[ICONS] TallMin

Firstly let me make clear that I have taken inspiration from SimpText by UltraLinx, you can find his thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742449
I loved the idea he had created, very simple and minimalistic, however on my Desire the icons were just too small to be useful for me. Very kindly, UltraLinx also provided the PSD file he based his icons on. From this I amended the colours, the font, the size, as well as some more font options.
The end result is as follows:

Generic navigation icon would be nice (maybe "Car Navigation"?) and also icon for Talk ("Google Talk"?).

Nice set of icons. What is the font used? Is it a free font? Can you post a link to get it if it's free? if not, can you make a blue set?

The font is 'agency fb'. It's not meant to be free but it can be found with a bit of googling

The first is a little darker than two
I like it..
I would like to see the first one with transparent corners(we are in 2013.And we can make a no tetragonized-squared banner)
Like a logo...

the brightness of the text might not look much difference but it is still quite a difference.
@OP..go for 2:good::good::good: it is simple, blue (cool color...warm colors are not that good like in 11th banner), good, not very big..like others, in other banners either text or image attracts sight rather then the whole banner..so 2nd is best to go with

5-9 have no change in design...true but the color of text is different in them too.. if you observe closely.

the difference in the colors are the 3 holo colors (light, dark, bright) and the color of the android

Is this the actual size of them??

they were made in this size to keep them sharp whatever you do with them but like eagleeyetom said, they will be resized to "use" them

Ok, its for sure disturbing to see that huge banners when browsing the forum and smaller banners are more elegant.
Btw i voted for 12. Adding sth at the background of it will be perfect.
And as a general suggestion, you can circle the corners as mentioned at the previous posts, and you can add some outline or some shadow to the banner to make it more "bannerish"

yes i saw that too........and that is what i was telling in that post....
anybody who cannot see the difference should get their eyes tested

The edges aren't as smooth as I would like them to be, but I didn't have much time and really wanted to modify my original banner to address the two comments about the squared outline.

What is your personal settings?
This setting is very confusing for me, it is useless.

All you can do is positioning the ring. I like the setting with the ring put near camera icon, but its not that easy.

i've set the ring in the middle..in that position it loses too much blue colors...and a bit above yours...too dark for me in that position.
that tool is a good idea but is too hard to set...

This is mine. Just trying to kill a little but of the washed out look. Screen is kind of a letdown, but this helps a bit.

What's the point of your comment? I think the point of the thread is stated well, and it's legit. I'm also curious what people are setting their color correction too.

Here's mine. I'm very happy with it.

I would rather prefer a tool to set the white level of the screen.
Compared my G3 to the wife's G2 today, my screen is very pinkish, hers is a perfect white, this is the only concern I do have with my G3

So one thing I have noticed is vertical adjustments change black and white and horizontal adjustments change color. Try making a setting and toggle on and off to compare, i like to go through my app drawer to see if the dark colors are too shaded. Another thing i do is use a reference like xda in chrome to see if the brown and yellow theme looks like it does on my laptop for a good consistency and nice deep color. I'm sitting at the camera icon as well but thought I'd share some ideas on testing and using visual references on things you've seen across different displays to know correct color tones.

Horizontal does hue..... which will more or less completely screw up your phone's color balance
Vertical does the contrast. Go into your laptop display or monitor and crank the contrast, your colors will start to haze and wash out a bit. Dropping it a smidge should make the blacks a bit more, well, black and your colors pop a little bit more.
It's be much nicer to have granular controls of the different colors... but at least this is something.

Thanks for clearing up the hue and contrast part. I was going off of what i saw from trial and error and wasn't 100% sure of the effects of hue and contrast.

Yeah.... Hue is better known as "Why the F does my screen look like a smurf on an acid trip puked on my screen?" Any adjustment to that needs to be extremely fine and each color needs to be discrete. An all-in-one slider is about as useful as that HUE knob that us old-timers used to have on our televisions. Made everything look like a cheesy alternative music video from the early 80's.

Doesn't this affect the entire screen and the whole phone? Apps included?

anyway even if this is not possible i know that this issue will be fixed soon either by atl4ntis or buy having more themes that support google dialer and contacts as people love cataclysm and will start theming it asap

Themes are good thing. But I'd like to find a theme which isn't monochrome. I like the different color in different apps.
By now I like miui light, only the settings. And WhatsApp theme, to make it look a little better.

You can combine different layers, just need to be carefull with framework layers as it might theme some apks too.

Hello guys. Good idea to create this thread to remove some clutter from the development thread..
I have a question if a good fella can point me to the right direction.
I'm looking for a complete Black theme (with the black drawer and all), but I can't find one because nobody uses the original Teal color.
Closest thing I liked was the Blackish Layers Theme by gmax1911. I can't combine it with a different theme like Timberwolf because he uses different dark color but the original Teal for his main icons.

Not many people are theming velvet and that controls Google now launcher. Check out outer space or midnight in the play store they however don't support Google dialer at the moment. And tbo gapps for an inverted Google now.

Another thought which I used to do is take the material black theme that chaos put together and remove everything but contacts dialer and velvet then use one of the black layers for the rest.

HTC 10 Weather Clock Themes for your device. This is the first version with more to come.
Instructions:
1. Download the aroma zip
2. Add to your external storage
3. Boot into recovery and flash
4. Choose your clock settings
5. Reboot your device.
There are a few clock themes and number packages to use. Experiment and enjoy.
Huge thanks to my buddy @Basil3 for the use and permission of the aroma installer. As a complicated task, his generosity saved me a month's of work.

As I said in Lee's thread, looks sharp And if you take requests, whenever you get time if you wouldn't mind doing something with highlights with hexcode #ff00a3f6 I would REALLY appreciate it. Nothing special, just highlight colors maybe. Lol, it's an old blue theme hexcode color that I like for whatever reason. Either way, thanks for the themed clocks, kinda rare to find themed Sense anything.

Thanks for the heads-up. That would be a theming oversight, patching from a 9.png. I probably threw the unpatched png in by mistake. Will fix it tomorrow and re-upload the zip with a couple of new themes.

Nice work. Looking forward to more theme options. The only other thing I would like is to have the lettering in the weather match the theme in the clock, not a big deal but it would be a nice touch.

Indeed, that would be a wonderful touch. However, that font is a system font and that wouldn't be an option with aroma VRtheming. Thanks for the feedback.

It's not a MOD for the lockscreen. Lockscreen uses the 4x1 clock. It's a completely different app all together.

Thanks, I looked for the MOD in the tweaks section, of viper to apply and I cant find it.. Sorry for the NOOB questions, just dont know how to activate the clock. It flashed successfully in TWRP , thank god for aroma, otherwise us noobs would be SOL.

Maybe the flash did not take correctly? should the clock automatically be displayed or is ther some other step after the flash to take.
