How to Return Note 4 Port Evolution back to stock Note 3... - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys,
I need some advice. I have a Canadian Galaxy Note 3 which I flashed to the Note 4 Port Evolution 3.0 (SM-N900W8)
It is now showing that its a SM-N900T due to the flash.
I have sold the phone but needs to restore it to stock before I can hand it over.
Can someone please help simplify this process. It has been some time since doing this.
Thank you in advance.
Cheers.

Download the latest sock rom from sammobile.com and flash it via Odin, then perform a factory wipe in stock recovery, and the phone should be back to the factory settings.

Audit13,
Thank you for your reply. I was not able to find a firmware for Rogers on Sammobile.com
The latest firmware (top of page) is for Columbia. I did not find one for Rogers in Canada. I assume I cannot use the Columbia firmware.
I know this maybe simple stuff for some guys that is familiar with this. Let me know if I need to find a specific firmware for the Rogers Carrier.
Thanks.

Rogers never had the 900t. All Canadian models are sm-n900w8.

No, you can't flash a N900A rom on a N900P! You'll brick your phone.

[Q] Carrier Specific ROMs

Hey Guys!
I have a question regarding stock roms. I've been looking at SamMobile for an official release of Lollipop here in Philippines, the only download I can see is for a local carrier Globe. Will it cause problems if I flash this on my international N9005?
I also want to ask the same question for an S4 I9505, but it's the other way around; the phone is from Globe, network locked, and I am thinking of flashing an international version ROM. Will this cause problems? I know this isn't the right forum but just in case someone would like to answer.
Thank you!

1. Yes, you will have problems with the radios. It's not importat where you live that what CSC have your device. Install this APP and look for your CSC. Go to Sammobile.com, look for your csc, download and flash the latest stock rom for your device via ODIN. (Pic attached)
2. Regarding GT-i9505: Yes, it will cause lose of signal. The best you can do is unlock it by IMEI.

I flashed a rom from Brazil. Everything works great it's just that the bloatware included is annoying. I figured the best option to flasha ROM from my country but the only one with a Lollipop ROM is carrier specific.
Samsung allows users to use roms from their own region interchangeably. In most cases, even globally.
I've never encountered issues with radio or signal loss when flashing different providers and countries in my own region, and I've had thousands of people flash and use all sort of different EU firmwares. (you can find the region on the sticker on the box.)
(US users have different devices with real carrier locks, so those are excluded.)

Impossible to unlock?

Hi guys.
I've bought a Note 4 N910W8 locked with Claro (South America) since they are the same that we use in Canada. I ordered the unlock code online and while I was waiting for it, I upgraded it to Cyanogen, the latest stable ROM. When I got code, it didn't work. Tried with another supplier, wasn't able to give me one. BTW, I ordered the international code since I don't know from which country my phone is coming from. So, I was to try with classicunlocking to get a valid code and before they validated my order, it was clearly stipulated that it won't work on phones running modified ROM. Especially Cyanogen ROM... What can I do? Just to put back any Claro ROM and try again? And no :crying: I didn't do any backup of the original one. :crying: Anyone with a link to a valid Claro ROM for a N910W8? Or is there another way? I need a bit of help right now. Thanks SO MUCH in advance.
First go to sammobile and download stock rom according to model and carrier
And this is guide for flashing rom

Put the phone in download mode, and perform an emergency firmware restore via Kies. That should restore it to whatever carrier ROM it was originally on. Carry on at that point.
Using Emergency restore with Kies did the trick! Thanks a lot Duwenbasden, I haven't thought to that one!

New to SM-G900F, advice on stock rom please

Hi Guys,
Whilst I'm new to the SM-G900F, I'm not new to Samsung and Android in general.... I have the N7000, i9100 and i9100P. As well as some other Android devices.
A friend got me this device today, and think it's totally awesome... However it was originally on the Three (UK network) and comes bundled with a lot of the Three Apps and settings....
What I was wondering, what is the best place and STOCK rom to flash this with please, so that it is just GENERIC and unbranded firmware. I'm not looking to custom rom it yet either, want to run it as stock.
I'm currently with EE (EveryoneEverywhere UK) network, and see that I can get an EE firmware from SamMobile.
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G900F/EVR/
Also, what is BTU under SamMobile??
But is there any firmware's that dont have any branding, and just standard stock from Samsung....

Do I just put this phone into DownloadMode, and flash in Odin? Any special settings?? As this is the first device with Knox that I own, and dont want to trip it...
Thanks, Lister
Maybe you can try Darklord N5?
Its stock based on note 5
Very stable and fast
Hmm

How to reflash SM-T337A to T-mobile firmware?

Hello,
I just got two Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 devices previously used with At&T and now unlocked. But I want them to be used with T-Mo and since I also have a couple of Galaxy Tab 4 from T-mo I want to reflash AT&T devices into T-mo firmware.
Is that even possible? Because I tried to find any tutorial for that but fail.
Can someone give me links or guide on how to do this?
Thank you.
Go to sammobile and looks for your device firmware and install the t mobile variant
(Not sure if installing a different carrier works though)
Hint:you might need the tools attached below
