LG H870 stuck in LG boot logo after Oreo update. Nougat is working.... - LG G6 Questions and Answers

I have the LG G6 H870 single sim version, and it's a strange thing.
The Lg G6 remains locked on the LG logo, wait 15 minutes or more.. and does not go any further regardless of flashing method, LG Up or LG Bridge. Now it has the 11th global version installed. Using Uppercut and any version of Nougat starts right after the update. Any version of Oreo, flashed with LG UP or LG Bridge (LG Bridge detects that updating is required and proposes the V20b and installs it) remains stuck at the LG "Powered by Android" logo. It appear on Windows device manager, connected after boot like Serial device, so it's stuck in some Download Mode i think, and after pressing Vol down and power, it enter without problem on Download mode... pressing Vol Up and conecting cable in one second before reboot....
I tried both the bootloader locked and unlocked. The same problem every time. Oreo does not appear as OTA The check now for update message is: "You are using the atest software version for current OS".
Any idea is welcome. Please help!

I have the EXACT same problem.
Any help guys?

Still stuck on Nougat...it refuses to let me go back up to Oreo.
Tried numerous .KDZ of Oreo, numerous flashable zips of Oreo.
Do I perhaps need a different kind of .laf or boot.img etc?
Matt

Just use this LGUP and first post instructions from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/how-to/using-lgup-crossflashing-t3780969
, "PARTITION DL",then click "select all" on LGUP modified version. It works for me. Tools from here:

THANKYOU!!!
You have 100% fixed my phone...u are a ABSOLUTE LEGEND!!
You one of the VERY few good people on this LG G6 forum.
Sooo many just dont even attempt to answer someones question.
I've owned stacks of smartphones and been a member of loads of XDA forums, but I have to say, as far as getting help asnd questions ansered etc....this LG G6 forum is the absolute worst.
Apart from youself, of course.
Iam now over the moon happy, coz you made my phone work again!
Thanks again.

I have the same problem you described.
Could you give me a link to the dll file? I can't find a file matching my phone LG G6 H870. Always getting this error "please, install valid DLL package(*.msi). for the model"

Thank you very much!
For me this method also worked.
At the beginning I had the same problem as before (error about missing dll) but launching the application as an administrator helped.

[Q] LG Leon 4G bricked

Hello Guys,
yor are my last hope!
I tried to root my device but there was no working way for it.
So i decided to use this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/root-t-mobile-lg-leon-5-1-1-lollipop-t3194145) to root my phone. I didn't know that this Telekom software is simlocked so i used another guide to unbrick it. Unfortunately it came out that the software i used at this time was the metro pcs version of the stock firmware.
Now i am looking for a working stock firmware cause every german/france software from this pages (http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=171) and (http://www.lg-phones.org/category/lg-leon) didn't worked for me.
Every time i tried the 3GCT with Emergency and the cdma with cs_emergency way.
But it always ends in a bootloop with the lg logo and the android symbol then restart and long time LG logo.
I don't understand why Telekom and Metro PCS versions worked but the others don't.
It would be great if you could explain me this.
Greetings
Sven
Hi there! I'm in the same situation. :/ Any help?
I have the same problem too. There's already topic about this, but nobody found solution yet. :/
My god! I have the same BIG problem with LG Leon LTE H340n (C50)! HELP!
Help
Hey guys, I'm a new member so I can't start my own thread so I figured I'd try this out. I bought a LG risio (Leon) off of craigslist and the dude factory reset it when I handed him the cash but now it's asking me for a e-mail or phone number that was previously used with the phone and now I can't get a hold of the guy. Is there any way to get past this situation or am I screwed?
Please don't hate on me for posting this where I did. I just don't have any other options so if someone can help me please do.

This method is USEFUL for your situation & unbricking lg Leon LTE
This method is for ONLY metroPCS
Don't hold me responsible if this method doesn't restore your phone or makes it worse. THERE IS NO WAY TO DOWNGRADE BACK TO ver MS34510B after using this method.
Install
LG United Mobile Driver 3.14.1
LG Flash tool 2014 (build 03/07/2014)
After flash tool installation
1. Remove the battery and put it back in.
2. Hold the Volume Up button (ONLY) while connecting to USB Cable
3. The Volume up button needs to be held until it reaches download mode
4. Open device manager and changed the LGE Mobile USB Serial port to COM 20
5. Open the Flash Tool
6. Select Type: 3GQCT
7. PhoneMode: EMERGENCY
8. KDZ : MS34510D_00.KDZ
9. Click on Normal Flash
10. Click on Clear update registry
11. Country: different country
12. Language: English
13. Click okay and wait for the LG Mobile Support tool to recognize the device. It takes a minute or two but the tool will recognize it. The software starts the extraction and re-boots at %100. You can remove USB cable, your device will boot normally, and the device is no longer stuck in a boot loop.

I got my lg G4 h815T with H815t10H installed on it, few days back.

Checked OTA update and it stated that device is updated. But LG Bridge showed H815T20D is available. So i started the update process. But it stopped with an error at 80% approx. It gave a retry option.
But the error persisted.

Did you check your IMEI online to see if it shows the same model as well?
Only real way is to take the phone apart.

Here is IMEI report, it says LGH815T.
New thing is operator is OPTUS while i got carrier free. May be Optus rom will work. Lets try it.
Update
====================================
I already have tried H815T20d_00_0120.kdz for OPTUS H815T same error given by LGUP i.e. TOT antirollback version is smaller than device.
Infact this was the rom downloaded by LgBridge.
Any other suggestions.
Since you have already flashed the sprint firehose file with QFIL you may want to check out the thread by @steadfasterX below. He is working on a BL unlock which may be able to revive your phone to some sort of working order but has some limitations as it is still in testing.

Alright opened my mobile and surprise is that mainboard is EAZ66585501_H810_MAIN_1.0
so it is H810 not a H815t and surely a refurb
Now the question is how to flash a H810 rom.
currently it can be restored in bulk mode using Ls991 recovery, then if i apply tot method to flash H810 tot it gives an error saying "991 cross to 810".
Please suggest.

Please remove your imei info from your post. Its not good to expose that.
Your serial looks odd by the way.. Usually it starts with 5xx, 6xx or 7xx.. So I assume it is the 665
Try this:
Pull out battery disconnect USB cable to your pc.
Insert battery and wait 5 sec. Then press vol down and while keeping it pressed plugin the USB cable to the pc. After 10 sec latest you hopefully see the fastboot screen.
If not :
Do you have Linux or a live cd like FWUL?
What I currently try to find out is if you're screwed or not. That means when you have used the qfil method it is likely happened that your device now is converted to a ls991 because of the qfil files you flashed!!!!
That's why I warn everywhere to not use the qfil method until you know about the results.
Let us know how it goes.

[H870] Bootloop after updating to V20B Oreo

Hi. I've got G6 H870. I was running on Oreo V20A (updated from Nugat) via LG UP. Today i want to update to V20B. I've downloaded KDZ and updated by using LG UP ( i choose UPDATE option). After udpdate phone is booting to android with no end. I wa tried Factory reset (vol down + power) but it diddn't help, next I have downgraded to V20A after flash, still the same, after Factory reset too. Next step was turning phone to download mode, and repair with LG Bridge, LG bridge does its job, but no effect, still loading and loading. Please help me.
I cant even turn off my phone.
UPDATE:
I've flashed V10F and it boots! After android configuration i have connected phone to PC, opened LG bridge and it detects V20A update. After it makes it, its the same problem then before, didnt boot to system.
UPDATE 2:
Finally.. I have flashed different V20B update by LG UP from this link: http://tool.lime.gdms.lge.com/dn/do...2TDAZ68215DKSQ/H87020b_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0611.kdz
And it works.
I don't know why LG Bridge didnt do the job but now im happy.

What's difference between V20A and V20B?
Matt
Thanks for sharing, one question regarding the update from v20a to v20b with LG UP.
Is there a way to upgrade with KDZ and LG Bridge/UP without losing data? And then I have to reflash TWRP and magisk. Is there a way to do all that without factory resetting every time? It's just a small update... So I'd rather stay on 20a and save the time instead of setting up everything from scratch. Even with Titanium Backup it can take quite some time..
V20B have v30 Thinq camera app. Phone was rebranded to LG G6 ThinQ

LG G6 Flashed Wrong Firmware/Unable to Flash .KDZ File Fix

Hi all,
Recently had some trouble where I flashed a H870 firmware onto my G600L LG G6. After hours of frustration and effort, I finally found the solution.
1. Put LG G6 into Download Mode (Hold Up Button when powered off, then plug in USB cable)
2. Download and Run LG Bridge
3. Go to software update - the software will detect the correct model and download the correct firmware file and install it

Need a hand with my G4

Hi,
I bought my LG G4 ages ago, it used to be my primary phone but I changed a year later. At the moment my mother has broken her own phone and has no phone during this lockdown period, I tried grabbing my LG G4 to give but remembered I rooted it and caused some sort of problem down the line.
The issue is: Whenever I try power the device on it goes straight into the "Firmware Update" screen, and inside the box says 633A B31 and "Modified" at the bottom. The device does not boot into recovery or anything else, even though I vaguely remember installing TWRP when I rooted it.
I looked up ways to fix it, but i encountered the following issues:
-When trying to flash the stock H815 Europe KDZ the LG flash tool just presents a load of question marks instead of text and refuses to work.
-When I type in "adb devices" the device simply does not show up under List of devices attached.
I am stuck, and am looking for a hand if anyone knows how to help me, or at least let me know that my device is beyond fixable. There are some signs of life from it, when I plug it into my PC it makes the windows beeping noise, that's about it. I'd just love to be able to give it to my mother because I feel bad for her during this lockdown period where she is left without a phone.
I have screenshots on my PC with all the device info: IMEI, Software version etc. If that is of any use.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Jay
You have hard-bricked your phone, maybe because you have tried to downgrade from N to MM. But don't worry, that happened to me too.
You have to unbrick your phone through QFIL: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-proper-h815-unbrick-qfil-files-t3709212
Then, try again with LGUP and enjoy again your phone
I reccomend this kdz: https://lg-firmwares.com/downloads-file/15132/H81520q_00_0509
That's the latest MM kdz before Nougat. It'll work on your H815 regardless of your country.
Remember also that this is only for non-UsU devices, as the download mode is not working since you patch UsU.

Thank you so much for the quick response! One thing I've just noticed is my device comes up in LGUP, but never lets me flash stock KDZ just stops at 20% with a "invalid command response error".
I visited the guide you sent, downloaded all the software and tried booting into 9008 mode. Would it be possible for you to explain this method further? My device is taken apart but I have no idea where I'm messing with on the motherboard. I've looked around but I don't understand anything.
Thanks,
Jay
You might not need to do QFIL if you weren't at v29a (the Nougat beta for our h815). LGUP will tell you in which version you are when it recognises your phone (LGH815V2XX).
Here I attach you the latest version of LGUP: https://mega.nz/#F!0wIUVIRI!zmETMswxSrEA7qjkH4rd_A
It has all the necessary stuff for the flash.
The folder which says LGUP error fix contains an dll which you have to paste in the LG program folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model\8994\) in order to fix your problem.
Finally, ensure that you tick the REFURBISH option in LGUP.
