This is how I got OEM Unlock option on my J600F.
First open Settings > General management > Date and time
Untick "Automatic date and time" option
Set the date 1 month earlier (this is how I did) or any date from previous month.
Then in Developer options turn off "Auto update system".
Also in Settings > Software update turn off "Download updates automatically"
Tap on "Download updates manually" to register the date from previous month
Turn off Wifi, mobile data and also your wireless home network make forget, because when you restart your phone sometimes wifi connect to your home network automatically and it will get correct date.
Restart your phone. Look up for the date to see was it changed to correct date or stayed from previous month.
If it wasn't changed then go to Date and time and turn on "Automatic date and time" to set correct date, turn on your wifi register your network and in Settings > Software update tap "Download updates manually".
Finally reboot your phone and after booting up in Developer options you will see OEM unlock option.
And just to mentioned try all this on your own risk.

Well the korean varients of this phone have recieved marshmallow and it seems that there are no interface changes ecxept for new icons :/ but it does add doze and the permission manager and all of the "underground" features marshmallow has to offer. When it comes to us though we will at least get the MM bootloader and all that jazz then we can develop S7/S7 edge roms for our device

Sad news... I was hoping for the theme store... I guess I'm going to get the LG G5. It has all the features I'm looking for and it will be easily unlocked... I love my s5. I waited for the s7 just to find out it was locked up. So I ain't going that route. Just hope for good development for the G5!

Unable to use fingerprint lock after device restart

I recently updated my Galaxy Note 4 (SM- N910G) to Android 6.0.1 and I started having issues with my fingerprint lock.
When I restart my device I'm forced to enter the backup password to unlock my device as the fingerprint lock won't work.
But the fingerprint lock works just fine for regular phone locking/unlocking after the device has booted up.
I factory restored my phone and re-registered my fingerprints but that didn't help.
What's wrong?
Sent from my SM-N910G using XDA-Developers mobile app
Have you tried doing a hard factory reset of your device but clear the cache in the hard factory reset menu first? That should fix your problem. If it doesn't then I would take your device to a Samsung Service Center.
This is normal behavior on MM (6.0+), because it would be possible to bypass the fingerprint installing a zip through recovery.
So it's not a flaw, it's a design premise to increase the security.

No, it doesn't say "Password is needed because device was rebooted", it says " Unable to use fingerprint to unlock the device". I could unlock phone using my fingerprints when my phone was running on Lollipop. Don't know if it's a security measure or any problem in fingerprint sensor mechanism.
Sent from my SM-N910G using XDA-Developers mobile app
It is a security feature added to marshmallow. There is nothing wrong on your phone.
If you change your kernel this happend.
befor change kernel diasable fingerprint lock and change kernel then re enable it

Dear,
There is certain problem with 6.0.1 ,..even I'm getting the same problem... even in mute motion " Turning Device over " is not working..
plzz help
Did anyone notice that you can't use fingerprint to unlock the phone after reboot, but you CAN use it to change the password? It doesn't even ask for the old one.
I actually liked the fact that you can only use password after reboot, but this completely defies the added security. Is there any way to disable this?
Is there a fix or work around for this? It's driving me crazy. What good is a fingerprint reader if you have to type a password!!!
The dam thing reboots it's self way to often or I have to to get it to work. Really getting tired of buggy samsung products...

It is asking for your fingerprint before you can change your password. The password cannot be changed by another person.

It is not a bug. It is an added security feature of marshmallow to stop another person to unlock your phone during reboot.
Seriously?
No one knows how to set it back to making FINGERPRINT the unlocking mechanism? It is SUPER ANNOYING to type in the (BACK UP!)password. Can I go to pattern lock at least after reboot? HELP!!!
there is an Xposed module that enables you to use your fingerprint after rebooting. It works. I've been using it on my Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on the latest software, PE2.
Theres no problem with ur device

Nothing wrong your device its absolutely fine .actually this is new feature for security reasons in 6.0.1 marshmallow every time you reboot you must use backup password .same like iphone .not like lollipop and kitkat.
So even if someone cut your finger off to unlock they can't
If you want old feature to unlock by fingerprint when you reboot then you have to downgrade to 5.1.1 lollipop.

Here is the mega mirror link for those who want to try this rom 5.1.6.20R:
https://mega.nz/#!uV0VEYoa!eg9-szF1VREiVquowyE4AmpaCUGfz9u2p2ZLc8GHmWY
I tried for few minutes on this rom 5.1.6.20R found some bugs:
Calling can call out but no voice
Fingerprint authentication not working, crashed cannot add fingerprint
Clearing sms message there is a pop up message "clear <g id=NUMBER>1</g> conversation(s)", should be the icon missing
Unable to access development option, can't tap 7 times on the build number on settings.
There is a map app installed, open it with gps enabled will reboot (so not sure gps is working or not)
The rom is pre-root
There are quite a few chinese apps installed
No gapps, you have to install yourself
Rom is quite smooth
Battery life not as good as asop
Hope there is more stable version coming... trying other roms now

Rogers Firmware Update

Rogers has just pushed an Update - More than a Month after just about every other Canadian Carrier - We'll see if it includes the September Security Patch...
Edit: No September Security Patch - And it may not happen to you - But I had System UI has Stopped - Had to Boot into Stock Recovery and Factory Reset - Royal PITA!
Sent from my SM-G955W ??
I just updated my rogers phone as well and I'm having the same issue. So if I reboot my phone the system ui issue will happen again. is there a fix for this

That's great - I didn't receive it until 09/28 (the update also wasn't available on sammobile.com until 09/28) - And the update resulted in "System UI has Stopped" on my device (apparently I'm not alone) - And the solution to the System UI issue is now posted
Sent from my SM-G955W ??
If anyone with Rogers is interested in their posted Update Schedule for various devices.

The screen shot that I posted earlier was a reply to me from Rogers on Twitter... If that's what you mean.
You're the guy who had the System UI has Stopped... right?
Did you fix it by doing what I said was the solution?

There's no reason why the Factory Reset shouldn't work - It resets everything except for the OTA Firmware update from the Carrier... I'm not sure what you mean by "... I just make sure that my phone died...."?

after I did the update (which came from the Carrie) I've been getting that error. then I rebooted my phone the factory reset my phone thinking it would fix the problem it didn't. Cause every time I turn my phone off an turn it back on That same error comes back. So what i need to do is do a roll back to the update I had before.

No you don't - You need to Boot into the Stock Recovery - Volume key to select Factory Reset - Volume key to select Yes - Power key to Execute the Factory Reset - Volume key to select Wipe Caches - Power key to Execute - Volume key to Select Reboot.
Nothing that you changed from the time you got the phone will be left on your phone.
The Firmware version displayed in the screen shot below is working perfectly now.

Well I'm sure that you understand that I have no way of knowing how experienced you are - So I'm erring on the side of caution ?
You might want to call your Carrier's Tech support... There's no reason why you're continuing to get a System UI error.

S7 Edge SM-935A G935AUCS4API2 SW Ver ODIN stock firmware fail with FAIL(Auth)

I have tried almost every version of Odin as well as every version of stock firmware I can find and no matter what, the update fails with "FAIL(Auth)" message in Odin. I can consistently get the phone back into the code recovery screen but the Home+Up Volume+Power button starts a "Software Update loop". No matter which version of firmware I try or version of Odin, it fails with that message. I think it is because the boot loader is locked etc from AT&T...but is this thing just bricked and I should pitch it? Spent too long messing with it and it it is garbage that is fine. At the moment if I try to let the phone boot it starts with "Recovery Booting" and then the robot with System Updating just looping. Thanks for any insight or help.

Also this is wrong forum. You need to ask in the G935A/snapdragon variant forums.

Thanks. I will check for that forum although I could not find it with a search. Also, I believe I tried the original Marshmallow binary, which I assume is what you are referring to with the same results.

You can only flash binaries which were already installed on phone prior or higher version.
If you could tell me your previously working binary code, I may give you the link to download and flash it. But since your phone is bricked you can only see that info in download mode. So send a screenshot of your download mode.

I would like to tell you that I don't own these links, and I can't guarantee for their safety. All I know is that I'm giving you the correct binary firmware. ATT firmware isn't available widely. So these links are from lesser known sources. Proceed at your own risk.

Glad to hear that, sometimes solutions are that easy, but most of the times it isn't the case
Btw, there's a thanks button for the very reason of thanking anyone- so you don't have to write a 'thanking' post ;D
