Multitasking/RAM - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Real Life Review

You're busy and don't have time to wait, which is why you need to stop reading this thread and get back to organizing your Pogs. Rate this thread to express how the performs when multitasking. A higher rating indicates that the keeps many apps in memory so that they don't need to reload, and that when moving between apps, transitions are smooth and performance is excellent.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

I don't know if it's app specific, but when playing a chinese game, Dengeki Bunko: Crossing Void, it's extremely unoptimised and laggy, it's just as if my RAM is at around 400mb spare. Extremely laggy.
Other than that, after only using it for half a day, my device is using around 4.4 GB of ram out of 6GB of RAM when IDLE.
RAM Optimisations need to happen in updates very soon. Again,
A little disappointed with the RAM management.
Anybody else?

ugh, this post is so annoying. right. ram management on android... the more you use, the better your phone is. 4.4gb out of 6gb is not bad. if you have the 8gb oneplus 6, it uses around 5.5gb idle. when you have more ram, you can use more of it. no point having 6gb of ram and only having 2gb at idle

These kind of comments... smh
Lack of RAM is not going to make your game laggy. Your game lacks optimization. Idle RAM = WASTED RAM. These ratings are pointless if idiotic comments like these are counted.

So I see that the ram management is quite aggressive. Today I switched from chrome to inbox to copy something. And chrome restarted the page and I had to start the form over again. Only clearing opened apps asked me to user it without reading the tab.
As gestures are a bit but I am trying XDA gestures and an early access FluiDN.G. which with fine for a few hours then close and disable the accessibility settings for each app. I have disabled auto power management of both applications and allow them to run in all situations. While this works for longer when opening the camera (worst offender) it shuts down the gesture apps and resets the accessibility settings
Other then that things have been as snappy as the one plus 6.

There's something with emui and accessibility settings. From my experience, on olther devices, I had to reapply the accessibility settings a few times until it stuck. It's a battle of wills between the phone and yourself.
As for gestures, I think I'm gonna go with the setup on my current device: oneplus gestures and edge gestures. Those two apps are so amazing when it comes to customizing your gestures. Just hope on android 9 I can still disable the nav keys. Although I have a feeling the phone's gonna be a pain to use without nav key, especially while typing.

Same it's stabilized a little bit. Not sure what the AI power management is doing but maybe it's noticing trends after some use. Still using the camera from time to time makes both XDA gestures and the other nav app stop working

Agree. Ram management is a bit aggressive, hope it will better soon

Ram has taken a turn for the worst today. It's closing Spotify! While playing music. Can't even switch to the last recent app. I'm a power user and developer so I know how to tweak the settings how is a regular user supposed to use this

So far none. It just started happening a few hours ago. When the system goes under stress - taking phonecall then trying to message people across 2 different apps and signal changing from WiFi and authenticating VPN then proof - my gesture app gets killed (been fine all day and exempt from all power optimisation) and Spotify gets killed even if it was the last app like instantly.
I'll see if I can dig deeper this weekend. Literally a little polish on the software would make this the best phone I've ever used. Right now it's the worst.
I have a Huawei m5 8 inch tablet with 4gb ram and it manages memory fine. Never had to tweak battery optimisations in the 9 months I've had it.
I hope they fix it before my 30 day cool off. Or this will be the second Huawei I return. The Nexus 6p was stellar (I know Google did the software end to end)
If I can get some advice access to some logs I can maybe find when and where they are killing the apps - maybe there's a memory leak. With 6gb ram I would have though you leave at least 1gb guaranteed to the last 4-5 recent app.
UPDATE: just a thought it might be the smart resolution causing apps to redraw. I've switched off smart resolution now. And switched on 720p fixed. Will test it over next day or so
UPDATE 2: After setting to fixed 720p signs are positive... Now I can go back 20 apps on the recents screen and they all do not redraw or reload. I think there may be a bug in the smart resolution. It's been 30 minutes and I just reopened an app that was open last in recently 30 mins ago. Try this and see if it works too.

Can you please let me know if OnePlus Gestures and Edge Gestures apps work fluidly in the mate 20 pro? I haven't purchased them yet but others gesture app I've purchased had compatibility issues with samsung phones, similar to issues some users were having with mate 20 pro and third party launcher, the gestures did work, but with a 2-3 second delay to go home. If you can confirm OnePlus Gestures and Edge Gestures work as fast as native mate 20 pro gestures I'll buy those apps.

I've used XDA gestures and a new app called Fluid N.G (it's seriously amazing to use) and there is 0 lag. It's almost as snappy as huawei own gestures. Check the gif attached (sorry for bad quality I did it quickly)

Sorry. After all the issues and head aches the Mate was giving people, I cancelled my preorder and went and bought the Note 9. Best decision I ever made (when it comes to phone purchases that is). So I won't be able to help you out.
But those two apps worked flawlessly on the LG G7 and now I only installed Edge Gestures on the Note 9 and it works without a hiccup.
Anyway, I think those apps have free versions, no?

I couldn't find free versions but I ended up purchasing them and they work good on my Note 9 but haven't tried them in the Mate 20 Pro. I'm actually switching from Note 9 to Mate 20 Pro but I'd say the best gesture app for Samsung phones is One Hand Operation+, you have to download goodlock first from galaxy store, then it'll let you install one hand operation+, I'd suggest you try it if you have a chance

Not using smart resolution and locking the resolution to 1080 solved 80% of my ram problems... Haha as in you dont see the app rendering when switching between. I guess its a bug with different apps different resolutions therefore re-rendering upon switching... Suggest you guys try it...

Yeah been half a day and no app crashes minimal reloading of apps. I'm at home today so battery drain is less anyways. I also turned off automatically manage all apps. That seems to contribute to aggressive killing.
What resolution you at? I'm trying 720p it still looks nice and crisp just can't play 1080 videos. Might switch back up to 1080 or QHD and see the battery difference.

No issue here. Used it for 8+ hours straight. I have it all set to manage manually. Spotify can't autolaunch but allowed to remain in background

UK SIII Unbranded with Jelly Bean - Noticing performance is decreasing

Updated to the official OTA JB update a few weeks ago, and at first thing seemed great. The UI looked smooth and things seemed to have an increased efficiency. However ive noticed over the last week that things have been going wrong.
Delays opening and exiting apps, dialler being even slower than normal ( i know this has been an issue for others).
Looking at the device's ram usage its been at the 800mb mark, which i thought was quite high.
Anyone else been having similar probs?
Cheers

The stock recovery only has a factory reset option (deletes your data and apps).
Alright, did you install any new apps before the problem happened? Any dodgy widgets? What's the service using the most amount of RAM? (Settings -> Application Manager -> Running -> Most app using ram, look at the one with the highest MB's).

One its a question .
Two i would backup data and factory reset first .
jje
largest running apps being:
Settings 67mb
Google services 22mb
Samsung Keyboard 21mb
Viber 13mb
Facebook 17mb
The rest are under 10mb
Same happened to me, I factory reset the phone and it runs too good to be true. Also disabled some bloat in app settings, not sure how much difference its specifically made but the phone flies.
Additionally there are 4 settings that will speed up your phone, allow dev options to be on, find force GPU rendering and turn it on. Then above that there should be 3 settings that each allow numerical settings, set each of the 3 to 0.5 to reduce the time that your phone loads up advanced displays animations.
You're welcome.
Sent via second class post, so I don't expect you to read this for at least a few weeks.
From what I remember force gpu rendering causes apps to use a lot more ram. Could be wrong but it will probably be an issue for those who complain about low ram.
I know it might seem a bit obvious but have you switched Power Saving Mode on?
Because for half a day I was convinced something was seriously wrong and thinking the worst until that face palm moment when I saw the icon lit up.
I definitely notice an increase in performance with it on but haven't noticed any adverse affects like more ram consumption, in fact the only problem ever was that the app androidify didn't work
Sent via second class post, so I don't expect you to read this for at least a few weeks.
---------- Post added at 07:49 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:40 AM ----------
Scrap that, having just tested, I experienced significant less RAM usage and a better fps with force GPU on, perhaps you heard that out affects the battery negatively? I don't know but it works wonders for me

well before i could tinker and try out the suggestions here it seems like my phone has had a dose of Sudden Death syndrome.
Wont turn on, charge or anything.
Anyone else had this in Uk and could tell me process of getting a new device or repair?
Thanks

Does this actually reduce the loading time? As far as I understand this setting just plays the animation at double speed, so it makes your UI appear snappier.
Minimally I assume because it's not processing the animation so much. In all honesty I can't give a definitive answer though.
I think forcing GPU does though because your processor is free top load up all the back ground processes while your GPU loads the visual aspects, efficiency is always the best way and most things on jelly bean should be optimised for it.

Is it normal for the Moto X Pure to have a huge delay opening anything?

I've gone through 4 of these dang phones and every time I thought I had a detective unit. Without any mods or anything, the phone is slow. Like everything takes 1 full second to open. It's embarrassing for the 808 as I compared to my ome plus one, which opens everything instantly just about in cm13. I've done side by side tests and my opo just smokes the pure. I've tried custom Roms, stock reflashes, nothing fixed this lag/delay
Is this normal? Is the MXPE really this slow? What's the point of the 808? It's honestly the only phone available to me right now and I just can't use it because it's so damn slow. I mean the last one I had took 1 to 2 seconds to open hangouts... Everytime . But my OPO? So fast I can't even really measure it, less that 0.5 seconds I'd say.
Please tell me I've had 4 defective units...

The delay is before the animation even begins, as in I tap on something, wait just about a full second, and then the animation plays and then the app loads. That's why I took off work and back, there's no way that that's normal. Is it?

Def not normal, everything opens instantly on mine (running bliss rom, elementalx cpu governor). Even on stock lollipop this happens? Any temperature extremes where you're at?
Try clearing the cache in recovery mode. Everything on mine opens as quick as I touch the screen. I'm rooted and on stock 6.0.

geez dude, 4 units? When i changed the CPU governor to elementalX and switched off some cores, it took like, 1 and a half second to open things. But i knew the root reason. Switch back to ondemand and the apps open faster than my fingers can click it (except some abominations like facebook or google now). It's really fast. I have some problems with scrolling smoothness and random stuttering on chrome but they open as fast as possible.

Ugh lol. I'd really like for this phone not to suck, my opo is really breaking down
are you using an sdcard as internal ? i started with a clean install and before i installed any new apps i made my 32GB class 10 mem part of the internal and installed my apps, omfg apps like facebook , twitter and google plus were awful, so i moved facebook back to real internal and facebook works fine. so anything that runs slow i move back to true internal, games dont seem to be effected and i can keep them on the sdcard.
hope this helps
Just checked mine. Hangouts press the app bang opens straight up. I came from OPO. Swapped it for a LG g4 then couple days after swapped for my MXs had the OPO for 1year and half. Great phone. Shame about the companies customer service.

To the OP, are you referring to initially opening an app after reboot or reopening it after it's been opened already?
The latter will of course be faster because it's cached. The former will take a second or two depending on how big the app is.
Download size gives a rough indiciation - most google apps are fat, search, maps, chrome, gmail, etc.

Not as fast/snappy as I was expecting ?... Any one else agree? TMO 950U

Hi guys, so I pre-order the S8 and am very happy with the design of the phone but performance has left much to be desired. It just doesn't feel as snappy as lets say my OP3. Granted, OP3 has 6gb of ram but still, the S8 considerably feels sluggish. Chrome browser stutters all the time, even with only a few tabs open for example.
I have tried decreasing the animation/transition speed under devl options (which I know is subjective) but still the same...
Anyone else in the same boat? Anything to remedy this? I am really hoping for Root to be available.
I guess I'm just venting a little lol.
Yeah, I have the exynos version and it feels slow... Making all the animations 0.5x kinda helps but I'm still disappointed.
Let the phone get "broken in". Use it for a few days, things get a lot snappier after the system learns your usage patterns. I'm also getting better and better battery life (first day I barely had 1.5hrs SOT with my regular usage, a week later I was getting 4-5hrs easily, even though my usage pattern did not change).
However wiping the phone will reset this. I experienced this a few times in the past 3 weeks I had the phone.
Totally incorrect, this is the fastest smoothest Android I've ever used. I've been in the iPhone camp since the 6s and had the 7 as well. We all know how fast and smooth the new iPhones are, well this phone is as fast and smooth. I've had it running 7 days straight while opening and running dozens of apps, this is a beast. No lag and smooth af scrolling and navigation. Snapdragon here
To sum it up, this device is a pleasure to use. And no fkin way will I use a stock Android. The Galaxy user experience adds so much added value to the phone.

Me too and I've had three. A AT&T S-835 version and two UK Exynos versions. One of the Exynos had a pink screen and got returned. In the context of this thread I'm assuming "fast" means page opens, scrolling, and transitions. All three of my phones performed impressively in those areas. To the point as a long time Android user it makes you go "wow."
There are a bunch of threads here where people are complaining about a variety of performance issues. 99% of the time those problems are user induced. We all love Android's flexibility but it means no two phones are alike. Based on age, quality, and design of the apps people use one or two "bad" apps can create issues across your phone. Then there's the "freezing" crowd who take out an app that another app that's still alive is dependent on and they have issues. Look at the Bixby remapper and the performance problems it created. One thing I've noticed on my Exynos phones is that the Samsung Device Maintenance app does a terrific job of proactively managing power hungry apps and those that remain alive unnecessarily in the background.
As for 4GB vs. 6GB of RAM that doesn't really fly unless you always and intentionally keep a slew of apps running in the background. Every time I've checked I've had plenty of free RAM available and no app I've gone back to in recent apps hasn't been alive when I've needed it. If there's a single app that itself needs more than 4GB of RAM than it's a developer fail because the average Android phone has far less than 4GB of installed RAM.

New firmware update released today/yesterday.
Bluetooth and app installs are the two things that show performance issues best. When I connected to my truck's Bluetooth, every phone before it took around 20 seconds to connect, but the S8 connected immediately.
App installs are also seemingly immediate as well. I never get any lag or stuttering when installing apps, even while playing games.
That's my benchmark for how fast a phone is. Oh, and cold booting is 30 seconds, S7e on U FW is 38 seconds.
Yeah definetly noticed this too. I still blame Samsung's touchwiz. The S8 took a huge hit last night when I tried video calling on Whatsapp and send a few texts and the same time and damn the phone heated up and lagged hard on me. Hoping the update containing daydream will fix a few of these issues and give us that damn button remapping back.
Smart switch restore and the shortcutter app made my phone sluggish. Factory reset and avoid both made my phone silky smooth with over 100 apps installed.

Overall speed

Would you say that the Huawei P20 Pro is "fast" in day-to-day use? A higher rating indicates that you think the Huawei P20 Pro exhibits fantastic performance. Like, is it as fast as your tears when you watch The Titanic?

So far so good
Firstly Google maps is fine, no issues whatsoever so can only assume this was a one off but the reviewer probably had a bad day..
The speed seems a little quicker than the Mate 10 Pro in use, so face unlock and app scrolling is great and in terms of using apps, really I don't care if the iPhone X or One Plus 5 loads a game 2 seconds faster its really not important to me. If I am honest some of the reviewers seem to focus on the tiniest issue just to get a few more views or eek out their video for a minute longer and its not really objective.
If you benchmark this phone, it will not blow your socks off and if that's important to you then buy an iPhone but in everyday use so far nothing has crashed, apps have responded quickly and it performs how I would expect a flagship to.
The Mate 10 Pro I have benchmarked higher using the stock launcher than using Nova, yet Nova is widely regarded to improve performance so that probably explains how beneficial benchmarks are to 90% of the customer base..
No offence intended but I have been through this with Camera reviewers talking about performance and IQ etc when some of the best photos I see posted are taken on cameras 5 years old...

Would agree, Face unlock, scrolling and fingerprint sensor are very very quick.
Coming from a 3T I'm struggling to like the launcher though, so I installed Nova, was very impressed with the performance until I tried to drop a clock widget on the home screen. Nova then crashed and wont restart. I get a pop up from Smart Recovery wanting to uninstall Nova. I'm still hacking around to see what will fix it

Just added a accuweather widget in Nova launcher (i use the pro version) and it seems ok just had to adjust size but its there and works. Which clock widget was it you tried?

Yeah, I'm on the Prime version too. It was the default Huawei Clock & Weather widget. As I said, Nova had been fine, I'd done my first pass with setting the desktop grid, tweaking animations. etc.
I've since wiped Nova's cache and it still wont restart. I'll wipe all the Nova data next and see if it'll start up no.
I have submitted a crash dump to TeslaCoil, so I'll see if they come back with any suggestions

Tried the nova weather and clock and it crashed Nova completely and came up with a critical error so seems like a generic issue

Just tested this and yep, crashed Nova, but had no issues restarting app from Huawei launcher and then making it defaults again.
Benchmark
Interesting that yet again using the stock launcher the Antutu score is 2000 points higher. Also the P20 Pro is still way behind my old Mate 10 Pro on overall score despite having the same combo. I know benchmarks are generally useless but it would suggest Huawei still have some performance optimisation work to do on the P20 Pro.

Exact same thing. I had to . uninstall Nova fully then re-install it. Seems the clock widget is for their launcher only and once Nova has it 'saved' into memory that you want it on the desktop, every time it tries to start and load it, it will crash. Need to clear all the data so it doesn't try to keep loading it.
Shame as it's a nice looking widget.
guys, nova wont work with huawei weather widget, it never did since i started using huawei with the p9 2 years ago, always crashes and there is no fix
Okay, so I actually started to think that something was wrong with my phone, since basically no one reports performance issues in daily usage.
So I reset my phone which already helped a bit (so maybe something actually went wrong the first time) and then went on to remove all bloat that came with the phone via ADB. Every third party app and also most system apps that came from Huawei (there really wasn't much left after that). This really changed things, the phone felt a lot snappier after that.
And last but not least I installed Nova prime which again, made a big difference (which is surprising to me that the launcher made such a big difference even in other apps).
Now I basically can't distinguish the performance from other stock android / pixel-like devices.
So if you're reading this and are one of the few people with performance problems, then try those things first, before returning your new device.

Don't suppose you have a list of removed apps?
I was considering going to something like Lineage once it releases, but I also love the idea of the Easy Projection which will be gone, so looks like i'm sticking to EMUI for the time being.

Sorry, didn't think to write it down :/
However I followed this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/how-to/guide-list-bloat-software-emui-safe-to-t3700814
And after that I installed Application Inspector and picked out every package that still bothered me.

Hey Dave,
I've been working through the list on my end so I thought maybe I could share what I've removed so far.
As with most system changes while I can say I haven't see any negative side effects yet, it doesn't mean there won't be any going forward
Code:
com.hisi.mapcon
com.google.android.apps.tachyon
com.facebook.appmanager
com.facebook.system
com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox
com.android.calculator2
com.android.dreams.basic
com.android.dreams.phototable
com.android.providers.partnerbookmarks
com.google.android.youtube
com.google.android.videos
com.huawei.phoneservice
com.swiftkey.swiftkeyconfigurator
com.touchtype.swiftkey
com.google.android.music
com.google.android.tts
com.huawei.vassistant
com.android.deskclock
com.android.calendar
com.android.email
com.android.chrome
com.example.android.notepad
I've used the list that @version467 had linked to as well as app inspector to determine what I wanted to remove.
Couple words of warning, for some of the above, calendar, chrome, swiftkey etc... Make sure you first install an equivalent app from the app store before deleting. What I actually did was install all my apps first, then went back and uninstalled and removed excess apps from the phone.
Also, it seems that once removed the only way to restore the app if it's causing you problems is a factory reset
Face Unlock is phenomenally quick as is most everything else. I have a problem with the Google feed page showing blank every so often and today the Fastmail app had slowed to a crawl (irony) but other than that no complaints at all. First thing I tried was Google Maps which works as well as any other phone.

You could just disable the apps instead of removing them. As soon as my P20 arrives, I gonna check all that stuff about smoothness.

Your right, unfortunately a lot of the apps mentioned do not have a disable option which means that either we're stuck with them on the phone in a folder or homescreen.
Alternatively, you can uninstall them for your user and not have to worry about them. Personally this was a better option for me.
Truth is, I did it mainly to have a cleaner app draw rather than smoothness. I'll never use the default mail client for instance so it made sense to get rid of it.

Hm I see. Well in that case you could try to simply move the app folders you like to uninstall from system/apps to a folder on your internal space like /downloads or whatever. Of course you need to be rooted for that. Anyways as soon as I get hands on my P20 I gonna uninstall all Huawei apps anyways and gonna try some build.prop tweaks for touch responsiveness.

Z Camera
Hey Guys,
trying to remove a stock app from the Australian version called Z Camera (com.jb.zcamera). Can't seem to make it happen via ADB.....any ideas? Removing it only seems to reset the app to default.....

Answered my own question. After doing the adb delete, it reset the app to default and then I was able to uninstall it like a normal app......I am sure I didn't get that option before doing the adb delete......go figure!

Pie lag?

Anybody know of a fix for the ridiculous amount of lag on Pie? Between that and the sad excuse of video recording, I'm really debating on going back to my buttery smooth Z2force. The only problem is this phone is pure eye candy, comfortable to hold, and my hands have betrayed my eyes recognition of the lag and fell in love this phone. . The performance is more like snapdragon 620 than 835. Any help regarding this situation would be highly appreciated
I have no lag on Pie, beta 3 or official. Sounds like your due for a full wipe
Well now that sucks considering I just moved about 90gigs to the device and thought I did a full wipe but just notice Alexa still installed. The funny thing is I had very little late lag on Beta 3.

I discovered this a month ago and it helps.just go to root/system/buildprop. Add the following to right under additional build settings.then reboot. That's the default setting, but u can mess with the value to get it to your liking
You're only saying there is lag, you're not describing where you are seeing this lag?
The only thing I can say is I thought apps would open faster on this, I have a phone with a SD625, and between this and the Essential, opening and closing apps seems like the same speed. But the startup on the Essential is faster...

Scrolling in-app, swiping in-app and launcher, and also scrolling cards in recents. I have a z2force with SD835 and comparing this phone to the z2 this phone feels like an SD626

If I were you, I'd wipe everything, and then fastboot the full official pie update. Just to fully eliminate software.
Hi there I am the same boat like you . I got lag typing on keyboard scroll is not smooth at all .I tried reinstalling the latest build and factory full reset pus wipe all data .I can't resolve the lag I think they rush to get it in the same date like the pixel but is not optimised for this device for example get an icon and hold it and get it to place it in another location you will find out that the icon is behind when you move it
The only and I think temporary fix is by doing this
Go and click 5 times on build number and go in developer settings you will find there touch sensitivity set it to 10 let say default is 4 I think . You will improve touch latency a bit .
I just bought the device I don't know how it was on Oreo but I can say on this pie build official is not smooth
@mookiexl got to the Developer Options;
Windows animation scale - off
Transition animation scale - off or .5x
Animator duration scale - off or .5x
Also increasing the 'Touch Sensitivity' increases the scrolling speed.
Play with these and watch it fly! LOL
It would be great if someone can take a video so we can actually see this lag with our own eyes.
I just got my phone and it turned out bad, sending it back, new one on the way. It makes me wonder now if all the stories about bad hardware is true on these phones, since I've never had a bad phone ever in my life, then my first Essential turns out bad.
Wifi problems connecting
Statusbar icons appearing in white, turn all black
Phone speaker, bad quality, can't even turn it up, or it gets distorted
Head speaker, is low, volume isn't loud enough
Adaptive brightness doesn't work
Volume got stuck at one point when it was set as all the way down, no sound, then I wasn't able turn the sound back on, nothing would happen on either buttons...
So hopefully new phone arriving will be better, and from this experience, I think I'll keep it on Oreo for a long time, until people start raving over Pie.
And between a SD625 and this SD835, can't say I saw a big speed difference too... hmm

I hear ya brother. To be fair I haven't had any of those other problems I heard about before buying the phone besides what's mentioned in this thread. 3rd party camera apps with full manual control drastically improved camera quality for my device. If you want to see the lag I'm taking about just YouTube it.
As far as SD625 and Sd835, there's a huge difference for me being a power user. Lots of gaming, editing videos, download big files, or even just transferring data from internal to external sd you will definitely see a big difference in performance during any memory extensive task.
@mookiexl
Do you know any YouTube videos with the same issues you're having, you can show us?
I only found one for Camera Portrait Lag.
Fastboot install of 9.0 over the official July 8.1. Magisk root.
No device lag or issues with WiFi, volume or any of the things above. The only lag I see is my own getting to grips with the UI changes.
USOpen device used in the UK.
It sounds like you're both having some kind of install/integrity issue. Did you test the checksum?

All I've done since receiving the device is take all system updates and then unlocked bootloader which in turn wipe data. See the video I posted for details. If you have another SD835 device to compare it too try tha,t or better yet don't because it will make the lag very bothersome once you know its there.
That video is a year old. I have no discernible lag even with upward of 20 apps in the background, but I'm not saying that you don't.
Also, I had this and a Google PXL at the same time up until a few weeks ago. If anything, the PH1 was better, smoother and faster.
I've got serious lag... Keyoress lag, stuttering during scrolling. Could it be because of RAM usage? The stats in developer options say that I using 3.4 out of 3.9 gb on average....
