Fastboot Perry Verizon OEM user? - Moto E4 Questions & Answers

Was looking around for stuff on the Moto E4. I came across this on https://firmware.center/firmware/
Code:
fastboot_perry_verizon_oem_vzw_user_7.1.1_NDQ26.69-23-2_2_release-keys-cid2_vzw.tar.gz
Does anyone know what this is?

My interest piqued because I noticed it said it was an oem firmware??

That's the service repair file, mostly use in complete bricked case, it includes blankflash, bootloader repairs, each partition in raw format. It can be downloaded by Verizon software tool..

[Petition] [Motorola]Release blank flash files for motorola devices

Hi ,
As we all know that there are a lot fo motorola devices which have got their gpt partition and bootloader corrupted due to some ota update , flashing , wrong flash etc, which reduced their device to a paper weight . Most of them(including me) were unable to reverse the corruption due to the lack of required files . It may take motorola simply 2-3 hours to release these files for almost all devices but they have chosen to stay silent and do nothing . It feels really bad to throw away your phone costing hundreds of dollars due to a minor corrpution which can be fixed easily by Motorola. Its time for us to speak , its time for us to ask for what we deserve . Motorola should listen to us !!
Sign this petition on Change.ORG with as many signs as possible so that we can get our devices back ! Please co-operate .
Maybe this havent happened to you yet but may be it will one day , we all need to come together and ask for what we deserve from Motorola. Sign the petition so that Motorola will hear our voices.:crying::crying:

By blank flash files I meant the files required for resurrecting partition and/or bootloader corrupted devices to flash the OS again . As in the process , we only flash the gpt and bootloader via qualcomm emergency download mode (9008 mode) it is callled a blank flash.
I remembered the time when petition for getting android n was signed by more than 2 lakh people but was of no use. Hope this time it works. Good work anyway.:good:

Yes . I remember that too . It was really heartbreaking for us to not to get the android n update thought we were capable of getting it (the g3 and g3te users). How as we know recently , motorola changed their mind and decided to update g4 plus to android O . So therefore if we can put pressure on them , we may be able to get the blank flash files from them . We just need to be together , no matter what if everybody , every motorola user comes forward maybe motorola will have to provide the files that may save thousands of devices.

BTW don't you think its more of a private stuff that may give its competitors info about its unique product?

This is an older thread and older post indeed, but for any interested members, I've amassed blankflash files for several older and newer Moto devices. For clarification, Motorola has never released a blankflash file in the history of their production of smart devices. Motorola states officially that releasing such files would compromise the security of their firmware, and would violate contractual agreements between Motorola and the branded carriers who market Motorola devices. Any blankflash files for Moto devices floating around on the internet were either leaked or were coded by skilled programmers.
For any members needing blankflash files, leave a comment wiry your model number and branded carrier (if any). I'll reply back as soon as possible and, if available, will post a link for the blankflash file.

Okay. I'll look this evening and see if I have that one. It's the Moto X (2nd Gen) Victara, correct?

How tell which year of Moto X Play I have

Hello xda forums,
Before I start I apoligize if this has been answered somewhere I have spent it is far to late at night at time of writing for me to find anything.
Since I just upgraded to a new Moto Z2 I am looking to root my old phone so I can play around with a rooted phone without bricking the one I use. I have got ADB running to backup any files I want in case of bricking, but I don't know which TWRP file to use as they have multiple listings for the Moto X and I do not know which one I have. If anyone knows if there is a place in settings, or in fastboot mode where I can find this information it would help a lot. As well if there is another custom recovery that I could flash that is known to support all the Moto X models I would like to know.
Thanks
Signed A very tired programmer

The Uncrackable SM-T377V (Samsung Tab E 8.0 - Verizon)

I have read tons of suggestions out there on this topic, but no one has an real answer at this point. It's almost the end of 2018 and not one soul on the planet has figured out a fool-proof way to break into this bad boy and unload all the preloaded Samsung garbage?
Sad to say,I am not a coder, nor am I a genius when it comes to rooting, but Verizon flooded the market with this free tablet. Be great to breathe new life back into it by stripping it down and making it a little more peppy...
Anyone succeed on this yet?
Verizon variant probably has a locked bootloader like the AT&T variant, so we can't really develop anything for those devices.
Ok, so, if the bootloader is locked, how would one go about unlocking a bootloader?
You can't unlock or lock a Samsung device's bootloader. It either comes locked or unlocked from factory.
question anyone still on this im confused i have a sm t377v but its suppossed to have a quallcomm chip in it but it has a exynos chip ...wtf?
all i know is i flashed boot.bin and recovery.bin and it locked me out after it rebooted so i had to download mode and flash oem stock again but now there s unlocked logo

I know this is an old thread, but still hope you can provide with more information about what version of T377V firmware you had used and where are those boot.bin and recovery.bin were taken from.
Thank you in advance for your clarification! This can help all of us who stuck with locked Verizon tablet.

S10 Plus Firmware

Hey guys.
I just bought the S10 Plus from Verizon. I normally purchase the devices unlocked; I don't know why I went through my carrier. I've been using the Note9 until now, but I just had a question. I know that US model devices are manufactured the same and can have different firmware flashed. I've been looking for the S10 Plus firmware, but have been unsuccessful in locating anything for the G975U, I've only been able to find firmware for the 975F. Does anyone know where I can find the correct firmware? I can't stand Verizon's bloatware and removal of some features. Checked Sammobile and a couple other places online, also looked through the forums here, but I don't know if I'm just stupid, but I can't find it. Thanks for your help!

LG G6 bootloader unlock is not possible anymore through LG

After succesfully flashing the wonderful LineageOS into my Samsung Galaxy Tab A i was so excited to do the same with my LG G6 H870. Today i set up the connection, wanted to get the bin file from LG developer site and realized they had shut down the site 31. december 2021. Now i am left with locked bootloader
And i believe many people will be sad because of this. Its unfair from LG to remove this option. If they will continue to support a few recent phones with SW updates they also had to leave the bootloader unlock service alive for a few years too.
I dont know if any developer is reading this but would it be possible to find an exploit if we are forced to because of no other options left? Like when devs are reverse engineering licence key validation and then building keygens, so to examine the bin file and the corresponding IMEI, device ID, possibly gather further bin files and IMEI, device ID from other forum members and find the logic behind it?
Could anybody give us hope?
Thank you for your opinions.
I'm in same boat with G5H850. Hope someones finds a solution beacause several LG support answered me they cannot perform the unlock anymore...
I feel so disappointed as it was an automated process that they do not support it anymore.
Is there any other way to flash trwp now? Would firehouse help?
Same to me, I wanted to upgrade an old G6 to LineageOS and got stopped out.
Thank you LG, I won't buy any **** from your company anymore.
So if anyone finds a workaround for this issue, please post a solution in this thread. Tyvm in advanced.

I highly doubt and i would be surprised.
I dont think G6 was such a popular model across the globe. Everybody has moved to the more recent versions and are unlocking them with a special method.
I think its not worth to waste development time on it. Maybe if there could be "keygen" type script to generate the files for every LG model globally.
I am sad btw. I have renewed my galaxy tab a tablet with a nice Lineage and i believe it would boost my G6 as well. I would pay a reasonable price if i could flash a custom ROM into it.

There most likely won't be a new method. The unofficial methods are used through EDL, and the EDL isn't accessable without shorting pins or test points. I'm glad i unlocked mine the day i got it last year.

But that EDL stuff method is for a few newer models only, right? I dont believe it would work on G6 as well. I did not dig into it deeper but as far as i remember its a specifix kernel for the EDL stuff method, chipset is different, partitioning is different, so it wont work on G6. But i might be wrong of course

Yeah, i ment that. Cuz the EDL is basically not made to be accessed on the G6 and lower, there won't be a method.
A responsible company should put out a bootloader unlock code generator while discontinuing its mobile business. Or change the unlocking method to Google pixel's standard way in the last system update, i.e. unlocking via command line
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock
.
