Choppy animations in Play Store - Huawei P Smart Questions & Answers

Can someone please confirm, that the menu-slide-back animation, switching from the main page to the "My apps & games" page, is extremely choppy (1-2 fps).
Or is this behavior just present on my device?
Thanks in advance for any input!
Cheers

Marshmallow issue

Is anyone else experiencing freezing issue in recent apps screen? It happens frequently while the recent apps screen is empty and I minimize an app by pressing the recent apps button.

Try reducing the window transition and animation transition to 0.5x or keep them off by going to developer option.
See if that helps.

Already tried reducing to 0.5x but no help. When the recent apps screen is not empty then there is no freezing while minimizing.

same error here, OTA of Marshmallow, the bar of google search not appears on the top of recent apps screen, one question, this OTA is a soak test?
I also have soak test official ota.
the problem with the google bar in multitasking has been resolved! with this:
''In Settings -> Apps -> Gear icon (top right) -> Default Apps -> Assistance (first one) -> Assistance application (click on gear icon) -> Select Google (in my case None was selected) -> restart phone
so you can remove or put the bar with this

Thanks but I don't get that Assistance option. In my case there is only Assist and Voice Input.

Unusual Google search bar widget

Hello folks, I've got a strange visual issue with my Galaxy S8:
Huh, seems like I can't link any images. Sorry if I trasgress the board rules in my first post:
hCATSttp://i.imgur.com/xwKihwe.png
My Google search bar stopped being the Galaxy S8's one. The microphone icon is still in the right but the Google logo is now absent, the space is more bright (I think), the corners aren't rounded, and the text "Say Ok Google" is aligned in the right. Practically, it's in material design with the wrong alignment.
There aren't any other launcher installed, I'm still using TouchWiz/Samsung Experience.
How can I fix this problem?
P.S. The similar threads popup sure is useful (not for my case), every board should have something like this.
This has happened to me as well.
To fix you'll need to go into the Google App Settings --> Widgets --> Turn off "Show Updates"
Hope that helps.

Try to go to Settings > Apps and find Google App, then uninstall the updates thru the three dots.

All of my Google play store apps have disappeared from my Kindle Fire 10 home screen

These apps still exist when I go to settings under apps, but there are no links on the home page to open them. When a notification shows up the app will open when clicked on. I need help bringing these back please.

What launcher are you using? If fire, then try to adb and clear fire launcher data. Don't have the command on hand but search in launcher hijacker thread for the word performance and someone posted it.
Or you might be able to clear fire launcher data from the fire itself. Go into settings, manage apps, all apps or whatever and look for fire launcher or it might be called home pages. Then click on it, clear data and force stop. Reboot and see if it fixes it.
Fixed!
Thank you sir for your wisdom. The Home Pages was the issue. All is well again!

Apps not showing on home screen

Hey guys, I will try to find include as much info as I can. I have Google play loaded on the device. I tried to uninstall an app and the icon remained, trying to uninstall it again gives me a pop-up about the app files do not exsist. Ever since then if i install an app from either the play store or the Amazon app store they will not show up on the main screen. The apps are there and I can remove them via settings. I have tried a hard reset as well as reinstalling the initial app that caused the problem. When I do that the app icon works again but no new apps show up still. If I uninstall it again it does the same thing as the first time, the icon stays.
I was hoping there was something running in the background i can clear the data for or something to fix this. I do not know enough about it to tinker around with it. I have some stuff downloaded from Google play that i cannot backup. A factory reset will lose the data on those accounts so I am trying to avoid it.
If you have any suggestions I will gladly try them, thank you in advance for your help
Mine is doing the same today, I've uninstalled it but the icon remains on the screen. I've also tried others that I've installed from Google play, all behave the same.
Are new apps that you install showing up? I cannot get any new app to appear.
Settings, ,,, apps & games,,,,,manage all applications, ,,, Running ,,,, press the three dots on top of the screen to show cached processes. Open SHOW CACHED PROCESSES, ,,,,,select Home Pages icon,,,,, select STOP... GO TO HOME PAGE AND IT IS FIXED
Same issue happening on my Fire HD 10. No newly downloaded apps showing on home screen, and icons for uninstalled apps are grayed out. Tried clearing the home screen cache, but no luck.

This might be somewhat related. Please try the following trick to see if it helps:
(1). Settings --> Apps & Games --> Manage All Applications
(2). Swipe left in order to display "ALL" applications and then scroll down to select the application named "Home Pages"
(3). Tap "CLEAR CACHE" and then "FORCE STOP"

This was driving me nuts. This is the solution! No way I would've found it on my own if I had a million years. Thanks!

cant create folder shortcut
Sorry to wake this thread up, but I can't seem to create a shortcut to a folder on my sd card on the fire hd8 tablet for kids. I have downloaded many different file explorers, have used them to create a shortcut, they say the shortcut has been created and is on home screen, but the folder shortcut never shows up on the home screen. Any help please....
