Stubborn P9 Lite wont flash any firmware [help please] - Huawei P9 Lite Questions & Answers

So, I have a Huawei P9 Lite (VNS-L21) and I have a problem: when I boot it up I see the "Your device has failed verification..." message.
I did a hard reset (factory reset) but when I boot it up it asks me for a password and the keyboard doesn't work.
I googled around and I found a lot of posts and I tried everything, no luck.
My bigger problem is that I don't know my phone's model number and firmware version. So I cand find the proper firmware to flash.
The only thing I see is the VNS-L21 on the back. Also, I took the back of and I saw two codes (I don't know if it helps): GA20 and 160521H2
Also, (with DC Unlocker and the the phone in fastboot mode) I managed to get the IMEI and serial number. The SN is: BUC4C16519008689
Now, from many other XDA posts, I know that I have to download the update.zip archive, extract the update.app file and add it to a micro sd card in a dload folder, press vol up + vol down + power and the updte will begin.
Did that but the result was "Software install failed".
I tried to use FirmwareFinder (from Team MT) but I didn't know what firmware to use, so I used this page: https://romfirmware.com/stock-rom/huawei/huawei-p9-lite-vns-l21/
I belive (from checking my IMEI here: https://imei24.com/imei_check/Huawei/) that my custom region provider code is C432 (Europe).
So I searched on the page for a VNS-L21C432B... firmware version, but I don't know what version to choose.
I attached 4 photos so you can see what I'm talking about.
So, any ideas on what should I do next?
Thank you!

Thank you for the info. I read that post and did a little bit of searching but, as I said, the issue is that I don't know my phone's Cxxx code 100% (not sure is the European version, as far as I know it might be imported). Also I don't know at all the Bxxx code.
So what do I have to do in order to get the right one?

Funny! ) I just bought it from a friend already with this problem and I'm trying to fix it.
Update:
I read this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p8/how-to/guide-how-to-unbrick-huawei-p8-failed-t3260704
I tried it, and: FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)

Make sure, phone and FRP is unlocked. There are plenty of threads with unlocking and tools.

It's been some time since I tried to fix this phone because of some medical problems.
Now I'm resuming the work and I tries some stuff but no luck...

Please trust me, I've read a lot of "FRP unlocking" threads on XDA and I didn't solved anything.
Here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68514977&postcount=6 I saw something that I can use Oddin, but how? And what firmware to use?...
Also other thread said that I need the bootloader code but I can't get it from the phone.
Any ideas please!?

Without unlocking code you can't unlock the phone

your bootloader is unlocked but the frp must be unlocked to , the problem is that to unlock frp must boot your device. The only rom that may fix your problem is this l21c432b370 FullOTA-MF-PV it is the PV, with this rom i unbrick my p9 lite
This rom is for L21C432B370 if your model is l31 you may brick it more or not work at all

By the "unlocking code" you mean the bootloader code? And is there any way that I can extract it or get it some other way?

My (other) problem is that I don't know for sure what exact model is because I can't access the settings. All I managed to get with DCUnlocker is this:
Code:
Found Phone : HUAWEI VNS-L21
Model : Huawei phone in fastboot mode
Firmware : NRD90M test-keys
Is this info going to help me?
If I try your l21c432b370 FullOTA-MF-PV rom can I do something that is irreversible?
Btw, you said "it is the PV". What PV means?
Thank you!

Google how to root your phone, you need imei code maybe. I can't remember anymore. And remove IMEI and S/N info, it's sensitive.

PV means point version and is used to move between android versions
If the readings are correct your rom is NRD90M test-keysand you have the l21 , so the NRD90M test-keys means that its problematic rom (it come up when upgrade from android 6 to 7 in huawei phones , if you look here you will see to many problems like your, some are lucky and fixed some are not so lucky) , what do you mean irreversible when you have a bricked phone? you can download this rom and try to install it with dload directory , i thing its the only way that you can try

I see same thing like in your screenshot on my CAN-L11 downgraded with the TWRP backup.
Is that a problem? What's the purpose of this oeminfo? Can't we get it after reinstalling stock rom?

Hmm.
I read that it is related to debranding. E.g.: changing the region to get updates for that region. I'm not sure, but this is what I understood after I read some comments.
But you may be right.
I can't find a proper definition / explanation about what's oeminfo...
Tomorrow I may install stock ROM to check for updates and see if it's working or not.
EDIT:
@mArIuS% , I've created a file named custom.bin in /data and wrote hw/eu in it then I ticked all the checkboxes at permissions (I remember that there was saying vendor:hw and country:eu at begin, before I even unlocked my bootloader).
Now when I call *#*#2846579#*#* again, I can see the vendor and country.

Debrand from vns-l21 to vns-l31

Hello everyone. I have a question. Before that, I want to tell my story. Originally my phone is from china, which version is g9 (vns-dl00). At the first time I used the phone, I got notification for updating firmware. I followed the step and then when I saw the "about phone", my firmware turned into vns-l21c432c160. My question is, why the firmware turned into l21 instead of l31 cause I have 3gb of ram? And secondly, is it safe to flash the l31c432bxx firmware on my phone? Thank you and I really appreciate if there anyone who can help to answer my questions.

Google Services don't work - Huawei P9 Lite

Hello everyone, I have a problem with a Huawei P9 Lite VNS-L31 .
The Google Services don't work: when I open a Google app (i.e. Google Play) the Google Login screen appears and disappears quickly, so, I can't login to Google.
This phone runs Android 6.0 with EMUI 4.0, with serial number VNS-L31C900B170... about this SN I read that the problem is this version of the stock ROM that "blocks" the Google Services and can't update to Android Nougat.
I tried to unlock the bootloader by using DC-Unlocker (because the Huawei's official service for the bootloader code shutted down) but I had a problem with the credits payment, so I can't unlock the bootloader now. I had tried to install some firmwares that suggest Firmware Finder 9.5 with the software updater, but none of the suggested firmware had work.
So, in this thread I want to ask if there are a way to install a "normal" firmware (like the C432, that is the european firmware) without unlocking bootloader or unlock bootloader without using DC-unlocker.
I'm having the same problem, somebody can help us?
@faffolao @ITzAndry
Guys I would like you could recover the full functionality of your device ...
but I wondered how you did to have that firmware ( global firmware/C900 ).
In order to solve those problems you need to know the model L31 / L21, single / dual SIM and firmware in use before you had C900 firmware, branded/unbranded included in which region you live, because it also depends on this. Answer me these infos...
I suggest you take a look at the UNIFIED HELP THREAD for aid.
Look at post #6 ...
I can try to help you, better ask or re-read before doing.
Happy Holidays

The program that the post suggests don't work: first of all, the program don't read the bootloader code and for this opens the old website for requesting the unlock code, that is disabled. So it's completely useless. Ah, the program doesn't recognize my device, after enabling usb debug, installed hisuite and enabled manufacture mode (adb recognised it, the program not). So, are you sure that the program is a crap?

Don't know what you're talking about.
Link i posted you talks about update via dload folder AKA three button method.
If you refer to DC-UNLOCKER app and still interested in unlock bootloader read this post,
i will suggest to read the entire thread, then decide.
In any case the device is yours and you can choose what's right for you...

Hello dear,
I don't know if the 'demo' version can be unlocked (bootloader code),
but if yes then you can use @k1ll3r8e's TOOLKIT to rebrand to another region (cust)
like C432 european or C636 asian, etc... you just need the correct files.
Once you rebranded then will be possible to upgrade to nougat via Firmware Finder app
or some other tool/script.
P.S.: What version of p9 lite do you have ? L21-L22-L23-L31-L53 ?

Well, i think you can rebrand to the european firmware (C432);
both single and dual sim oeminfo files and matching firmwares (B160&B161) available. (see the attachments below)
But, like a told, you need to unlock the bootloader first.
P.S.: you already risked to brick the device trying by your own,
using the toolkit and doing something wrong could turn the device in a paperweight....beware what you do with your device !!!

Dear friend,
I agree with you and completely opposed to paying, but
I believe there are no other ways than giving up a couple of beers and
using DC-UNLOCKER which at the cost of 4 euro reads the bootloader code.
Obviously you only know if it's worth it and definitely remains your choice.
For everything you should / want to do there's a guide you just have to follow.
If you encounter any problems or are unsure about how to do,
you can always meet the community or me in this topic.
I wish you the best !!

Hello,
this happened because you
choose that firmware...
you are very lucky you didn't bricked your device.
You could try to use Firmware Finder again

Another way is unlock the bootloader,

At least up to my knowledge, it is impossible to get the code without a PC (more precisely, you can unlock BL without PC only if you have the unlock code).

You can try flash it with Service ROM Download . Type VNS-L31, or VNS- .
Download correct firmware - EMUI version, Cxxx (the bracketed (Cxxx) is your device’s regional variant.
This number is very important in determining the correct firmware to download. Select your previous Cxxx, not current C00 ) and single/dual SIM (all firmwares that end with even numbers are for dual SIM, odd numbers are for single SIM).
Instructions can be found in 'ReleaseDoc' folder.
If you cannot unpack downloaded zip archive on PC, unpack it in the internal memory using this RAR apk.
Extracted 'dload' folder copy/transfer to the SD card. Good luck.

I forgot the last cxxx of the build number, but the model is l31 for sure, dual sim and comes with Android version 6.0, EMUI 4.1
There's no Service ROM for EMUI 4.1 , you have to flash UPDATE.APP file.

I think it's C636 , but I'm not sure.
Any forced flash with wrong region will bring your phone to C900 (global) or will brick your phone.
I can't help you anymore, sorry...
