Enable ARdraw with Fake GPS - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Themes, Apps, and Mods

If you want to try out ARdraw from Galaxy Store, you'll need to physically be in a Samsung Event store to be able to draw with augmented reality. But if you can't go there... well you still can: activate dev options, install a Fake GPS app, enable it under dev options, and set your "position" to this location : https://goo.gl/maps/p6yvpwWdCBv
Then run ARdraw, and it should let you use the app like if you're right there Then you can uninstall the Fake GPS, once it's been enabled it's permanent.

ARDraw for Samsung Members?

Nice. Good find. Installed Hola gps from play store and this worked.
I'll tool around with it tomorrow on a road trip and see what it can do.

Just tried and this is what I got.

You need to turn on Location even if you want to fake it.

Yes Sir I have it on , also enabled allow mock locations enabled.
Don't know if having a note 8 makes a difference.

Nice share! I use Halo gps and it works...

So, I did this tonight a little late (a month later) but it still works and after stopping mock location ARDraw still works...
Don't know why this isn't enabled by default but it is an easy workaround...

Is there any cool stuff or just bullsht?_

You can draw on video in real time... Haven't had a great deal of time to play but there may be a practical use for this...

I am begging someone to look into some app that can fool the 'Geolocation' on the nexus one and report a different location. So anytime an app checks my location using wifi , it will bock that. Sort of like a proxy, but not for the webrowser, rather for the phone itself.
Kind of what market enabler does, but for the phone as a whole
I really would like NBA League pass to work in Canada, and even US residents would like to view games that are blacked out in thier home towns.
The iphone has the same problem but its been hacked ages ago, with an app called 'Fake Location'
I will glady donate any $ neccessary, I'm sure its not a very hard task but its just not very famous/ demanded feature
Thank you, Samer.

Fascinate gps is oficially useless

Our worst nightmares have come true, the Fascinate GPS is as fcuked as it is on the other variants. Same behavior too - works for a time and then totally fails.

Ya. Thats pretty unfortunate.
Without GPS its useless for me
Well it works, but only for a day or two before you have to restart the phone, I've been having to do that on my Droid. But Im not making excuses, I've read that Samsung is going to have a fix shortly.

so much for hoping the Fascinate would ship with froyo but now i have to wait for this fix? how is it possible that the samsung epic had a fix?
Verizon better not be disabling gps in order for the to sell their agps VZ navigator crap
So it works as long as you reboot the phone from time to time?
Has anyone tried running the fascinate gps with VZ NAvigator?
So can u download google maps and use that? That may or may not be the dealbreaker for me, someone who knows please answer this question for me as i was planning on being the first one in the store on thursday and they are already holding one for me
Edit: i understand gps sucks, i still want to have google maps tho.

It comes with Google maps. Yes GPS doesn't work the best, but its good enough for me. Never not found me and directs me where to go. Yes could be better but its not useless. I use mine daily.
I've read the GPS problem is software based, something the way its calculating something is wrong, idk.. Samsung is saying they are going to fix it through a software patch, if that's the case, wouldn't rooting and installing stock Froyo or another ROM fix this issue?
iv been using the fascinate for a week now and yes the bing being the main search engine is annoying. and the bing maps does find me it usually takes 60sec or less. bt it does not give voice guided directions. i did install google maps and you can search fine and it finds you right away bt when you go to navigate option it will search and never come up just gives you the route turn list no voice guidance. bt playing with the phone if you go into the navigation app that installs with google maps and do your search in that and do the navigate it will do voice turn by turn. im pretty happy this is working. it still annoys me that bing is on the phone in the first place it belongs in the garbage.
I can wait for the GPS fix. Everything else about this phone is so amazing. Especially that GPU.

Based on my examination of the system dump, your SUPL settings are still defaulted www.spirent-lcs.com. Change those to supl.google.com, port 7276, secure sockets off, turn AGPS on by changing mode to MS Based, and see how it works. There are further driver level improvements coming. On my Captivate, there is a significant increase in speed of locking and accuracy when going from JF6 to JH2, and that's not the final fix yet.

UPDATE NEVERMIND
1 - Disable "Use Wireless Networks" - Settings / Location & Security
2 - Dial *#*#1472365#*#*
3 - Under "Application settings" Change "Operation Mode" to MS Based
4 - Under "SUPL/CP Settings" Change the SERVER & PORT to supl.google.com and port 7276 [ Do not use www. in front of supl]
5 - REBOOT
6 - Turn back on the "User Wireless Networks"
i'm not sure if this applies to everyone, but from what i've tested gps works perfectly in google maps. it shows my location to the accuracy of what corner of my work parking lot i'm standing in. however, if i use the test gps app, it shows no signal. very odd.

[Q] Popups GPS & Offline

Hello,
i have two questions, may some of you knows an answer ...(Phone G900F/root/Omega v3.0)
Both are about the popups that will be shown using the fast Buttons, like 'Wifi'/"Bluetooth"/"GPS"/"Offline" etc.
(hope my low level english will be excused)
If i use the button for "GPS" always the 'Google'-question appears ... does not matter if i have chosen just only GPS or locating with WiFi.
Does someone know how to turn off that confirmation question?
The other interaction that i really do not like is ... turning on the offline mode ... turning off the offline mode ...,
i always have to confirm that i really want that ... does someone know any solution to turn that questions off?
thank you very much for reading
thank you very much for answering if you knew a solution
best regards
The confirmation popup is rather annoying actually.
If you leave your location settings on high accuracy, it drains battery. If you leave it to power saver, GPS chip is disabled. If you turn it off, Google Now doesn't work. Seriously, which potato farmer programmed this?
I consider this to be one of the worst changes implemented. Previous Samsung phones such as the Galaxy S4 and the Note 3 had an actual "GPS" toggle in the drop down menu instead of this poorly crafted "location" toggle.
Sometimes I slightly regret switching from Note 3 to S5. Just a slight bit.
Oh well, the G3 is on the horizon

Use xposed framework plus the Modul disable Google network location consent. For the second thing maybe Wanam xposed module got an option for it.

Well, Hi!
I agree to your first statement even if i can follow the idea behind the programming, if i take the position of 'go.ogle' but even the main idea for the user is not that bad, it would have been a great choice to let the user chose which combination they want, like a single GPS-toggle. Or the combination. I was just lucky with that GPS-toggle option on my S3.
Like it is, it is a worst change. Agreed!
Some guys should get in contact with ROM cooking experts if there could be some coding solution.
Until yet i can't post in the developer section. So i have to stay calm.
Thank you for your point of view, so knowing i am not alone ...

Package Disabler Pro!! What not to disable...?

Hey everyone! Quick question, I've read many times that "Package Disabler Pro" is the best app to disable all the bloatware.
But I have also read that if you disable all of them or use the "Disable all Bloatware" selection in the app, it causes issues with other apps and services such as samsung say and amongst others.
Can anyone help on this issue? Or is there a solution out there... saying which to disable and which not to?
Any help would be awesome! Thanks!
This is too complex question and next, some packages depends on another. E.g. you can disable ANT+ but you need it if you have a sport watch.
Generally, do not dollow colors in the application. I've found some ping packages which could be important (ANT+).
It depends on your needs/using habits, but there is some that can be disable almost always, yet still there is cases where you may need it.
Few examples:
- you can disable email application and its services since you can (and probably should unless something very specific) use Gmail instead of it (you can set up non-gmail account in Gmail app), so feel free to disable this.
-Google play movies/music/newstand/books - if you dont use these disable them.
-Galaxy apps and its services - i dont see point for this app, only uses are - for getting offers (so claim them before disabling) and galaxy care... any apps you can get on play store, so egt the offers from Galaxy apps and turn it ands its services off.
-Gear VR services - if you dont have Gear VR headset then there is no use for these services and if you get Gear VR afterwards you can just enable those services, its fast and easy.
-SHealth and its service - dont use it? feel free to disable it.
- i dont use Samsung account and its backup options (since you have same functions from google) so if you dont also, feel free to disable it and its related services.
and there is A LOT more, and it all depends on what you want/will use! BUT remember, its very simple and fast to enable them even if you disabled them, with no harm done.
Carefully Checked Before Disabling, but Galaxy S7 Keeps Rebooting
I have carefully checked everything I disabled before doing it, but now my Galaxy S7 keeps rebooting, although not always with the same results. The fact that there's no information about numerous items preloaded on this phone is totally unhelpful!
How does this app work, since it doesn't require root? And is there any chance it will trip the Knox counter on an unrooted phone? I'm very interested in it, but I don't want to lose my tap and pay or my warranty (yet).
I have posted here my extensive list of disabled packages, with no ill effects that I know of:

com.sec.android.widgetapp.samsungapps (maybe Always on Display items are in Widget ? maybe, just I guess)
com.samsung.android.app.galaxyfinder (It's not about this problem but I advice enable it. This is search bar in the menu.)
com.samsung.android.app.aodservice ( edited and solved: This is Always On Display "AOD")
com.sec.factory
com.samsung.android.firmware.tsp
com.samsung.android.app.watchmanager (maybe about watch)
com.samsung.android.sm
and I see you disabled too many useful app like "Wallpaper Cropper, Galaxy Finder". Why you disable these ?
Just try it first what I wrote and check again for Always On Display

Yeah, I see on my Sony Xperia phone that has a custom ROM that there's an option on lockscreen and security that allows you to choose how long does it take for the phone to lock, not sleep but lock, in seconds, like "5 seconds after screen turns off" or "immediately after screen turns off" etc.....on my S7 it just takes forever and I can't find a similar option, sometimes I turn off the screen and after a few minutes I turn it on and it still has locked, sometimes it does it immediately, could there be a workaround ?

Good Lock - Make it work even if you don't have it in Galaxy Store!

I found a way to make Good Lock work even if you don't have it in your region.
Take out your sim card, connect to wifi and use a VPN (I used ExpressVPN - Los Angeles 3 - I used this because it works with Netflix maybe this matters)
Goto Settings -> Apps -> Galaxy Store -> Force Stop -> Storage - > Clear Cache and Clear Data
Now open the App you will get US Store Good Lock is there and will activate and work.
Hope this helps.
not working
I use the trick that an italian girl (Michelalastrega) explained to me.
1-download all the apk from, for example, apk mirror.
2-install them
3-install an app to create shortcut like quickshortcut maker
4-reboot the phone
5-create every shortcut you want
In these way I have all the function of good lock 2019 on my s10 plus.
