GT08 - Can I install apps on it? - Other SmartWatches

Recently I've bought an GT08 SmartWatch via aliexpress. I have inserted an SD Card into it but it seems like I cannot install any apps (.vxp) what so ever.
Is it possible to install apps on GT08? Should I update it's firmware? Or I've got scammed?

I hope anyone could help me out and explain to me how to install apps if the GT08 is capable of doing that.

Pls take a look to howto install apps with adb.
Note, not every app is designed for such small displays.
Please also note the Android version on the smartwatch. Hope its not too old.

Did "Renovate Edge" ROM fixed sdcard writing permission problem for marshmallow 6.0?

Did "Renovate Edge" ROM fixed sdcard writing permission problem for marshmallow 6.0?
Some apps cannot write external sdcard on marshmallow system. I have tried apps like "sd card fix" or edit platform.xml manually but it doesn't work.
I see changelogs on ROM Renovate Edge in development form for S7 Edge. It says "Hopefully fixed RW permission to external SD", does this mean that the problem I mentioned has been solved on this ROM? I want to flash this ROM only after confirming the problem is solved because other functions of the ROM is not necessary for me. Is there someone who flashed this ROM can tell me about this? or is there anyway to fix external sdcard write permission on marshmallow system?
You better ask that question right in the ROMs development thread

Slim Profile Head Unit (Alps mid 1008l_emmc)

I can't find any info on these:
eBay link:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/7-Android-5-1-Car-GPS-Navigation-Stereo-Radio-Player-WIFI-AM-FM-hands-free-Call-/382127607438?hash=item58f8948e8e:g:VTEAAOSwTf9ZQQLu
They are very slim and you can recess them all the way into your dash without having to cut up your dash kit to make the stereo fit through the opening.
It is amazing. I bought one simply because of this.
Model: Alps mid 1008l_emmc
Factory Settings Password: 44320
Unfortunately I can't seem to root it.
Also on mine at least, the touchscreen freezes upon waking up from standby.
Because of this I would love to be able to turn off standby mode, but there is no option.
It would be nice to know what options for modifications/tweaks/updates are possible for this unit. Here's some more info if that helps:
mcu is displayed as version 17.04.02_01_130
Also here is the build.prop if that helps in identifying what kind of hardware is in this thing. If others have ideas on ways to identify the hardware (mcu, etc) in this unit that does not involve opening the shell/case (though if I have to I will) I am willing to give it a try.
One Tough Unit to Root
6 months ago, I had Chinese Android Head Unit that was buggy to no end, so I returned it.
I saw this HU as I was looking for drone parts and decide to give it a try.
I've had success rooting every Android device I've owned since the Motorola A855 phone.
I tried every root apk out there, no luck.
Also worth noting, it's WiFi MAC changes every reboot, not good for MAC Whitelist filtering.
And the hardware MAC addy it claims to have comes up as Invalid address.
Hello everyone, it has given me great joy to check that car radio / gps starts to be commented and I hope that also studied its possibilities of ROOT and / or custom recovery, from that moment it will have an economic apparatus and very well mounted , agreed that it has some gaps as it is in the user manual instructions to bring out the "developer options" to mark the USB debugging.
Well, turning around I found an application (USB Debuging) that allows us to access it and mark the options of OEM Unlock and USB Debugging and hope that we start to find the right way.
Now let the cooks get into the game and let us have good news.
PD I attached my MTK_ProjectConfig.mk file from my device so that you can see the total of the original instructions so that you can get something clear from them.
Greetings.

A noob in need

Hello everyone,
I bought an Android radio around 2016/2017, and I was happy with it. It had a few issues but ultimately it was pretty nice. Over the next couple years I only received one update through online download in not long after my purchase, after that nothing. Some apps stopped working so I emailed the company I purchased it from multiple times for help with a few things, and they never emailed me back. Then the military moved me and I lost my car for months, and became super busy. I think the business (elite evolved) has since home it off business. Now I'll get straight to the meet and potatoes, I know like to nothing about computers but I am willing to learn and staying with me head unit seems like a good idea. I don't know what, what the MCU is (I think at first people thought you had to use the one from the specific manufacturer but now they're interchangeable), I think I know what it stands thanks to some fortune forums, I don't know what mtcd, mtce is. I also don't really grasp firmware. I really want to update my radio but I only have the gist on things but there are things I'd like to understand first. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I believe my Android head until is a Dasaita 6.0
You need to go to the settings menu and see what that says at about device and note all the information there, it will say something about the main processor i.e. rk3188 or something and the MTC version (b c d )
You will need the basics to get further on looking for an update

I think there also is a part that says what device you have, like rk3188 or px3 or px5, something like that

Your MCU is an MTCE, meaning that it is a 64bit unit and it is a PX5.
I guess you cannot find a straightforward brand upgrade for your device, but as it is a PX5 MTCE you can choose from several custom ROMs from Malaysk and HAL9K. They have ROMs for Android 6.0.1 and for Android 8.0.0, with upgrade paths (in most cases).
So concluding: You are on android 6, but it might even be possible to upgrade to Android 8.
Please read carefully before you do anything.
Personally I'm on a FYT unit and do not know much about the MTC(D)(E) units

That's why I mentioned to carefully read these threads. They explain how to do that. It is useless to repeat what they have already written.
Otherwise search Youtube for Hal9K and Malaysk.

Do read carefully! And then again!
For example: In the HAL9K it clearly describes:
If you have Android 6 installed:
This method is also suitable for a full recovery of HU with Android 8 or 6 if it does not boot, including even in recovery.
Download and unpack the archive Hal9k_Mod_3.x_Android_6.0_upgrade.rar
Insert the SD card into the card reader. It is desirable to use a small card, 2-4-8 GB.
..........
........... etc.

Seems pretty obvious to me.

What type of unit do I have? It is marketed as a 12.1" Tesla Style. It is in a 2019 Toyota Tundra SR5 I know it is PX-3. I would really like to find the engineer codes for BT settings to adjust the microphone. It is clear but very faint on the other end. What custom ROMS from here could I run?

Help getting my lenovo tab 4 10 plus x704v back to stock rom

I recently got the unofficial LOS 17.1 running on my tablet and I realised that some apps aren't compatible with the current state of the tablet. I got twrp running on my tablet, but in the process I made my tablet think it's a x704a instead of x704v, which made a mess out of everything. Reason I did this is because its the twrp version which I can actually get working on this tablet. And now I would really like to get back to my previous rom but it's still a mystery to me how I got here in the first place. This is my first time rooting a device and I have no idea how to use QPST/QLIF or whatever it's called.
I downloaded the firmware from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/thinkpad-tablet/general/stock-roms-verison-lenovo-tab4-10-t3921073 but I have no idea which files in the folder to use for the flashing. I also get sahara errors using QPST which I really don't know how to handle. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated
If possible I would also like my stock recovery back and if anyone could point me in the direction of where I could find one it would be great
Did you try Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant?

It#' pretty easy. Just rollback to your backup, which you made before
Or you checkout the link. This looks like all versions of tab4 are included.
