Managed to get my J5 2016 510FN down to the April 2017 security patch, anyone knows a way to downgrade even more or use fake gps with this security patch??
I moved the app to system/app but it still didn't work..

Should be no problem, as long as you DON'T flash "GPT.BIN" and "BOOTLOADER.IMG". Just remove them from the common flash batch file.
But why would you want to go back to Marshmallow? Nougat battery backup for example isn't worth compared to Marshmallow and you
would have June or July (can't remember) 2017 security patch, which isn't a good idea at all.
And the most important: You can't use any OTA updates after flashing Marshmallow, it would brick your device!
Has anyone received the approved Oreo firmware on their devices? If so, any notable bugs?
Well, i think apart Russian and Chinese models no one else has reveived Oreo. Also because it will be initially avaible from 31 July in Italy, then i guess, the rest of Europe.

if you want to get oreo just open threads that WERE made for it. If not, just wait for it to come
I like the idea of a thread that isn't littered with a load of tech geniuses engaging in baffling conversations about flashing Oreo via root software that I will never understand or attempt to use. I only run stock firmware and appreciate conversation about the progress of the rollout and a simple 'noob' thread makes sense to me. Just my opinion.

How do you know Oreo will be available in Italy on 31 July ?
I guess that if it is available in Italy ir will be in France/Germanyu/Spain/etc at the same time

I cant update my nokia 5. I tried to root my device. But it gonna soft brick. Then I flash my phone from nokia customer care. After that I never security patch or system update. I've used security patch december 2018. Please help me.

I also do not have the update yet, probably because it's still not available for my region.
I'm not so sure about yours, as you have tried to root it.. But if you indeed flashed your phone with a fresh os, then that may not be the case.

Finali Ive officially updated to android pie with security patch January 2019. ?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I've been scouring the forums and other varients are supported, but this one doesn't seem to be. Am I able to root? S8 plus with Jan 2019 security patch and 8.0. Thanks
