(Q) Is it possible to flash a T580 rom on a stock T587P (sprint tab a 10.1)? - Samsung Galaxy Tab A series Questions & Answers

I have the sprint model of the galaxy tab A 10.1 (T587p) and wanted to see if it was possible to flash one of the new international Oreo versions that are available on sammobile.
Goal is to remove sprint sprint bloat, as well as getting to latest android version available for these models.
I have researched and can't find anything that says T580 and T587P are not one in the same. If anyone can shed some light would be great.
My plan is to enable OEM unlock and try flashing the latest korean version using odin. I have a backup of the stock T587P ready to flash in case this fails and i have to revert back to stock.
Are there any risks I should be aware of?

[Q] Debranding/flashing of SM-T337V and switching to Europe

Hi,
I am wondering if there are any possibilities to unbrand SM-T337V (Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE from Verizon) and change it's localization setup to European one?
Will stock european ROM for Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE-A (SM-T335, i guess this is pretty much the same device) work properly once flashed into Verizon's SM-T337V tablet? What's the risk involved?
SM-T337V is currently working on KitKat 4.4.4 and i don't see any stock ROM's available for SM-T337V other than US-Verizon (which kind of makes sense) in samfirmware DB. Closest to this one appears to be SM-T335 multi-location (inc. Europe) stock KitKat 4.4.4.
Maybe anyone already did the similar and can share his experiences?
You never shouldnt flash otyer device's firmwar, and odin wont let you becuause you woud brick
Ok, this makes sense, looks that i need to stick to Verizon's branded US localized version of KitKat on SM-T337V.
Other question: is there any sort of way to introduce European localization and language packs on this tab? Sort of changing CSC on Sam phone? (In standard setup, I'm limited to pick from 5 or 6 languages)
Also, is there any way to unlock SIM from Verizon?

How to Return Note 4 Port Evolution back to stock Note 3...

Hi Guys,
I need some advice. I have a Canadian Galaxy Note 3 which I flashed to the Note 4 Port Evolution 3.0 (SM-N900W8)
It is now showing that its a SM-N900T due to the flash.
I have sold the phone but needs to restore it to stock before I can hand it over.
Can someone please help simplify this process. It has been some time since doing this.
Thank you in advance.
Cheers.
Download the latest sock rom from sammobile.com and flash it via Odin, then perform a factory wipe in stock recovery, and the phone should be back to the factory settings.
Audit13,
Thank you for your reply. I was not able to find a firmware for Rogers on Sammobile.com
The latest firmware (top of page) is for Columbia. I did not find one for Rogers in Canada. I assume I cannot use the Columbia firmware.
I know this maybe simple stuff for some guys that is familiar with this. Let me know if I need to find a specific firmware for the Rogers Carrier.
Thanks.
Rogers never had the 900t. All Canadian models are sm-n900w8.

Flash T-Mobile ROM to AT&T S7 Edge variant?

I've heard it's possible to flash the T-Mobile stock ROM to the AT&T S4, since the hardware is identical. I'm wondering if it's also possible on the S7 Edge. My guess is that they'd continue with the identical hardware pattern and it would be possible, but I'd just like to double check. The last thing I want is to brick my $600 phone.
If it is, are there any tricks I should be aware of? Do I need to flash an AT&T kernel?
Thanks!
yes you can
It does work. flash with donateflashing09's odin. Download the tmo firmware (flash the csc, not home csc in the file) youll find here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...ekx-dev-deodex-systemui-3minit-multi-t3411776.
consider using the tekhd custom... his stuff is A+++
doesn't work, keep getting a bad checksum

Need Help Returning to Stock Firmware (SM-G950UZKAXAA); Samsung Cloud

Hello all,
So, my question is regarding attempting to return (or find, really) to Stock firmware on my Galaxy S8 G950U (bought carrier-unlocked via Samsung's site, bloatware free and Samsung Cloud-operational).
In trying to flash VZM firmware to activate Wifi Calling (which I now realize isn't that useful in my situation), I can't seem to be able to change the firmware; no matter what files I load into Odin and flash, I always get the VZM boot (is that the issue; did the firmware lock the bootloader?).
Does a G950U XAA version exist?
I don't suppose Samsung would replace it?
---
And another thing; has anyone been able to successfully enable Samsung Cloud on VZW firmware? I've seen a thread for the S7, but it didn't seem to work.
Thanks in advance

How to reflash SM-T337A to T-mobile firmware?

Hello,
I just got two Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 devices previously used with At&T and now unlocked. But I want them to be used with T-Mo and since I also have a couple of Galaxy Tab 4 from T-mo I want to reflash AT&T devices into T-mo firmware.
Is that even possible? Because I tried to find any tutorial for that but fail.
Can someone give me links or guide on how to do this?
Thank you.
Go to sammobile and looks for your device firmware and install the t mobile variant
(Not sure if installing a different carrier works though)
Hint:you might need the tools attached below
