Options for Xperia E4G E2053 when the bootloader can't be unlocked - Sony Xperia E4 Questions & Answers

When I started up this phone I found an app called MTKLOGGER which is logging all my actions on my phone.
I tried to root the phone to delete the logging app but found out that the bootloader can't be unlocked. When I got to the service page, it says: bootloader unlock allowed: no
I don't want a phone that logs everything I do, but I don't know what I can do about this. Is there a way to delete that app? Is there a way to root the phone without unlocking the bootloader? Would there be a way to change to a completely new operating system (or rom, whatever they're called)?

If myXperia is signed in, bootloader will be lockddlocked

I would just like to share an observation I had after playing around with my newly bought z3+! When MyXperia is activated, the bootloader will not be allowed to be unlocked.
While looking around for info on rooting, I decided to check if my bootloader was allowed to be unlocked. To my horror, under the service menu, it stated bootloader unlock not allowed. However I remembered reading that MyXperia service loaded into the bootloader to prevent it's removal, after disabling it, the status changed to bootloader unlock allowed.
That's good info. Thanks!

Sony stated on their website :
"After unlocking your device, you should not enable My Xperia (found in the settings menu under security on some devices running Android 5.0) as this might cause the device to malfunction."
Good finding, but for now Z3+ isn't listed on the Sony open devices in regards to unlock bootloader options.

Bootloader unlock without losing data, is it possible?

I am already unlocked and rooted, but I would like to relock the bootloader assuming that I can unlock it for future updates without losing data. The Nexus 5 had a boot locker app in the App Store which allowed this, but I do not find an option for the 6 P. I'm thinking it may not be possible but thought I would ask. Thank you in advance

No, you can't unlock the bootloader without wiping the device, it's a security feature. I'd advise keeping the bootloader unlocked anyway, if you somehow end up in a boot loop and need to flash the factory images to get the phone booting again you'll be forced to unlock the bootloader. This will wipe the device and you'll have no way to back up your data first. This may seem like an unlikely scenario but it happens more than you'd realise, sometimes randomly, sometimes because an OTA failed for whatever reason. Sure, you don't have the extra security of a locked bootloader but if you actually take care of your device this is a non-issue.

Only thing I can think of is waiting for a hack based root for mm or n and using that to temporarily gain root. Otherwise, just take a bunch of screenshots of prior chats then live with not being able to scroll up and immediately view them.

I don't know specifically about Kik, but you might explore Helium backup. In some situations it can back up apps and app data without root. (By activating the backup using a physical connection to your desktop computer.). Good luck!
The appa should be backed up if you turn that feature on in your Google settings.
You can back up most data with ADB.
Nobody is investing time in root without an unlocked bootloader.
It just doesn't make sense.
Don't lock the bootloader. You can get stuck in an infinite bootloop. If you want to get OTA updates download official firmware for your phone, flash AP, CP, BL and for CSC use HOME file. If you use HOME you won't lose the data, you will lose root but you can get OTA updates!

Unlock bootloader without having access to settings on SM-A510F

So a mate of mine found an A5 recently without any identification on it. Thought he might as well keep it himself else it'll just be useless.
Problem is the phone's stuck in the initial setup so he asked me to unlock it. My plan was to install TWRP, wipe everything completely and flash the firmware again. I can't get to the settings to access the OEM unlock though. Is there any way to unlock the bootloader and/or get TWRP on there so I can completely wipe the phone?
Same situation here... How did it turned out?

Deny permissions for using my data after bootloader has been unlocked

Once I've bootloader unlocked, before installing any other OS, can I deny all of the permissions about my personal data I gave to MIUI in order to get permission to unlock it - or will it lock the bootloader again?
When I switch to another OS, will MIUI have access to my data (for example, my email)? What about my location and other things?
Sorry if my questions might sound stupid, I'm quite new to this.
No, they will not lock the bootloader again until you lock using mi flash tool(pc app), and the permission s you given got nothing to do with your personal data.

root locked phone (or way to remove lock)

I have this phone and forgot the pattern now I cannot unlock it. It is already on my google account from before it was locked but it looks like there is no way to unlock it without the correct pattern. I tried google's device manager but I don't see any unlocking options although it does locate it and I can make it ring. Is there a way to root this phone over adb and then remove or change the pattern lock?
