Hello guys,
So I have a Moto G5 Plus Indian Model (XT1686) and I was using Pixel Experience ROM on it and then when I tried to revert to the stock ROM, I unknowingly deleted IMEI number and I'm left with no network and Sim Card detection.
I have tried every possible ways to probably get it working again, but I have messed up very much for that to work.
So now if there is anyone who is having a Moto G5 Plus Indian Model (XT1686) and is using Pixel Experience ROM and is still having VoLTE, network and Sim Cards detection, then please upload an image of your persist partition and efs partition too (I know restoring other device's EFS partition on mine wouldn't work but I still want to try EVERY possible way to get it working again.
Any help is appreciated, thank you.

kindly provide the link from where you flashed the stock rom? cuz sometimes flashing another variant stock rom creates this. so kindly provide that.

Recently the signal of my G4 motorcycle disappeared, recognizes the chip but not the network. Already put a customized rom, I went back to original sotck rom but it did not work. Someone help me?:confuso:

Please check your IMEI and Baseband.
If IMEI=0, then follow this: [Guide][XT16XX][Solve] Moto G4/Plus IMEI=0 issue
If IMEI is fine, then follow this: [Guide] [XT16XX] [Solve] G4+ Baseband/Network/Volte issue, Lost 1 IMEI & fingerprint
So by complete freak accident I copied over a TWRP backup of my mom's Galaxy S6 which was running an S8+ port ROM, and I restored it to my S8+ by accident - TWRP restored that backup to my S8+ and obviously I was unable to boot, but also my EFS & baseband was ruined because it tried to restore the Galaxy S6 EFS and baseband to my S8+ :crying: :crying: so now after flashing back a normal Galaxy S8+ ROM I can't make any calls/etc as expected.
I do have an EFS backup of my phone but that backup is stored in a computer which is in another country, and I won't have access to it for another 3 months...
Anyways, I was hoping if there was anyone that could help me repair my S8+ IMEI. I only have $5 USD in my Paypal that I could pay, I know its not much but I would really appreciate any help with this. I also have some balance in an SMM panel that I could give as additional compensation if someone is interested in that too. Thanks

Imei are cert based on s8s. I'm not gonna give any sites. But imei repair is a Google search not here. Since you damaged the cert based imei possibly it will cost a lot more than 5 USD. Going rates I've seen are about 100 or so USD. So of some one could get you a copy of that efs sent to you your gold of not I would find a backup til you can repair it

so this thread would be helpful for other who has same problem.
im having a really similar problem, i havent completely lost my efs but i can really get my cell service to connect, it will register when im connected to wifi but goes dead if i disconnect.

ive got g950u that i put v5 safestrap on but messed with a lot setting and think i flashed improper radios. i was trying to do a carrier change im now on stock firmware bit 7 and ive been reading for days trying to fix this. i think i have a efs issue. anyone able to help? my imei isnt gone @ZeroXO

Me too I needa backup of the efs folder g950u final cert fail
Hello, I had a similar issue with a galaxy S8, I contacted Samsung, they told me to use the "galaxy-s-unlock" app, which requires Busybox. And for me it worked ! Maybe you can try on the s8 sd
Hi! last one year i'm using many custom roms on my moto G5 Plus.But recently i just flashed this rom "https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/development/rom-lineageos-16-0-pie-moto-g5-plus-t3929339" and after that i noticed that all the custom roms have a same and common issue,The Phone Encryption not work either i tried to that then i'm unable to use the phone without formating the phone,So i flashed the nougat 7.0 stock rom "https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/help/moto-g5-plus-stock-rom-t3600552" from lolinet,but after flashing all are working but there was no network and imei shows 0,0 both of imei.i contact moto lenovo customer support and then also visit the service center also,they told me to change the mother board on this phone and the price is arround Rs:11000/- so i nothing to do,i'm also tried many methods which are available on xda but no work,,can any experts help me regarding this issue?

Upgrade your device to stock oreo or any oreo rom. This will bring back your IMEI.

XT1962-1_RIVER_RETAIL_9.0_PPOS29.114-134-10_FW_ONLY.zip
Then havock official 10
And my service wasn't working but it deleted my backup from stock rom that was in my internal
And service didn't work so I flashed back a stock rom I got off here
And it now I still can't get service I looked at my setting and my imed is blank well like 00001
And Ive never had this issue with prior phones.
I'm hoping someone on here could give me a lead to fix this issue I haven't had my phone service for a couple weeks now and I need it back as I'm starting a new job soon and also bc it just sucks not having service.

I had a regular moto g7 I'm pretty sure single sim us modle
Well I just install xdalabs and it says I have a g7plus
I didn't know there was a plus I though the reg g7 was the top one
Well I looked it up and it shows a dual sim versions of g7 called g7plus
I could swore I installed the correct stock fw from the link for moto g7 fourm on here and the stick rom works every other way but maybe there different type baseband or something that's not compadable even if they maybe the same otherwise maybe bc dual sim I dunno or maybe that's not it at all I dunno
