I also received the new 181 firmware today. However I am yet to feel any improvements.

Just got my alert for it too. But I have learned, the hard way, to wait for others to go first.
Just make sure you uninstall any Substratum themes before you take the update.
Also ALWAYS have a good reliable connection. Bad service is the number one way an OTA gets botched up. It fragments the download and can cause all sorts of wonky stuff.
Just did the download myself. Installed fine. No issues.
Camera has a new live focus helper... Seems a bit useless, but I guess if people were having big issues with it then it might be helpful.
Also just for anyone who is interested

I updated about an hour ago without issue, but I had that camera feature before today. It appeared after I did a factory reset about two weeks ago.
Anyone know if this had the KRACK fix in it? Verizon's got this in their update along with the Nov Sec update and Live Focus update, just last week .
I've had a issue with the gallery since the update before this one. When scrolling through it randomly jumps back up or is almost unresponsive to my touches. The only way to scroll smoothly is by using the blue scroll button on the side. It's incredibly frustrating! I've done a factory reset and and it still occurs, even after this update.
It only occurs in the gallery app btw

In the settings menu of the Gallery app, are the first two settings turned on? I think this happened on mine a while back (although I'm not sure I'm remembering correctly) and I turned off the Samsung cloud sync and image analysis and it stopped. If this doesn't work, I must be thinking of something else. Sorry.
Edit: I have all the options in settings turned off and my gallery seems ti be working smoothly.
Faceunlock still broken for me with exchange EAS
No update for me yet. Anyone else still yet to receive?

Camera zoom is slow / can't quick reply or expand notifications on locked screen

So I have this phone since september 2017 and the thing I noticed is that when I zoom in and out it responds after 1-2 seconds. I compared it with p8 lite model 2016 and its zoom was faster than the p10 lite model. I updated my EMUI5/Android7(Nougat) to EMUI8/Android8 on thursday, 19th of July with hope that it would fix this problem but unfortunately it didn't.
For the notification problem, it appeared after upgrading my OS and hopefully it'll get fixed in future system updates.
I hope you people can help me, thanks in advance!

Notification issues on EMUI 8

Updated OTA about a month ago and it's stock, unrooted and I think I can't even get a bootloader code anymore so that's that.
I get persistent notifications from apps that I delete and they reappear a couple of seconds later.
And Android System complains that *x app is drawing over apps* or *x app is using battery*, turning them off doesn't help (Android System does not care).
Though again it's still 8.0 and not 8.1 so I guess it will be buggy though I didn't expect much of it.
Any ideas on how to shut them up besides waiting for a 8.1 update or rooting(I think I can't anymore anyways?)

Anyone else sluggishness after the Dec 1 2018 security patch update?

Hello,
Anyone else notice a generally more sluggish performance in the phone (slow to switch, delay after pressing buttons, etc.) after installing the recent LG update that brought the security patch level to Dec 1 2018?
Over the past four updates, I noticed a variation in responsiveness. Currently, the phone is sluggish and lacks responsiveness. The immediately previous build/patch was very responsiveness, like how the phone performed initially. Prior to that, the 2nd previous build/patch was also sluggish. And the 3rd previous was very responsive.
So it seems like the pattern recently has been that there was something wrong with a patch to cause sluggishness, they fixed it in a follow-up patch, then they issued another update (current) that is sluggish because it repeated the same mistake as before, and I'm hoping they'll fix it like they did before by issuing yet another patch to address the sluggishness?
Anyone else suffering sluggishness and lack of responsiveness since installing the Dec 2018 patch?
