In my mobile, all of sudden BSNL sim stopped receiving incoming calls. I am able to make outgoing calls. BSNL doesn't work at all in both sim slots but jio works fine. When someone calls my BSNL , it says number doesn't exist.
But sim has no problem from service provider and it works fine if I try in other mobiles.
Please give me some suggestions.
I have tried clearing cache and reboot. Turn off/on airplane mode. Activating deactivating sim. But nothing works.
Must be sim problem. Replace sim

It is not a sim problem. Works on other mobiles.
And it's started working all of Sudden.

I bought unlocked, sim free HD2 inserted the sim of my usual Mobilink network the phone wizards automatically configured the setttings but to my strange I cannot dial or receive phone calls, I am receiving and sending sms perfectly the phone GPRS working alright tried different methods of changing band but nothing is working to dial or receive voice call. In order to check if there is problem itself with the phone I tried different network (Ufone) sim and the phone is working perfectly without any problem so I am stuck that I cannot use my network which I normally use and I dont want to switch network, if somebody can help to fix this problem.

Try using another sim card in the same phone and this simcard in another phone

Yeah it's all sorted..... Just had to remove sim card and battery and not turn the phone on for fifteen mins.... With sim and battery staying out of device.. It's weird... But it's the only solution that worked out of all. I tried
I have same problem.. Already tried change simcard, turn off device for 5-10 minutes, reboot with wifi off, use fix call, but no luck..
Sms and data runs well, only calls (incoming & outgoing) and ussd that have problem.
Could anyone please advise...? I use erobot v23 for n910s n prime kernel 4.3.8.1

Go to setting/ networks/ mobile networks/ 2G (GSM) only...
Of course now you can make a call but no data...If you want data change again to LTE...but no calls....that's the problem of note 4...
As for me, when I switch to lte , then I can't make a call and I get random restarts...
I can't change it to gsm. It automatically turn back to lte...
Btw, when I installed I couldn't find my csc. It should be xse, but I had to use another country (vietnam n thailand). Does it matter?

I am from India. I have 2 sim cards from service providers Airtel and Jio. when i make/receive a call through Jio, the other person can hear clearly. But when i make/receive a call through Airtel, the oher person can hear my breaking voice. for example if i say: "Hi, How are you?" they will only hear "H_ __w __r_ y"
while testing with a continuous voice, i found that the breaks in between have exactly same gap time (approx 1 sec).
Also, this only happens only in 3g/4g mode. if i put the airtel network in 2g mode, there is no voice break.
I also got the sim card changed, but it is the same in new sim card as well.
I tried swapping the sim slots, it is the same in both the slots.
I tried putting the sim in other phone, and it works fine.
the question is, if my phone has problem, how does Jio work fine on both the slots? and if there is problem with Airtel network/sim card, how does it work well in other phone or in the same phone with 2 mode?
I am really confused, and tried searching for a solution on the web. I tried switching off Noise cancellation, switching off "OK google" as well.
Some help / guidance would be really appreciated...
Note: Jio is VOLTE based network and Airtel is normal 4G

am having the exact same problem. Jio on Volte and Idea on normal 2g (i suppose because there is only one common setting fro both sims i.e 2G/3G/4G Automatic). Jio works fine but idea call breaks on every call i receive and the calls i make. Any solution ?
Its related with h+ you wont have any issues with 2 g or 4g that h+ issue is killing me

There could be 3 possible ways.
1) Software bug
2) sim slot pin breakage
3) sim card chip problem
Identify the root cause at first.

2nd and 3rd not possible. Since data and messages are working.
Can you provide more information.
Are you on 4g network.
What type of error do you get.
Your circle.
Have you changed your network settings using *#*#4636#*#*?
Have you tried calling using 3g and 2g only?
If not choose WCDMA only (use above code). Also try with GSM only.

Hey.... i have same problem.....i tried 2 different airtel sim .....they are working fine in sim slot 2 but having problem in making outgoing calls while placed in sim slot 1. Data network and messages working fine but no outgoing calls.
As u told about *#*#4636#*#* its shows UTMS in voice network

Same problem here. Solution for now is to change to 2G network, at least for me. When I try to call with 4G preferred sometimes it work, but when it works they can't hear me and I have to scream. This Pie update have so many bugs it is ridiculous. I can't believe they put such ****ty update to the masses it seems like BETA version. In Oreo when making call phone switches from 4G to 3G instantly now in Pie switches worry slow if it even switch and the signal is so bad that the call drops and that is in places where the signal is perfect
Hi, since last 4 days i am facing same ptoblem cellular SIM in slot 1 not working for incoming and outgoing calls and outgoing sms but internet and sms service (invoming) is working perfect on 4G
When i switch it to 3G/2G it shows no signals
But when i inserted this same sim in slot 2 all things work perfect. same problem occurred even when i inserted other network sim in slot 1 (internet and sms(incoming) worked but unable to do calls) I had factory reset but problem not solved

Guys i am using A2017U model and when i insert airtel sim, internet works fine but calling is not.
When ever i try to call from axon 7 it dosent connect and when i try to call my airtel num it always says busy.
Anyone with same problem or with any solution?

Yupp, that the issue.
Are you using airtel sim?
Aside from possible cell band incompatability, have you checked apn settings?
Sometimes the phone will set itself up ok, other times you need to either edit the apn or make a new one.
