRP without flashing it.
That is if you do not want to install TWRP, just use it once.
The next time you reboot, your new TWRP will be gone again.
I have not tried this myself.
I will try the procedure where I only boot twrp (without flash it) then will try to enable camera2api parameters on built.prop and also change permission of this file (with su permission).
I will update this thread with a feedback about the operation
Hi,
finally I enable Camera2API on Mi Note 3 (with last official global rom) WITHOUT root the device. These are my tasks:
- unlock the bootloader (with MI official utility) and lost all my data
- flash TWRP Red Wolf then run it and, to give the right access to the partitions, I wipe and format my device from the TWRP menu and reboot the device
- Then, from TWRP, I install "HZQ_MIUI_Camera_Mod_CAMERA2_API_170824.zip"
Thanks Cobben for the good informations
PS
Now I use GCam5.1.018-Arnova8G2-V1.2.apk and run very well. The quality of the night shoots is better a lot respect xiaomi default camera
I add that with gcam the videos are better that xiaomi cam:
- less nois
- better color
- much details
Then, at the end, gcam become the main camera app on my device (and I will use xiaomi cam only for boken effect or camera zoom)

Hi, I installed the Xiaomi.eu rom and installed also the Google camera (v.7.9.4 - everything is working correctly even the Slow motion). I can say that the Miui camera is on par with Google camera or a level down. The Miui camera uses the algorithm in the open-source Gcam app. You can try the Xiaomi.eu rom which is based on China rom - it is great.
In my case instead I use the last global 9.5.3.0 and gcam is the best

@althafvly you might get help here.
I am more than willing to test but I use lux as a daily driver for a 10 to 12 hour day almost daily.
Guys let the squid solve the bugs in the nougat. That device tree will be taken forward to oreo and maybe pie also. Just wait. There are errors in the audio Hal in official nougat lineage thread. The developer used the audio Hal built from source. Initial source tells he was successful. But someone from thread told that it's not working. When I asked him to submit the logs he just vanished lol. That happens. People don't want the developer to help with troubleshooting with errors but want everything in classy way. Install lineageOs and if you found bugs help the Developer with the logs. Just wait he said oreo will come.

Development

As this has very similar specs to laurel_sprout(Mi A3) and the kernel source code has been released by Xiaomi, I am going to work for this device by bringing TWRP and some custom ROMs to it. As I do not own the device, I will need one tester at least to help me test my works regurarly. Therefore, I made a official Mi CC9e Telegram group to discuss with my testers with ease and to keep everyone updated faster. Just search for Mi CC9e, you'lll find it.
Kernel source code: https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource/tree/laurus-p-oss
As soon as I'll get some tester(s) with the bootloader unlocked, I'll get right on working on this.
Regards,
any udpdate for micc9e with global rom (MIA3 eu)
I hear, unlike Mi A3, CC9e is A (not A/B). correct?
what is this A/B.this is from 4pda?what they mean A-B there?

A/B is a Google concept and means (at least) vendor system boot and modem partitions are present twice so one can do seamless upgrade which falls back to previous in case it fails.
Hey! I'd like to help out. However, I cannot find your telegram group. Could you put the link of group here? So that we can help you more easily.
By the way, Mi cc 9e is almost the same as Xiaomi A3. They even share the codename (laurus). I wonder if the Android One could be ported to Mi cc 9e. (I really hate MIUI)
pls pls some port for cc9e,
